If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to a clip board holder, I have used a 10 dollar dish drying rack from Walmart for 5 years. It works great! I have a big one for clip boards and a smaller one for white boards. I even use the little utensil holder for pencils and dry erase markers, so everything they need is right there together.

Michelle, you are a God-send! I have close to 275 students as a Spanish K-8 teacher and organization is essential to survival. Thank you for helping me get better organized with these great tips. I watched your other video 10

One thing I like about the Steriliate drawers is that you can take to top off, stack them and click them together so they don’t slide around. Great video! Love the advice.

Michelle, I have taught for 39 yrs before I retired and I had all of these and more in my classroom. So glad to know that I am not the only one that was so crazy about using these items. Yes, I brought several of them back home for organizing too.
Now we need to work these into our houses for organizing our panties, bathroom, laundry, and home offices.

Just a note, Michelle…. On the black teacher toolbox you showed, the “Highlighters” label is missing an “h”. I know that would bother you. 😁 I have loved your videos for years and, must admit, I wish you were still teaching. I use most of these items you showed and agree that they are essential!

Thanks first always having the answers I need. I started my year as a long-term sub, and am getting to the point I can gradually get things first what is now MY classroom. I told mom that the one thing I would wish for was to have you and Bridget come work with me for some sessions, to help me find my best work flow and organization. I teach STEM in a middle school in NC, and believe me, I inherited all kinds if good and oh not so good thibfs in closets, drawers, etc. Your jaws would drop at some of the things I have had to get rid of....luckily was able to get by with no hazmat suit, but it was close....lol!! It would also be so cool if you and B could do a podcast about "inheriting" a classroom, and the funny and not so funny things folks had to deal with as they cleaned....it could be comedy GOLD!!!!

As a room parent for several years, I've seen multiple classrooms. Your organization is the best, bar none. However, you spelled highlighters incorrectly on your Teacher's Toolbox. FYI, I am OCD about organization in my home. In my basement I have three small Sterilite bins with five drawers each. They're labeled AAA batteries, AA batteries, other batteries, carabiners, clamps, etc. Two large three-drawer Sterilite bins have painter's stuff, glues, etc. I got several large drawer bins from the dump for the garage for beach toys, my husband's toys, etc. I am in love with that brand!

    Michelle ,
Organization goes a long way regardless if you are a teacher or not .
Anyhow , is there a chance of you doing a video on the classroom management strategies that you have used while you were teaching in the future ?
Anyhow , keep on doing what you do .

Very practical and inspiring for a classroom. I just wonder if your students never complain about the colors of the materials they get (art, maths or organization itens, including the caddies on the tables). Mine sometimes nearly kill each other for colors. Once for a group of girls (in order to avoid that) I gave them all pink scissors, but one had a lighter shade. Imagine... 😲
Would you make a video about these situations?
    Thanks!

It can be a problem-but I tell my students, “You get what you get and don’t throw a fit.” Once I start the saying the students finish. I will say this before an activity to head off the melt downs.

Great question Val! With my students, I would always say "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit" 🤷‍♀️ It's all about setting the expectations and not making a big deal out of the colors. You could always make it a reward that students earn to pick their color!

@@PocketfulofPrimary thanks girls, I will try that. I am not from US, did no know this expression. Good idea also, beeing a prize (especially for good behavior), to pick the color.

Could you recommend a plastic holder that covers task cards instead of laminating them?

Hello, can you do a video on how you conduct small groups? I am going to be a new teacher next year and I have no idea how to do this because my mentor doesn't really do it.

What do you think about having to purchase these with your own money? Should these be provided or are they something so individualized that teachers should purchase them themselves?

Hi Michelle!! I use all of these things too they are amazing! I'm going to replace some things with your kinks and suggestions actually.
One question...do you have any suggestions or advice for organizing games for recess...board games like guess who and battle ship that my kids love to play?

Hi Regina! It obviously depends on the size of the flashcards but you could try photo boxes like these!

You can also find them individually at Michaels!
