The light and dark turquoise is amazing, but my favorite aspect is the white lines that are not "perfect" leaf shape. They give the painting spontaneity and artistry. I am always a fan of the white splashes, spatters and drips that occur during the creative process. They make each painting sing!
I like this one much more than the one on the wall by which you measure the other paintings. There is more contrast and overlapping, so it looks much more natural to me. 🧡💛💚💙
Rinske, I love this series of paintings. You are inspiring me. They bring to my mind the work of Imogen Cunningham- a photographer from about 100 years ago. I think you would lover her work.

I guess I need a class. I tried on a 12x12 canvas. I put 2 coats of metallic white. Let it dry then used red green and brown with some white. AWFULL. I brushed over the canvas.. It's now a grey canvas with a hint of red and green. I KNEW I couldn't do it.
