It’s funny you said about the new ones having a bigger budget because Terrifier 2 got a $250,000 budget due to fans donating for a sequel. And when Terrrifier 2 went into theaters for a limited time, it got $15 million at the box office. For the third one, it got a $2 million budget, and so far is currently at $41 million at the box office.
It's such a great success story , i am beyond happy for the Terrifier cast and crew . Terrifier 3 even was the #1 movie in the US beating Joker , Beetlejuice and everything else
@@lamarrclarke Terrifier predates Ghostface in costume using a gun. Unmasked, the killers are often shown brandishing firearms. Even in the very first movie after the Anthony Perkins quote is said a killer shoots someone. But yeah, Scream 6 is the first time a Ghostface in costume is shown using a gun, not including chrome mask Ghostface with a flamethrower shown briefly in Scream 5 since that's a part of the in-universe fictional Stab franchise and is intentionally ridiculous.
As a horror fan I want to give you two props for not only watching horror films for your channel, but really diving into the deep end with a Terrifier watch! Definitely not for everyone, but appreciate you stepping outside your comfort zone for spooky season!
The craziest part of this for me was at the end when Shoshanna said she wanted to see Terrifier 3 😅 I can only watch this series second-hand through reviewers and plot breakdowns
The first movie had a low budget and Damien Leone didn’t expect it to be as successful as it was so there’s no story in the first one. If u continue the series the second and third has a great story
I literally said “oh no, I’m so happy they did but oh no” 😂 please watch the second one, it’s my favorite of the franchise 👏 it’s definitely a huge step up in lore & story building
I watched parts 1 and 2 back to back 4 weeks ago. Only because it was announced that my favorite bands was doing the soundtrack/ music video for part 3. So I felt like i needed to watch it.
I CANNOT WAIT to see your reactions to the next Terrifier films!! Art can keep his victims alive longer so they suffer more. So keep that in mind for the future. Also, Terrifier 2 has an extra scene in the credits so don't shut it off right away. I'm not sure if the 3rd one does or not I sadly haven't gotten to see it yet.
I think one of the lore is that once you see Art, you're dead, it doesn't matter when, the moment you look at him your life is over even before he actually kills you
Lots of people see Art and don't die. All three full length movies so far have shown people seeing him and not being killed. They had a description of him on the radio. The uniformed officers at the end of this one. Other customers leaving the costume store in the second one and the mother and son who see him through the window afterwards. He holds the door for frat bros in the third that we don't see him kill, and there's a lot of witnesses to the mall incident that aren't harmed... including a cool cameo. 🤷
@stephen-macdonald I mean I wasn't sure I was right I heard something like that in an essay video I watched a while ago so I don't remember clearly what was said 😅😅🤷
Love this content, and the facial expressions to this horror movie. I hate clowns but when they are here, they are entertaining it and making me feel a lot more comfortable.
I have a frequent case of insomnia. So when I can’t sleep I look up new bad horror movies I hadn’t seen yet. Advantage of my ManCave being on the far side of the house. I won’t disturb the wife & kid. So I saw this well before the 2nd came out. I oddly laugh at awful murders- hey, I grew up with OG Freddy, Jason & The Tall Man 🤷♂️ I just watched the third one a couple nights ago. They are actually building lore around Art & stuff so it’ll be interesting to see where it goes from here.
Terrifier films have made astonishing earnings given they starting budget. Terrifier was made with 35k and earned 416k; Terrifier 2 had a production budget of 250k and made 15.7 mil; Terrifier 3 gained a full makup effects team and was made with a budget of 2 mil and has so far (still in theaters) made approx. 42 mil

I love your reactions, and also thank you for not having your Patreon-reactions in a kind of "Watch-Along"-Format, like so many other reaction channels have 🥰 Keep going with your channel! Btw, I recommend "Anne with an E" and "Wednesday" (both on Netflix), if you haven't watched it already 😊
I just randomly put this movie on one day back in 2018 and loving the Saw franchise I was immediately intrigued. I watched Terrifier 2 & 3 in theaters and the audience reactions are always the best 😂 Damien Leone the Director did the majority of the practical effects himself
for me the creepiest part was when he shot the girl in the face and standing down at her while standing over her. the look of pure disappointment and anger in his face after he killed her was unsettling to me. like he was upset he had to pull out the gun and didn't get to watch her suffer like he wanted to.
Art never makes a sound himself. He gets shot, stabbed, hit.... no noise. And obviously....he shot himself in the head and had multiple injuries, only to still be fully alive. Clearly Art is not human.

lol my legit reaction to seeing the thumbnail for this video was “HOLY SHIT YA’LL WATCHED TERRIFIER?!?!?!” 😭 I couldn’t believe you guys watched this! Fun reaction though, glad you guys did. The second one is awesome, while it is really intense, it’s also just really dope because the main character gears up and fights the clown! You might get a kick out of it 👏
After everything I'd heard about this franchise i had to watch a behind the scenes documentary about the special effects and makeup before I watched the movies. I'm really glad i did that because it gave me a lot more appreciation for what they were able to accomplish on such a small budget. The director has stated that he regrets not developing the protagonists more.
So when (if) you watch 2, make sure you stick through the credits because there is a mod credits scene. There is a plot starting in two that carries through to three. Obviously Art carries over to two but Vicky does come up as well, otherwise not much beyond a casual mention of this massacre is mentioned in the second. The quality gets better to match the level of special effects which were so good because Damien Leone was a special effects artist. As one myself, we learn to use anything we can to make the effects with as little of a budget as possible.
