If you normally pyramid up, pyramid down this time. One superset to failure. Change up the exercise and even the order.
@@MaxAbramson3 nope thats not whats important.
@kattihatt Arnold changes it up. Most amateur bodybuilders. I know, change it up every few weeks. I found that what works for me just completely changing out my routine and shocking the muscles.
@@MaxAbramson3 thats not how it works. Shocking the muscles, thats bro science. Muscles adapt to stress and get stronger. You can use one excersize and get bigger and stronger by increasing weight and volume.
This the one 😂
"I'm gonna start with 315" 💀💀💀
For 20 reps!!!
Drop set to 225lbs

Sometimes I think Arnold accent is what made him famous 😅
He was the perfect combination of physique, facial looks and ‘foreign’ charm.
That is why even today, prints of Arnold outsell modern bodybuilders, such as CBum (no hate intended).
It will be very difficult, to get the exact right circumstances for another bodybuilding celebrity with impact like Arnold. Especially now that every actor is juiced to the gills.
@@RyubearSaysGaolmao Arnold was obviously also juiced. It as even known then. Just not juiced to the same extent.
Arnold was one of the greatest pro bodybuilder of his era, he was taking way more test then even the actors of today. No modern actor our muscling Arnold even today g @@nathan9901
When you look at the guys life and career(s) it becomes pretty obvious hes a very intelligent person. This also does make sense when you know how building muscle works. Hos body is used to the routine and weight so nothing is breaking which means nothing can be built. Changing your routine and increasing pressure will break and build muscle again.
Part of his image yes. He had a speach and language instructor for English but purposely practiced with the accent as part of his persona. It worked

Yea gotta have 5 dudes jump you after a workout
Dr. Mike. I summon you.
I second. But I move to bring in his wife too.
Arnold is correct but his confusion way is just poorly explained. I do change my training days and rotate exercises weekly. It is called Concurrent periodization. Strength athletes use it in conjugate periodization us an example. Once the body gets use to your devotion exercises it is time to switch the way you perform your exercises.
Mike isn't gonna do anything. He's just gonna stare with a gaping mouth
@@tomahawk3645except he already has commented on this broscience shit. sit down buddy. Arnold's concept and explanation of it is wrong but like someone else said what Arnold actually got results from is concurrent periodization, not "shocking the muscle"

Sure, you just have to inject steroids and muscle grows while you're sitting on the couch. 🤡🤡🤡
And....the muscles don't grow without the work.
@carlfrye1566 actually not true, many studies have been done over several decades where they had guys on gear not work out at all, just take juice. Then they had group of nattys that trained the whole time. The dudes on gear grew significantly more muscle while not training at all vs the natty guys who trained the entire time.
@@zacharygreene1979 So why do Bodybuilders still train
@player1641 cause you'll never look like these guys if you just take gear and don't train....I was just responding to the comment "and...the muscles don't grow without the work". In fact they do, but in no way will you have a pro bodybuilding physique by just taking gear, I never claimed that.

This was the best example of bodybuilding plateau I have ever heard.

Not rly tho, changing routine and going out of program just will mess up your progressive overload and will have 0 results in extra muscle growth. Body don’t have a brain

Lol his chest has a neuronet processor
Makes sense. That’s me right now. Been lifting for a few months and recently hit a point where Im not getting sore, at all..even after lifting for 2 hours and running for 20 mins on incline
Soreness isn't a great indicator of workout success, doesn't mean a good workout and not having it doesn't mean a bad workout.
Progressing is the only important sign, especially with low reps you might never feel DOMS again after the first week, but if bar and body weight is going up its all good.
Maybe check into better bodybuilders advice. You only hitting that sticking point because your over training now

“And so I double my dose of gear and got passed that wall”
This is why i go to gym and eat whole box of pizza and coke and go out to go home and sleep. Making sure my body is shock.
This ‘shocking, confusing the muscle’ theory is over hyped. Time under tension, progressive overload will still reign kings of muscle building.
In all my 35 years of training, the progressive overload training and time under tension methodology is the tried and true formula, but the shocking and muscle confusion methods don't get enough press.......... well just my thought on this issue, and I haven't used it in quite awhile....... think this will be my next method for training after I'm done with my current program.........
Yes, that is the best way, but it definitely can help to throw a total wrench in your plan at times. Generally I do tricep pushdowns and skull crushers for my triceps work (as well with regular heavy pressing movements), but once in a blue moon I'll just hammer them with heavy EZ bar close grip presses, working them up to 130-145lbs, and just smoke them with that. The muscle definitely responds to a new stimulus like that from time to time, for sure. It can help to break muscle building plateaus.
It's psychological for him to push for higher intensity training. Almost like a form of self hypnosis. "Shocking the body" isn't literal.
His point is that progressive overload doesn't work forever. Thats impossible. You will hit a wall and plateau eventually.
Funny that a lot of people deny Arnold’s knowledge and claim outdated methods yet look at the shape he was in 😂😂
Arnold's one day work-out is more effective than my whole life work-out 😂
