Congratulations on 102k Subscribers. This was a work in progress, with BTMS issues and a good community support helping to find a coil issue. Good job and Thumbs up 👍
11:42 Can you ask JK Increase the charging time in Float mode Currently I can set a maximum of 12 hours I would like a week (168 hours) or even more (for example, Victron in ve.config has a standard setting ,,Repeated absorption interval - 7.00 Days,, In systems where batteries are not used constantly and are not connected to solar panels, but work only during power outages, it makes no sense to exit Float mode after 12 hours Thank you for your work!
its $45 each for under 100. And yes, they do not have studs but you can probably have them laser weld them on. Plenty of their other listings show the batteries without studs but their descriptions say that the hardware and bus bars are included.
I have a battery from Bemory manufacturer in similar case. The cells have laser-etched QR codes that are worn out, but under certain lighting angles, the markings can still be deciphered. They use two-year-old cells with an internal resistance of 25-40 mOhms. Swindlers!
Andy. If you come across the heating pads for this battery’s I live in cold area and I can’t find the heating pads for them. I enjoy your videos they are very informative. I’m and the process of jumping into the 48volt system and learning about as much as I can. Thank you for posting. 🙌
Testing the lights in the room and it is plugged in with an extension cable. I've shown this in previous videos. Still figuring out the position and if it is the right type of lights.
To avoid cable mis-connections, I always use red heatshrink for positive cables and black heatshrink for negative cables. I do this regardless of cable insulation colour (I have a mixture of red, black and orange cables) I see you have used black heatshrink for both cables.
Heya, oke after a lot of trouble with the JK BMS and rain!!! still a full test of this battery 16,6KWh that's some nice power. very nice test. how many compleetly working batteries do you now have and if you would connect them all how many KWh you now have ?
Finally got my Yixiang case in from China, was sure it was gonna die in the California fires on the way but it made it out in time :-P Threw it together tonight and of course no light so I'm charging with a ~600w charger right now...better than the solar I'd get anyhow... No real issues so far, have the V1 case. I will note that you need to watch where they put heatshrink on those flexible bus bars, especially on the dual bolt terminals as it was going to be sitting on the terminal with heatshrink in the way. Ended up taking an x-acto knife and cutting off about 2-3mm of the heatshrink just on the mating side to be sure it made full terminal contact. Also, those bars holding the balance PCBs, they give you EVA foam for the bottoms but the SIDES are more of a danger since they run along the entire length of all the terminals...and nothing for them...
Oh one thing I saw on the V1 DIY case is the on the circuit breaker they used they are bridging the left/right sides on the portion the BMS connects to with a small aluminum bar. That didn't sit well for me so I cut a flexible bus bar down and used that instead since they're copper and much wider. They really should use a dual lug on there, maybe the spacing doesn't match...
16kWh in a single battery, that's awesome. With a 200A BMS that's probably perfectly sized to run an RV, just need to figure out if that beast will fit in the front hatch of the fifth wheel I'm looking at.
Great video like always, very informative, thanks! I have 2 x 16 of these cells with 2 x 200A/2A active balancer JK BMS's. I installed the latest firmware on both. I tried to update the JK BMS Android app, but there is no update yet. Do you know when JK will release the version you are using?
Nice tower of power. But need to get some 19" rack channel and tie the cases together at the front, would be sad if the wheels hit a bump and tower tipped. Maybe the sides at the back also.
Andy get your subscribers to check if they are actually still subscribed. I hadnt seen any of your videos in a while so i looked for one and the subscribe button was somehow unchecked. subscribed again :)
Andy - Don't mix drywall dust and electronics... Drywall dusts tend to blow up electronics. Use a vacuum with a long hose and point the exhaust outside.

Hi Andy, don't talk to me about casters. I am nursing an 87 year old who uses a big Zimmer frame on casters. When all 4 wheels point different directions or hit a tiny wee bump it's like the brakes are jammed on, he has a big wobble and falls over. 😱🤬😭🚑

you almost comment on all Andy's video.😀

Andy is dancing with Gobel Power of tower😂
A vid popped up last night on my feed for MB30 cells going for $44 ea. >100 and $47 ea.
No studs.😊

What is this funny cable dangeling from the roof? Btw nice car and color!

Just waiting for my Box with these cells 😊 it is close to Africa right now and expected end on Jan. at my home. Just in time for spring in Europe….
Andy you should diy spray foam the garage.. It would not only insulate but also seal the the cracks

Yeah a new episode to watch
How much cell capacity you have already? Over 100 kWh?
HE REPLAYED TO SOMEONE SAYING IT'S MAYBE 250KW/H

16Kwh will be good enough.
What battery DIY kit would you recommend or prefer?

Did you count how much kWh in total you got there? This shelf and the gobel power batterys should be around 105kWh.
Never counted, no. Around 250kWh I would guess.
@@OffGridGarageAustralia Nice. you should parallel them all and provide backup power to whole australia 🤣
@MeisterQ once the battery room is ready... But we will stay off grid😄
@ That the best 👍 best greetings from kassel
The Ioniq 6 does not come with an app ?
Are you now going with Gobel boxes + JK inverter 200A ?

Thanks!
Thanks a lot for your generous support!
Hi Andy, did you ever test EV batteries taken from crashed EV cars? Some other TH-camrs have connected EV batteries to the solar system.
Nice

WHAT IM MISISNG IN VIDEOS IS INFO WHEN PRODUCTS YOU REVIEW WAS PROVIDED FOR FREE OR YOU PAID FOR THEM. IF FREE-THIS SHOULD BE SAID IN VIDEO.
It doesn't matter. Andy has proven that he gives his honest opinion even with free products. If something is crap, he calls it out.
And I've got 3 such batteries :)
Which Bluetooth Version you have? Android or IOS and which Version.
Can you please upload in your google-drive!
Thank you
Danke!
Thank you very much for your support! 🙏
