Every Skylander Game Ranked from Worst to Best

- Greetings fellow Portal Masters and welcome to the next ranking video!
For the first time in history, I did some research. During that research, I discovered so many Skylander games and I thought to myself "How good are all of these?" Sadly, I don't have the option to play them all but thankfully, a certain review site has me covered. Metacritic is a website where they combine every review for any game, movie or TV show and give an overall ranking for the pick. So, in all fairness, I decided to take to their website and give you the official rankings for EVERY SKYLANDER GAME EVER! For the first time, this isn't my personal list so lets see what the actual greatest Skylander game is OF ALL TIME!
For the first time, this isn't my personal list! If you try to get mad at me, I WILL retaliate as its the critics who picked these, not me. Hopefully you'll like it anyways.
Besides, Superchargers would be #1 for me anyways, so cmon.

As a kid, I got each game for each birthday except for trap team which was the year that I missed. So it didn't become my favourite, that would be superchargers which was the first time I ever completed the story mode of a game in one day.
That’s funny, I also skipped trap team. Also superchargers is my #2 fav
My fav is Trap Team on console.
I miss playing battlecast and I'm still salty ring of heroes shut down before I finished it
My take Ranking the 6 Mainline Games From Worst To Best
6. Spyro’s Adventure: Honestly to me it has the Least going For it. It has no difficulty setting, the Title is a Complete Lie, you Can’t Jump. But It does have some uniqueness with its Elemental Gate And Characters like Gurglefin. I may be a little bias ranking it this low because I played all the other Skylander games before playing this one. It has its charm but I feel like giants is an improvement in almost every way.
5. Imaginators: It really sucks ranking it this Low but it’s got so many problems that I can’t overlook. It has no replay value unless you really want to get all the Imaginite Pieces which sucks because you can duplicates. All the bosses with a select few Like the hammer Doomlander and sea Monster are just so mediocre. They nerfed almost every skylander that isn’t an Imaginator or sensei, Which sucks because the best ones are like 40 bucks at minimum and I am never gonna play all the Bonus levels because they’re even more freaking expensive. The worst part about it is there really isn’t any replay Value. The Brain’s missions are so freaking repetitive they really aren’t fun anymore after a little bit of replay. Not to mention that it Probably has the worst Storyline in all the games.
4. Superchargers: had I made this List last year I would’ve ranked this game at the bottom and not given it a second thought. But I gave this a second chance and the game Isn’t that bad. It really depends on how you feel about the Vehicle sections and I along with many don’t vibe with it. But that said, When you do get to play as Skylanders it’s really fun. I just really wish this game revolved around a different Gimmick. In terms of bosses, this game falls on the weaker side sadly since I really don’t find the vehicle sections fun. The Darkness is Just the worst boss in the series and I have played against all the bosses in the game, including all the vehicles sections. Battle brawl Island Is my favorite level in the Series though and while the boss fights aren’t exactly challenging, they’re all pretty fun. I just wish I could say that for the other bosses in the game. Many people say Superchargers has the best story in the franchise and I do sort of agree, I just don’t see it as being that much better than some of the other Games.
3. Giants- I think people sleep on this game a bit. The Story with the World building with the Arkeans makes this Game feel like the Only installment that directly takes place after the first Game. In terms of content the Arena modes with Brock Are great and while this Game has barely any bosses, It has Drill-X. Enough Said. If only they Could jump.
2. Trap Team- while it sucks this was the Game that started Cutting Content like getting rid of PVP and Requiring Elemental Gates to only be opened by trap masters. Trap team has so much other stuff that more than Makes up for it. Trap team has some of the Beat Boss Fights in the Series: Chompy Mage, Krankase, Wolf Gang, GOLDEN QUEEN, LUMINOUS! It also Brings Back Brock for some of his new challenges and this is the Only Game that has the Kaos doom Challenge, which to me, is one of the best challenges in the Skylanders franchise, It is a great way for skylanders to Level Up and Get money fast, I’m honestly surprised that no one really Mentions it. I do wish they could’ve taken more time to polish things out and Give more villains Quests that feel like Actual quests rather than just talking to someone and Getting a free Power up. I also wish that week could choose a point in a level to replay rather than being forced to play through a Whole level just to fight the boss you want to fight.
1. Swap Force. Even though this was the First Skylanders Game I ever played, I really don’t feel Biased for Placing it at Number One. It offers possibly the most content out of every Skylander Game and Has the Best Final boss fight in the series for me, and Mesmerelda(She’s no Drill-X but she’s plenty good). One of my favorite things in this Game that no one seems to talk about is the Checkpoint system. Since the Levels are so long you can reach a checkpoint in the middle a stop there then pick it up another time. This game also has the most replayibility out of all the Games, Survival, Team Survival, Rival Survival, Battle Mode(although it Some skylander just make the match unfair if you fight against them: Star Strike, Thorn Horn Camo, Bumble Blast, Jet Vac, Boom Jet’s Bottom half, Freeze Shift, Flashwing, Grim Creeper and Freak Wrecking ball on the Wii version), Time Attack, etc. Swap force has Hands down the Best Gimmick in the Series too, it’s just so clever. It also has some of the Best Npcs in the Series if you ask Me, Tessa, Sharpfin, Marshal Wheelocke, Shell Shock, Whiskers, Avril, the HippoBros (#betterthanpersephonie), and Kaossandra. I really Struggle to see why swap force shouldn’t be Number One.
I'm relieved about where skylanders swap-force and superchargers were on this list and I really miss skylanders lost islands.

If you are lucky to get your hands on a second-hand IPod touch with Skylanders Lost Islands on it you can still play it. (bonus if it has collection vault on it also)
as for Collection Vault and Skylanders creator, I would not rank them as games for they were just normal mobile apps

However, Giants on 3DS can reset your creation crystals, so it's an essential pickup, if only for that alone.
Vicarious Visions were the critical darlings, locking out the top 3! Well deserved with the console games imo, but the 3DS games got better and better with each sequel so I am surprised to see how low they ranked.
Swap force deserved to win but im very surprised that a bunch of the main console games all got the same score and were beat by the 3ds version of the first game. I do feel like Giants is the best game though
I will say, the 3DS games have a special place in my heart. They were the first ones I really played, so they have the most memories for me.
But Giants 3DS deserves the bottom spot solely due to how glitchy it is 😅
I love Imaginators but the characters feel like they do less damage on Switch lol
i still regret choosing lost islands as the game to delete for more storage

I gotta admit, I'm a little disappointed that Swap Force is number one. I like the story of some of the others better. Also, I find that it has more problems than the others, though I guess that could be because I have it on the wii but I find that hard to believe considering trap team works exactly the same on the wii as on other consoles with the only difference being the graphics.
i think imaginators is my favourite due to the roster, gimmick and overall gameplay
The guacamole monster Is so much better than any of the bosses in previous games and the copy and pasted boss fights were so great, not to mention the absolute terrible story, absolutely beautiful.

Amazing that Metacritic also has the percentage of most Skylanders mobile games, interesting ranking.
I knew swap force would rank high because of the insane amount of content they crammed in while also being an very polished game, but i did not expect it to be number 1. Glad to see my favorite game at the #1 spot, the long levels never bothered me, especially since they are much more replayable after getting the 3 stars

I personally think swap force is the *best* skylander game, with the best gimmick, fun levels, decent story, one of the best character rosters and a HUGE amount of content besides the main story.
However, my personal *favourite* is trap team for a myriad of reasons. So those 2 are my go-to 😊

I did love Swap Force on the Wii, it was my first Skylanders game. But Swap Force on the Xbox One was a huge revelation in terms of both graphics and controller response. So while SF on many of the listed platforms are indeed #1, SF on the next-gen systems are even better ! (Is there a #0 ??)

I still believe there will be at the end of giants 10th anniversary video 2022 master eon said “the skylands are safe for now but i have a feeling new adventures are right around the corner” one of the devs said yeah 2 years from now right around the corner. So when trap team 10th anniversary comes hopefully they will finally announce a new game
