I definitely think anonymity should be granted for police officers during a OIS, if they get charged then they serve their sentence, they don't need to have their and their families social lives and security ruined for a long time..

There is no reason to be a armed police officer. They get the same wages as a regular police officer, but get dragged through the mud for trying to do their job / protect the public.

Completely agree, they should have anonymity until at least any court proceedings have been concluded - not that I think these cases should get that far !
