The engine for the harrier jump jet was developed at Rolls Royce Hucknall Nottinghamshire. The prototype was just the engine and it was called the flying bedstead because that was what it looked like. At the time there was a pub call the flying bedstead in Hucknall and then a pub called the harrier was opened around 1978-9. I lived opposite it and it became my local for a few years. The noise from testing the engines was horrendous. You have brought back so many happy memories for me. Thank you.
It brings back memories of my parents taking me to museum's 😂 i always said i dont want to go but had no choice 😢 but i always found it interesting once i was there, it was never boring, the history is amazing & you dont know if apart of your family was once the pilot or something 😁 if you get my meaning 😅 Zach seens to take a lot in & keep it in, hes getting more confident speaking in front of the camera, seeing him grow up "too fast" but steven, be nice to Kathryn or else 😂😂 love your banter towards eachother 😂 awesome vlog guys ❤️🌹🍻
Great video as always. On another note I served in the Royal Marines in the Falklands War, never been to the museum you visited but it’s now a must. Thanks for the video. The sheep represents the main focus of the islands is sheep farming. I friend owns the trade name Falklands wool! David
Very interesting vlog thank you. Now on our to do list. FYI Blackpool air show 10th and 11th if August. With your size motorhome you would easily be able to park in the main coach park x
Museum is brilliant definitely visit it love all that kind of stuff. When you look back how much they up and down the east coast protecting the rest of the country from Germany
All vulcans are past their service life and all are grounded, there's not enough unused new parts to make one air worthy. So unless someone has a very deep pocket and able to make new parts, there will never be a vulcan in the air again
Hi we have both and both are worth the money for different reasons. Search for sites is our main go to for parking/sites/wild camp spots, park4nights we use for finding washing machines and it has more suggestions for wild camp spots. If your travelling abroad then search for sites is the best one ☺️
What a brilliant video, thank you to you all,Steve I think you need to apologise to Kathryn, you made fun of her because she didn't recognise the queen in her army uniform but before then you were all looking at the Falklands war money and you didn't recognise the queen!! 😂I'm sorry to say something but I couldn't resist sticking up for Kathryn 😊xxx I do love you too ❤😂
