Steam Freight on the Reading & Lehigh | Model Railroad | N-scale

A short collection of videos shows Reading and Lehigh No. 1829, a 2-8-8-2 Mallet, hauling a string of empty coal hoppers as its descends from Allentown to Reading. 1829 was one of two Reading N1s to receive a longer tender after the merger, for experimental long-haul service, on the merged railroad between the Reading RR and Lehigh Valley RR.

These videos are from the previous version of my layout, before great reconstruction was commenced on Reading and the East Penn Grade itself.
The engine was originally a BLI NW Y6, but was cosmetically re-done for my free-lances/what-if layout!
