    Hey Josh! I wanted to say thank you for all your help. Almost 3 years in cyber now and it changed my life for the better. I watched all of your videos and had over 100 hours in the Cybersecurity subreddit in 2021 seeking advice and asking questions. Not only is cyber a great field, but it hss helped me excel financially for a better life. A lot of people tell me I just got lucky but people like you are the reason, there are truly not enough mentors in this field. It was a tough road but I kept at it. Keep up the content dude and make sure to take breaks!

    Hey Josh, I’m currently in WGU getting my BSIT and I’m also really wanting to start in IT, as I have no experience in the field. I’d like to work and get school done simultaneously, but it’s hard getting any job since I don’t have a degree yet. So my question is, would it be beneficial for me to take one of your courses to try to get a job, or should I just keep going with my degree and focus on it first? I have the means to juggle; just really wanting to get into the IT field. Thanks.

    What prevents AI from analyzing all the daily reports? Just as AI can review code, report back flaws. Seems like this process will quickly be replaced by software. Thoughts?

    Hi Josh. Thanks for the amazing work that you are doing
    Pls advise
    I have ISC2 CC, Google Cybersecurity & Security+ alongside many other minor certs like Qyalys, Palo Alto, etc.
    I also have some 2+ years experience as an IT Analyst, so I know IT stuff, theory and practice. However, I don’t feel confident enough about my cybersecurity skills even though I have done some simulated trainings on vulnerability management, phishing attacks analysis, SQL, python, etc
    I can spend 500 more dollars on my career inside this year 2024, so I have in mind your course (1st option) and CISSP (2nd option). Which should I go for?

    Hey Josh, my retail job will cover WGU Cyber Masters up up to 9 units per year. I don't have previous IT experience (bachelors in related field), whats a better path? Start WGU right away so I can get them to cover 9 units this calendar year and 9 again starting 2025? (basically pay half the degree almost immediately) and maybe start looking for other IT jobs after they pay half? Or take one of your courses and straight into help desk/ junior system admin role and work the experience that way? Will the cyber teach entry level IT skills as well? Any advice here is appreciated since im uniquely set to not pay much for this masters but also have 0 IT experience. Thanks!

    • @ultravioletiris6241
      @ultravioletiris6241 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That WGU Masters is not going to help you much without any IT experience at all. If your objective is getting a job. It REALLY wont help at all for getting ready for help desk.
      Firstly I recommend Josh’s IT course from Course Careers over anything Cybersecurity.
      If you haven’t ever been exposed to the subjects in Security+, Network+… you are going to find PenTest+ and CySA+ and CASP+ from the WGU Masters to be impossible to understand. It’ll be way harder and take way longer without really adding much to the skillset you need to secure an entry job.
      Do TryHackMe for a year. Do you even know what sub field of Cybersecurity you want to do?

    Remote work will be a thing of the past soon for most. Way too saturated, and unless you're working for a company with confidential US information they'll offshore it when times get extremely rough. We are heading into a recession soon. Best of luck to those that continue on the remote path though.

      Keep your head up. I’ve been hearing about a recession coming soon for the past 3 years. Remote work for IT and cyber remain strong and relevant in the area I’m in. Might as well continue to live your life do the best you can, and let what may come.
