Asus motherboards continue to have the problem of frying the 7000 series CPUs? I'm really in doubt because I want to turn on the EXPO to use all the power that the RAM I bought has
I have not run into that issue, but my Asus x670F gaming motherboard did get fried. I sent it out for repair warranty and it's on it's way back. I'm not sure what caused it to go back. Asus repair didn't list the issue, they just said the problem was fixed.
@@ghtechreview Apparently the brand is suffering from the problem of products with questionable quality and poor customer service, I think it would be better for me to research more and probably go for a different brand's motherboards, just to reduce the possibility of future problems. I'm really happy that you got your motherboard fixed under warranty.
@@victorsaurus that issue has actually been fixed with BIOS updates. The existing problem with ASUS is questionable RMA practices. Worth watching the Gamers Nexus video from Computex where Steve sits down with Asus and confronts them about it
I just completed a build but I have a question. At 5:49 I cannot attach this 20 pin cable because the connector on the motherboard i am using is horizontal and not vertical like yours and there is no room with the case I am using. So the connector points towards the side of the case so one cannot connect the cable. I did not realize this until afterwards when assembling. Any suggestions on how to get this cable plugged in ? Currently have this disconnected at the moment.
What case and motherboard are you using? You might be able to get it connected with a 90 degree motherboard pin connector like this one amzn.to/49xMw5d
@@ghtechreview I checked that out but I'm not sure it will work. I ordered the 20 pin M-F extension cable as I think it will give me more flexibility for what I need. I will let you know if it works out. Appreciate the quick reply. 👍
I'm pretty sure putting that many M.2 NVMes into a Strix board will put the GPU in x8 mode. I was very careful to only use slots 1 and 2 and put the rest of the storage on SATA SSDs
Yes that's correct. For this certain mother using the M.2 slot 3 will put the 1st PCI lane in x8. I recently got a bday where I store all my videos so I only have 3 m.2 in the motherboard instead of using all 4 slots and it's on x16.
I have the same setup it runs smooth
Awesome, this has been running smooth 👌
Does the PC run stably with 4 ram slots?
Yes, it is running stable with 4 ram slots.

Yes, it would be great to have a step-by-step guide. Your video is awesome! I watched it twice at least. :)
Thank you for the feedback I will definitely be making a step-by-step one.
