  • Our adventures traveling from Alberta to British Columbia, Canada in our 1986 Wanderlodge bus this past July, 2020 (early in the Canadian pandemic lockdown). We started at the Lisburn rest area (just northwest of Edmonton), crossed the border into BC and made a quick rest stop in Dawson Creek before finally hitting the Alcan. Wishing we could spend more quality time exploring and seeing all that Canada has to offer, and a GoPro that ended up not working, we collected snippets of our travels. Thankful for the Milepost and all their field work which made our travels enjoyable and educational.

Thanks Kevin. Wish that dang GoPro had been working, but glad we got what we did (next time, upgraded GpPro for sure!)

@@Buoy4AK I hear a lot of folks have issues with go pros.. not sure what the deal is.. I have an inexpensive Yi camera for dash cam footage and it has never failed me yet.. just a thought to save yourself some money on a new go pro..

I've probably seen all your videos now as I re-live our AK journey and when I saw our sticker, I stopped and said, "Hey Trish... look, our sticker is still here". Then moments later you featured it. Thanks. Okay, back to watching.

Thanks, we were stoked to find your sticker! Wish the travel restrictions would’ve allowed us to look for your sign at Watson Lake too (I guess we’ll just have to go back once Yukon reopens 😎).

I am from Alberta too and I have a 1977 Wanderlodge FC.

Awesome! Some of our best friends have a 78 FC (it’ll likely be showing up in future videos). We love ours, but admire the durability if the spring suspension & more straight forward auxiliary systems on those. Welcome aboard!

Amazing footage, thanks for taking us along. I too hope to get up there one day to enjoy some of Alaska. The Wanderlodge group would love to have your input on traveling in Alaska.. many of its members have asked about travel there .

Another great video. Does the ‘Lodge have pneumatic or electric wipers ?? Nice ride, eh?

Thanks! Earlier models had pneumatic wipers, but ours has independent electric (glad for that, less problematic, quieter, etc.). Several systems are pneumatic though (besides the usual suspension & brakes, the step, both chair slides, tilt steering, generator slide, & built in plumbing winterization system are all pneumatic).

Followed you over from your comment on the WOG. Am I wrong thinking the snow is missing? I will positively add this to the must see list. My LX is more like 25 tons and I know I better get it ready time comes. I

You’re right, the trip was July but it’s taken us a while to get things staged to upload (internet up here has been a challenge we’ve only recently overcome), & still learning/upgrading equipment. It was a great trip, with a few more to come. Thanks for watching!
