I was excited for you, I thought you were building a droid Garrett. I'm glad Andrew got one. I built a droid in Galaxy's Edge west. I was the best. I built a lightsaber, too. I was overwhelming in the greatest sense... There were tears.

Thank you for filming the extra droid head section. I have watched dozens of recent droid depot videos to see if they are still selling the extra parts, but nobody else had it.
This was really fun to watch. I've never really seen how the Build a Droid thing worked. Of course, now I want to do it, too! 😂 So interesting and fun.
That is on my bucket list of things that I would like to do while I'm at Hollywood Studios, and I would get a R2 Unit, and I would get the whole package, it would have a white body, blue dome head, blue legs, red and blue sides and front too, and its name would be......(Drum Rolls) .... George, and it would have jetpack accessory and a resistance personality chip, and it would be in the backpack, that way I can carry it around like a newborn baby.

I know it was so hard to choose!
I am choosing R2, because BB8’s got more cons than pros:
-BB8’s sound is lower.
-BB8 has no customization
-BB8’s head and body is poorly designed, meaning the wheel can break randomly
-BB8 can be carried, which when it wants to move around, it will shake in your backpack. Due to a bug, the head will fly off when its trying to get out.

Don’t forget the C units like chopper! They are pretty cool too.
This makes me miss Hollywood. We just got back from our two week trip on Sunday. We already miss the parks.
Disneyland opened though and we are trying to get some reservations. Might have to build a droid here that was super fun looking

If you thought that was cool you really need to build a lightsaber at Savis. I finally did it in March and it was so fun! The ceremony is so neat and the cast members are amazing.

You should DEFINITELY build your own droid.
Been waiting for this since you talked about it. I’ve seen quite a few of the Build A Lightsaber Lab/Workshop, but this is the first one I’ve seen of the Build A Droid one & WOW!!! What a great set up this is & they’re actually a pretty decent size. I know when I saw the price of it, I thought it was way too much, but after seeing the size of it & everything....I actually think it would cost more in a store.
Now...If that was me? Gotta go w/R2. I’m an Original Star Wars Fan & remember seeing A New Hope in the Theatres when I was a little girl, so my love for R2 is very long & constant. 😁😁. I do like BB8, don’t get me wrong, but... He’s not R2. 😊
Thanks for bringing us along w/you & your Friend & finally giving us a look at the Build A Droid workshop. I still think if I was going down & had the money, I’d go make myself a Lightsaber. Simply because I have loved Swords & any kind of Sword Fighting of any kind. Plus, I was the one who taught my Nephews & Niece how to “Sword”/Wrapping Paper Roll Fight & then proceeded to kick their butts ever after whenever we played Jedi Knights/Star Wars, so...Yeah. I’d need to go & get me my Lightsaber. 😁

Love seeing the droid build...was it heavy to carry around? Was it ok to go on rides with it?
My husband is making a light saber and I’m building a droid...hope we can still get on rides😄

The droid was pretty light, especially with the backpack! We also took it on rides and just put it wherever a backpack would go, typically by our feet.
