The European Version of these cars were a whole lot faster than the western export models. I can remember back in 1985 watching one of these cars on the German Autobahn ran down a Porsche.
Dad and I got an 86 I year back. We found it in Ohio and it managed to drive all the way to Toronto. Such a fun little car to drive.

Till '88 I believe they got power steering standard , but in '85 they did but it was an option since it was too expensive, not many had them
