I got the sylvain & dimitri b support right after my b support with dimitri..I was so confused i literally thought he was talking about byleth cuz he just asked her to dinner.
And the goddess tower event, did he just pull a sylvain pick up line on byleth? because i did not expect that from him at all!!
DISCLAIMER: i should have known better like 99% of you dont read the description XD sooooo for the people who're confused:
- no, Dimitri did not give Byleth the dagger (if you've played thru blue lions you know who he gave it to)
- the funny coincidence here is after my B support with Dimitri, I saw Sylvain & Dimitri c support which was...weird because he just asked us to dinner. (And even weirder when you're running around looking for him during exploration since this 'girl' has been chasing him around.
- the mystery girl is probably that random npc student with the short hair
- The most canon thing you can get here probably is that Dimitri got the "let's wish to be Together Forever" pick up line from none other than sylvain (didn't work tho...so guys dont try that sappy pick up line irl)
edit: also id like to add, someone in the comments, noted that Byleth's dagger may have been given to her/him as a present from Jeralt with the same sentiment, for byleth to cut a path that's their own.
This makes sense because Jeralt served the kingdom before the knights of seiros.
but y'all believe what you want. The choices you make in the game are what makes things canon XD

from what i understood, he was known as a Legendary knight even as a soldier in faerghus but the title "Blade breaker" he got that after becoming a knight of seiros.
also, aside from wiki, i think someone also mentioned it in the game. Maybe Alois, Tomas or another random npc
@@ShinoaKoucho damn. I've talked to like all the NPC's that I possibly could have and gotten 60-70% of all the supports in the game from both the azure moon and verdant wind routes and I didn't know that. Maybe it's in CF or SS.
Also just the "it's a lovely night tonight" came from Sylvain too which Dmitri uses for his S support, which I find really funny

I love the idea that this entire thing happened, right as soon as Sylvain talks about the dagger Byleth knocks on the door. Sylvain walks out, sees the dagger. Byleth asks for Dimitri.
Sylvain swiftly shuts the door after telling her to wait a moment. He does not realize that the dagger was always there and starts panicking at and for Dimitri. When he opens the door again, Byleth has one of Dimitri’s lost items. Both boys faint instantly from relief/stress.

now this is something i can see happening!! that wouldve been such a funny misunderstanding XD
it was already funny enough that Dimitri's hiding from a girl but if its professor, it'd make even more sense he's hiding...since she's arguably strong and fearsome XD

It would've been especially beautiful considering that Sylvain after Dimitri becomes "sane again" says "can we really forgive him?" So that line combined with no A rank makes me assume Sylvain never truly forgives Dimitri or reconciles with him :(

I swear I had every intention of romancing Mercedes in my Blue Lions playthrough, but Dimitri was such a good character that I may have forgotten about that halfway through.
same problem. i was also mbyleth 1st time BL run, but i just felt so much than bro with how he approaches Byleth so like mid game, i restarted to switch genders to s support him.......buuuut when i continued my mbyleth run, I went for mercie (i always do XD)

It made sense to me when Dimitri explained Faerghus folklore around daggers. Then when you consider Byleth's backstory, Jeralt probably gave it to her as a gift from birth. Something to say "You will be who YOU want to be, no one else"

@@ShinoaKoucho There are some pretty good fanfictions playing with the fact that Jeralt was originally from the kingdom. my favourite was one where he took advantage of his Kingdom heritage and reclaimed his ancestral home in order to protect Byleth from the church instead of becoming mercenaries. It also did a cool lore thing and made Byleth and Jeralt descendants of one of the people who shows up as an ally/friend in the legends about Dimitri's ancestor Loog. I believe it was called " The Eisner Returns" or something if you're interested.

yeah..they're just there XD Dimitri, Hila (cant remember who else) have spare swords on their uniforms and i remember looking for it in the convoy when i first played....and nothing haha
@@ShinoaKoucho Just about all the students carry a sword pre timeskip, They likely get it as part of the uniform since they all look alike.
And of course some still have weapons as part of the design post timeskip as well.

Well, Azure Moon was originally intended to be the canon route (supposedly), so that would explain why this works so well.

@@ShinoaKoucho I don't know how it was, but as I heard before the game was delayed, it was planned that there was gonna be only one canon route instead of all of them being technically canon, and azure moon was the one planned to be it , but I think it was just a rumor, because I think that the director of the game confirmed that they wanted to have a "revelations" route, but they wanted the player to choose which route they think was the best outcome. If it's a rumor it would make sense since Azure Moon is the most "complete" route to be honest.

@@RaidikV hello. I just came back here to tell you that you were most likely right about the first intentions with azure moon. Silver Snow still became the first route but I suppose they were gonna make Azure moon the 'almost golden route' where everyone (except edel) cooperates. Rhea lives. Claude lives (no matter your choice). Dimitri lives.
The cutscenes camera angles seem consistent to Byleth being on the Blue Lions's side. I was gonna make a random headcanon but someone pointed this out.

Id imagine that in battle, a small dagger wouldn't do much to a fully armored foe. Or even a partially armored foe, especially if they know you have it. Yeah you can say the beginning cut scene, but she had to run up on his ass and get him in a vulnerable position first. The dagger is just for it some guy tries to sneak up and assassinate them. Or to prevent them from doing so, considering that they have a weapon on hand.

Brawlers are trained to be able to punch through stuff. I'd imagine that it would be quite uncomfortable to fight in a dented piece of armor. I think it would be the force of the slashes and punches that would cause the damage, not the slashing itself.
