Where did you ever find your square green sunglasses? At first I thought they were awful (sorry) but after about 15 minutes they grew on me. I really do like them. Only you could wear them so well George. Thanks for sharing this sale with us. Happy you found some small items. That wall paper I'd fantastic to the right buyer. Definitely the bargain of the day. 😃
George, with all the traveling you two do have you ever considered getting a small RV that can pull a covered trailer? The RV parks are often really comfortable ….and I would be thrilled if I ran into you at one of them!
You know I am not especially a Fenton fan (sorry Heidi) unless it glows. I am much more of a Louisa Weller kinda girl. I would turn my nose up at an epergne over a Louisa jardiniere and pedestal any time. Fussy kind of things just don't fit into my world. I am an Interior Architect and Designer who is really into conversation pieces and oddities. I did love that Savonrola chair though. I have one - upholstered in real 60s harvest gold and avocado striped velvet. Thought I would change it when I bought the chair - then I kinda fell in love with it.
Was that an R Crumb painting sitting on the ground? Xeno got a good pic of it - his style for sure. Look at it if you get back there and it's still there. It could be a real sleeper. The nose on the guy just screams Crumb to me.
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive From what I can tell, he did do some oils in his early career. He is still very much alive in the South of France and I assume he could be contacted. If that was cheap, I might be tempted to pick it up and then research it. He certainly wasn't the only artist working in that style at that time. A lot of those poster artists were classically trained artists. If it is still there I would absolutely take another look at it. It looked old - dirty as hell. And the image is just jogging something in my memory. I have seen that image before - in a poster, underground comics - somewhere. It would be amazing to come up with a work of the 60s that was original. I collect posters. have about 2 dozen - mostly Avalon Ballroom - original editions. I rewound and looked at that for a long time.

I had a similar wallpaper in my bathroom. What was so cool about the metallics back then was the layering of pattern and design that made the metallic very reflective and gave the paper a lot of depth. I loved that paper but it kind of fell apart. That is what happens when 6 people are using one bathroom. It stays damp all the time.
How do you find out about these outdoor flea markets? I live about 30 minutes from Louisville and didn't know about most of these outdoor markets you've been to. Is there a website or some place that lists them?
