The mech of this model are exactly like LG VCR'S from that era.but - I won't remember original LG VCR's with such VFD Display,I think that the remnants of the original(?) Sansui just ordered that model from them with that addition.and that was on 1997/98,just when the original Sansui was on it's last legs,and they only produced and sold Hi End stereo gear fot the japanese market-and to the rest of the world just a rebadge cheap electronics-like this VCR.
