I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the login password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Yehuda Damari Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I would really like for all of the under 35s to listen to these great soca classics and dare tell me that you will listen to much of the crap they sing now for soca. Thanks Edward for posting these classics so that the younger generation can experience what is real lyrical, melodic, rhythmic and tantalizingly sweet soca.
I am 25 and I love this song! If I become a DJ, this will certainly be a hit at any party at which I play. What other artists are doing this kind of calypso today?
"How some men love they woman..." Winston Soso... Great calypso.. love the classics.. their lyrics told a story; sometimes filled with innuendos, which added a touch of humor.. Alas, many of today's calypsoes are redundant.. their tempo a bit "too" fast.. Met Soso years ago..
I casually listen to Caribbean music and have a decent awareness of the genre that goes from Mighty Sparrow to the present day. I find that calypso has almost collapsed completely and has been replaced by soca. As much as I love soca, I, too, lament the loss of the horns that, when they kick in, just blow the song away. This song is an understated wedding hit that is appropriate even in the United States where very few people know of soca or calypso and no one knows of Soso. This is a hidden gem.
My goodness, yes, a wicked bass line, yes a classic, and rhythm interwoven with a call and response dialogue of horns and, of course. that cunningly sweet soca coded lyrics. "Don't have to search no more".... enjoying real soca in Lagos, Nigeria. There is only on Winston SOSO.
you guys are funny as hell, and Gary shultz am sure you not the first lol, my principal was a Jamaican woman who was married to a Vincy , so there, but nice joke furthermore i think we need to preserve these music because they dont come like this anymore , bare idiots a sing nowadays #hail the roll Royce of soca music.
Jamaican men debating over Vincy women, who would have thought? Well, I'm a Vincy and my Jamaican child's father is a blasted idiot. But, if there are more out there like you two, send them my way. You two gave me hope.
always love the music from mr soso, i am young but have always enjoyed to the fullest. He will forever be one of the best singers and one who always had the best to sing about women
