  • We prepare firewood for our first winter with the Central Boiler Classic Edge 760. We process six cords using a Stihl MS 261 C-M chainsaw, Wallenstein WXR740 splitter, and Kubota L47 TLB tractor.

Yeah. A little hard work does the soul good. I didn't expect it to have this positive an impact on me but it's been good. Take care, brother!

Don't know if you mentioned before but does the boiler need a chimney up through the roof or does the exhaust just come out the back somehow?

We’ll need a Class A chimney for it, and it’ll go though the ceiling/roof meeting both manufacturer specifications and state code.
We’re actually working on that now, and it required a bit of re-framing. Nothing too serious, but still. Central Boiler does provide a chimney, but it’s not rated (e.g. Class A), so we had to buy our own. We chose DuraVent’s triple-wall stainless DuraPlus chimney. It’s an investment, for sure.
