I had been using Cakewalk on and off for about 3-6 months, then discovered the free MPC Beats, which I used for about 18 months before I was able to take advantage of the 20% discount of 'suite' just before it went back to full price earlier this year just after this video was put up! Haven't looked back synth. I still run Ableton LIVE Lite on another machine.

Intalled live as I thought it could work well, then found out that most plug ins/ software are not authorized. Well it sucks and make no sense to me :/
Why would you want downgrade and get the money back? You can get 90 days trail of suite which more than enough to evaluate. If then you decide to buy and regret that's on you. This is very small amount of money compared to anything else in life like buying a car and losing at least 30% of its value after 1 year. with suite you only gain, also you can sell your license so whats up with that mindset?
I guess those two features and a couple synths are worth the extra 500-700$ You got me. I do like Ableton i just like razing you stans:) As you were ableton fans.
Reaper is great, but Ableton is a little more user friendly. Not to mention the Sound packs it comes with. I use Pro tools, Ableton and Reaper and Ableton is usually my go to for any project.
Ok, nice features and all but is Ableton the right DAW for live performances for a keyboardist to access all the sounds easily? I'm thinking in terms of strictly tone presets for certain songs like organ or Rhodes or a synth? I ask because our keyboardist has this Ableton 11 suite and my impression is that Ableton patches are not as easily accessible as a rack unit , like a Roland Integra.
Hey! I think it’s great for live and hosting keyboard sounds but it’s not for everyone . I know a lot of keyboard players that use MainStage for their keyboard sounds and Ableton Live to run tracks. I guess get the free trail of live and see how it works for you.

If I have standard and I want to upgrade, do I have to pay the difference, so 300, do I have to pay 600 to get suite, or is it something between those 2 prices ?

Intro and standard also lack the ability to Generate and receive Pitch, control, clock and trigger CV (Whatever that means) 0:53
This is for using Ableton's CV Tools to covert audio in to CV which stands for Control Voltage. This is used to control Modular Synths.

@@pushpatterns well I was able to fix it through preferences and plug in search, what I did was importing the folder, was not right 😅

Like you said if you buy standard you can always upgrade. But if you buy Suite, you can't downgrade and get the money back!

@@ryanboyce3365 man I’m 1 day into my Live trial, meanwhile 596 hours into reaper… Ain’t no way you’re sweating yourself up over some DAWS 🤡

Just picked up live 11 suite full version with 12 upgrade £330.00. Not bad.
