This video covers some of the most popular classroom seating arrangement styles know to educators and teachers everywhere. Some of the arrangements covered in this video include the traditional, which basically includes rows and columns of desks. It covers all the pros and cons of this particular style of seating students. In fact, pros and cons will be discussed for all of the seating arrangements. Other styles include the round table, which is basically a circle where all of the students are facing one another. This is great for introductions of teachers and students, and it also works well if you are looking to have some good dialogue and discussion.Another style is the runway. This style is good for political debates, or other debates where students can be assigned different points of view and they are then forced to defend the points in class. Small groups is an arrangement that's discussed in detail, this is where students are placed into groups of about four students, but sometimes it can be a student more or less. Nevertheless, there are many pros and cons to the small group seating arrangement styles, and let's note that it is sometimes called group pods instead of small groups. This video is part of a classroom management and instruction playlist that includes other videos on the following topics, beginning with lesson planning what are the required elements and components, classroom management styles for the teacher, bloom's taxonomy explained for teachers, webb's depth of knowledge explained fast, teacher interview questions and answers, the pros and cons of having a teaching career, and many other videos

Nice video. I like to arrange my class with all the tables bunched together in 1 big oblong table. Works really well.

Gifted Education 101: Do not ask gifted students to "tutor" struggling students. There is no benefit for the gifted child.

Yea, but its mostly there to try and get said gifted child to be more selfless, gain allies, you know because nerds are usually week,
And to try and help those struggling well the teacher keeps the class flowing

Well, one benefit is that you learn best when you are able to teach someone else. But yeah, when overused, it's not helpful
