I blame the writting I think they missed a good chance of Katies character to really breakdown and become a good 'villian' and have her finally realise all her pent up anger that I personally felt she had burning inside since the death of her dad no one really asked her how she was coping, as it was about the young Dixon...and she was just there in the background. The problem was bringing families and people that no one cared about. Rachel, Mike, Emily, Jimmy became annoying, the drug storyline was pathetic. The soap had still got a lot of potential but felt like the writers were more invested in Hollyoaks at this point.

Think the clint moffatt storyline dragged on way to long Katie started to become very annoying.
Yeah, at the time it felt like Katie was depressed forever. But binge watching it now, it doesn’t feel too bad and is actually quite realistic.
