@@IntrepidCraft More like cry over and over again. First he buys a car that had all sorts of issues along with the rust. Got it tuned, but then had engine issues. Now a new chassis that also has its share of issues. It looks mostly rust free, but not completely. Now it needs to have some welding or something done to fix the removed parts. Great series, but he's got nothing but headaches with this car.

doing same stuff 3 times in a row. Not idea. Do it once and properly. But again. We are on youtube where more videos = more fun?

As someone who cleans his bolts before reassembly, I definitely care about ALL the things that are never seen. I also watch all of the build videos. EVERY SECOND.
I appreciate what Andrew did, replacing the frame gussets in the rear. I was worried when you mentioned the cut sections then the next shot had interior bits covering them. Whew!
I've been watching you guys for years. You've provided me countless hours of entertainment. I have Asperger's and sometimes life is overwhelming and watching stuff like this really calms me down. I just wanted to say thank you. Sometimes you provide massive comfort to people you've never even met. That's pretty special and worthwhile. I know it's not why you do it, but it's a nice side effect.
I like it that you had the fuel regulator bracket painted and not the rest of the things swapped, like the prop, the stitch weld on the back, etc… ✊🏽👌🏽
The fact you keep referring to it as a Talon leads me to believe it’s staying a Talon, which makes me happy. The Eagle Talon was one of the first cars I lusted over as a little kid, even before knowing it was an Eclipse in sheep’s clothing so to speak. Looking forward to seeing the final product!
As I have said in every other DSM video, PA is not the problem. Maryland is significantly worse. The real problem, which you finally talked about in this video, is any state that puts salt on the roads. As someone who was a PA safety inspector in Lancaster county, I can tell you that your first DSM would not have passed inspection. If it had “current” stickers, they were either fake or the “inspector” committed fraud.

I had a 91 Eclipse GST. Made good power and was a quick almost sleeper. I now drive a 5n Tiguan with a mark 6 GTI motor also fwd and it’s insane how similar they feel. I know yours is AWD but still there will always be something special about a proper turbo 4. Anyone who has driven any EA888 will likely know what I mean.
My dad did some thing like this with 3 Chevy pick ups. It’s a different truck from the hood to the fenders, the cabin, the bed and even the chasis. Unless he tells people no one ever knows. 68 step-side FTW 🤤
Tip for wrestling a driveline in while it way up like that is to use a transmission hoist we keep a couple 2x4s nailed together to hold them steady if you don't have an extra set of hands.
Respect you still have the will to work on it. This is typical example for fab b4 test, test b4 design. Previous owner has no clue what they doing, just cut cut cut, fab fab fab. The mit belongs to junkyard 😊
Sorry Mark.. I was one of them asking for a swap. 😅 but i can see the light at the end of the tunnel and driving a built AWD DSM. Hopefully you get it fully set up so you can daily it and actually enjoy it. P.s i do care and i do watch the built videos!..
That big hole in the trunk is a spare tire holder. It drops down enough for the spare to sit flush with the floor, at least on a fwd car. I cant remember what it looks like for the awd, it might be the same. Was probably cut out to make space for a rear diffuser. Looks like they wanted to cage it and make it a track car
It's interesting to think that I knew people who built these cars. It's interesting seeing what it takes to do it yourself, instead of in a factory with many robots.
I'm surprised you didn't go with the entire 3" stm turbo back. I bit the bullet and bought it but hands down worth every penny. It's mandrel bent so the only welds are the flanges and muffler so it looks super clean
As someone who's lived in Pennsylvania for almost 20 years I agree with ben in not buying cars from up here 😂 Bought my most recent vehicle from Delaware and she is rust free for the last 5 years of ownership
I got a used car that lived a lot of years in NY and the rust is minimal but the AC condenser and everything ac related was brand new lol. Only thing that had rusted and broken down in the 3 years I've owned it the ps lines.
Glad to see two eclipse in one week on the interweb. Good build but only one thing bothers me, that fitting in the tank needs to flip. The nut will vibrate off in the tank.
Us: “Buy a clean chassis to swap into.”
Ben: “Best I can do is a cut up chassis.”
definitely a buy cheap cry twice series 😹

Love how Tall Bens videos are “suave lofi chill building” and Short Ben ones are “AERO. RACING. HONDA RAHHH”
LMAOO
The duality of Ben
Azn Ben
The best balance of content
LMAOOOO NAH FR 😭
'They don't watch the build video's'.
Me always hyped for a new build video!
Fr these videos are goated
As someone who cleans his bolts before reassembly, I definitely care about ALL the things that are never seen. I also watch all of the build videos. EVERY SECOND.
As an Australian, I gotta say, your aussie accent is on point (again).
Practice makes perfect 👌🏻🇦🇺
I still get a hint of New Zealand from it but it’s definitely still good for a chuckle
We'll see how Ben says GTR then we'll know how Aussie he really is 😅
Don’t encourage Ben. Great to see PWR products though!
@steventonkin89 you mean GDARRR
I appreciate what Andrew did, replacing the frame gussets in the rear. I was worried when you mentioned the cut sections then the next shot had interior bits covering them. Whew!
I'm just here for the chapter titles
it's
Chassis titles are sometimes more entertaining than the actual video, and it's one of mynfavorite channels to watch
Dude fr Ben be cooking up some nice titles lmao 😂
Warning: this video contains Ben’s crack 😂😂🤣
Crack kills 😂😂😂
I was going to say the build is getting to him….. the cracks are showing 😂
builder's crack, get mark to drop a quarter in
Gears and Crack-so-lean
You guys do such a good job. Your videos make me get out in the garage and work on my own junk.
I love you, Bens.
And Mark, I guess.
it's the "I guess" for me 😅 you took it personally when he called us out for being the worst didn't you 😂🤣

Love this build series, something about the whole crazy swap process makes seeing the talon come together even more exciting
I like it that you had the fuel regulator bracket painted and not the rest of the things swapped, like the prop, the stitch weld on the back, etc… ✊🏽👌🏽

That Aussie accent is getting better and better, you best be booking a trip down here soon.
Rude. LOL. I have my morning Saturday coffee and relax during the build videos.
Keep it up guys. Driving that rebuild Talon soon. I'll be there.
Thank you Mark for putting up with us.
I just got back to the states from Brisbane AUS to visit some friends we met in Cabo, and I have got to say your Aussie accent is insanely good lol
Love this build series! People still want to see the basic stuff. I can appreciate the mix between voiceover and camera work!
when it's all good and done, this will be the most awesome diamond star on this channel, no offense Lana.

This series has honestly made me never wanna touch a DSM of any kind. 😂😂

That Spanish guitar impressions was awesome, I loved it
I watch the build videos and I would’ve replaced/repaired the rear structure support. Always like seeing how it’s all done!
Tip for wrestling a driveline in while it way up like that is to use a transmission hoist we keep a couple 2x4s nailed together to hold them steady if you don't have an extra set of hands.
Awesome video as always Ben and Mark.
Good on you for not cleaning and painting parts as you swap them. My adhd would make me and then the project would stall
Gotta say I do love these style of build videos! Especially the not-needed welding
That Australian accent attempt by Ben is funny. 😂
Absolutely love every second of the build videos. Even I didn't care about the rear seat support brace whatever it was
I watch the build videos and I'm glad you welded in the rear strut support
Respect you still have the will to work on it. This is typical example for fab b4 test, test b4 design. Previous owner has no clue what they doing, just cut cut cut, fab fab fab. The mit belongs to junkyard 😊
Crawled up in bed with the flu I open up TH-cam to find a new G&G episode, made me feel a little better. ❤️
No sound deadening added back into the chassis you will regret that if you want it for a street car
tin can life
Id say he should be using alot of sounddeadening, its easy now when there is no interior. Its nice to have a quiet car.
Love that you guys are putting this back together and taking care to do it properly. I live in Pa and bought my rust free Miata from Maine. Haha
I'm really glad this is running long. Very enjoyable to see more of the process.
Edit: I care about the cross-member brace thingy!
Sorry Mark.. I was one of them asking for a swap. 😅 but i can see the light at the end of the tunnel and driving a built AWD DSM. Hopefully you get it fully set up so you can daily it and actually enjoy it.

At least you guys are saving a classic Automotive historic car. I know it’s not a JDM Legend, but it was part of the 90’s import scene era!
Thanks Andrew for fixing the rear crossmenbers
Cleaning the shop *chefs kiss* love that feeling when it is all out away nicely.
Happy to see you guys come back on your build . Cant wait for the next episode .
Good luck on track boys and love the title chapters
Remember kids, crack kills
Lmaoo😂😂😂
We watch these build videos and everything you do does matter to us! Great job! 😎
Eclipse/Talon and Mia are definitely my favourite series on G&G!
I didn’t think I would enjoy this video this much! Dope guitar beats!
Immaculate vibes with the John Mayer soundtrack on this one
I think Ben should do an entire video with the Australian accent.
I’m here for the build videos. I don’t care much for the racing…because that’s other people having fun that I can’t be there for.
Such an awesome build, the donor chassis was picked clean twice!
Don’t know much about DSMs but I’m loving this build series. Keep it up guys!
I'm surprised you didn't go with the entire 3" stm turbo back. I bit the bullet and bought it but hands down worth every penny. It's mandrel bent so the only welds are the flanges and muffler so it looks super clean
I used to live right near that park factory in Australia, it’s cool seeing that shot cause I know exactly where that is haha. Small world.
I feel the pain on this one. I am swapping a ton of parts from my rusted STI to another STI chassis. So much work
As a DSM owner, thank you for doing this right!
We do watch the build videos at least some of us. Long live dsm
It's funny how the nuggets are always the one that are the most interesting
Just take it slow and get everything how you want it, we will be here to watch!!
I personally love the build videos. Thanks guys. Loved the soundtrack too
Can’t hide those inspection stickers from me 😏 I’m glad you saw it
I really appreciate the welding!! Incredible work!!
Ow hey I drive pwr every day and I’m running a pwr radiator in my mx5.
Also please convert the talon rear end to the eclipse xoxo
As someone who's lived in Pennsylvania for almost 20 years I agree with ben in not buying cars from up here 😂 Bought my most recent vehicle from Delaware and she is rust free for the last 5 years of ownership
Not true, we watch all the build videos and being a former DSMer. I love this content!!!
Fixing that support brace was absolutely necessary and not just for looks. You would 100% notice the chassis flex more without it.
The flamenco backing track for the later half of the episode was choice!
Started having Ace Combat Flashbacks
These guys are making this project soooo much harder than it needs to be haha.
I got a used car that lived a lot of years in NY and the rust is minimal but the AC condenser and everything ac related was brand new lol. Only thing that had rusted and broken down in the 3 years I've owned it the ps lines.
We do watch the build videos 19:53
from the bottom of our heart. we are really sorry and glad at the same time
Apparently Ben also works as a plumber ok the weekends
Super glad you fixed the rear bracing =)
I like how yall put the music in the description!!!
I watch the build videos, they are the best at making me realize I know nothing.
This is so inspirational. No project is too much!
I love the Spanish guitar. Need more of that 😆
imma be real bens aussie accent hits
Im starting to believe he's specifically choosing australian companies for parts at this point just to do the accent
The cars get worse but the music gets better
I can tell Mark is really stoked for this build. 😛
When this is done, i’d love to see a “Fleet Update” on all the cars G&G has
As the world enjoys its last solar eclipse for years to come, G&G viewers enjoy another type of eclipse, within an eclipse
Eclipse content is always good content, wish more youtubers got down on this car.
Always excited to read the chapter titles 😅
"IT'S A GOOD CAR!"
Gotta say, the music to editing ratio is impeccable 👌🏼
I’m digging the music. Peaceful.
I need to go back and rewatch the video about why the hell you wanted/started this Eclipse nightmare.
I dont know how you fund to make these videos/projects. But salute to you, because I love them 👍
Cool you guys are not giving up on the DSM
Glad to see two eclipse in one week on the interweb. Good build but only one thing bothers me, that fitting in the tank needs to flip. The nut will vibrate off in the tank.
Enjoying the eclipse of Ben's moon in front of the talon
I’m so glad I had my 100 DSM’s before all the dopes ruined them, and they rusted to nothing. I still have the 1994 we bought in 1997.
The Internet: "Chassis swap it, it'll be easy" 😂
This me doing a ton load of work on a not so good decision😂and my mother is there looking at me the way Ben showing Andrew what was done for a cage😂
The time stamps have my crying rn 😂😂😂😂
