Of course, reviewers are objective, lets players are fanboys and hype machines that provide free promotion.
And yet, wrong, IGN has criticized Pokemon Sapphire for having too much water, they compared Lords of the Fallen to Dark Souls and gave the game a lower mark because the *reviewer* liked Dark Souls. In all actuality lets players will be the only ones to give a game a fair chance instead of just giving the new Call of Duty 9/10 for "breathing life into a time worn formula"

Is it just me, or has AH/Let's Play's content been absolutely fucking awesome for the past few months? It started with those Just Cause 3 Bavarium Sea Heist videos and is still going on. Probably the best content they've put out since 2013.

Everyday when I go to play skyrim I stay on the menu screen for about 10-15 minutes singing the theme. because I am a true skyrim fan.

They're speaking the language of the Dovah (Dragon)
The voice actors absolutely are not paid again for the rerelease. They are paid per session. They get no commission or bonus based on the success of the game. In fact a bunch of them including Jennifer Hale and Nolan North are currently on strike specifically because of this. Apparently EA/Activision/Ubisoft/Zenimax and co don't think their input to a game is significant enough for them to be paid like actors.
One of the other things in the strike action is working conditions. A bunch of them are specifically complaining about the way Bethesda makes them work. They have to read their lines from a page with only their lines on it, they don't know who the other character is, or what they just said that they are replying to, they aren't even told what game they are going to be in or which character they are. The guy who did the voice of Kellogg didn't find out he was working on Fallout 4 or that he was a main character until after he'd finished recording all his lines. And people wonder why Bethesda games have such terrible voice work.

and yet despite these "terrible" conditions Bethesda has, they've had return voices for like 20 years, and people still get paid for doing it. Its almost like its exaggerated.
If that was completely true then Bethesda's VAs wouldn't keep returning to work with them but they do.
I remember my first time playing Skyrim. When I stepped out of that cave with Hadvar, a rabbit was chasing a fox... right then and there I knew this game was going to be special.

Much like how even though Geoff is always seen fucking around, he's head of gaming at Rooster Teeth so he's basically the boss of Achievement Hunter, Funhaus, and other gaming related divisions of RT. Definitely a lot of work.

when I played Skyrim I was almost entirely an archer. minimal magic, as in healing only, I carried an axe and a shield if shit got rough, but I was basically carrying mostly arrows for my bow and just perpetually upgrading it and the arrows. in my game's world there was a lizard man just running around shooting arrows like a lunatic.

GrindingGamer I may be the one person who chooses to at least attempt to discipline in everything at once, some more than others. My Nord naturally uses a sword and shield for straight fighting, and is strongest in those talents. He prefers a dagger in stealth, and is willing to amplify his stealth with illusion magic. When he HAS to engage at a range, he pulls out his bow. Magic is only an option if mortally wounded or when fighting many enemies at once.

Kevin Gluys In the lore, there was a group of crazy fanatics that had a major hard on for the dragons. The dragons gave the most devout magic powers and special timeless masks (Dragon Priests) and there was a huge war against these assholes and their armies. The dragon followers and priests were cursed to walk their tombs forever as Draugr, denied access to Sovngard and death. The Nords take this threat very seriously, even after all that time, and is often mentioned in books or dialogue. These are the individuals they are trying to keep out, not the dragons themselves.

Well, at the time of that being said in-game, they didn't know dragons were coming back. For all they knew, dragons were still extinct. And they would've been right had Alduin not been sent forward in time.

I went to sleep at 2:AM last night, cause i was studying for a test. This morning at 8:30, I was woken up by my dorm officers banging on the door. Turns out there is construction going on near our dorm, although it wouldn't affect us in any way, they made us pack up our stuff and stay out of the dorm until 1PM. And then at 1 PM I had my test, a test so hard, myself and the entire class agreed we were all going to fail (literally). Then I had 2 more classes today, so I couldn't take a nap. With each passing hour, I could feel my strength and life force slipping away. When my teachers were talking, my brain would become numb and I couldn't comprehend what they were saying. Food and drink had no taste, and just sat in my stomach after I swallowed it.
It's 8PM now, I just got back after my last class, feeling like I am about to die, that this was the worst day of my life...
But then I see that AH had uploaded a video about Skyrim Remastered. I thought to myself: "Skyrim? Oh yea, it's one of my favorite games of all time." I play the video, and I see the intro where the AH guys sing and dance to Skyrim's theme song. A giant smile appeared on my face, and before I knew it, I was dancing and singing with them to the tune of one of the best games in history. I felt like I had been resurrected from death.

Tip for upgrading magic. If you read the black books, one will have a perk that makes spells cost no magicka for 30seconds. If you use a constant spell like telekinesis or lightning storm nonstop, it will still work after 30 sec, and keep working until you stop, leveling you up indefinitely
That intro was to be one of Achievement Hunter's favorite and funniest moments.
I always start new characters to be different to my normal, but i get through two missions or so with a two handed weapon beserker character and just get bored. It's really hard to play different.
Man I should really buy the remast - wait, I got the Legendary edition on PC for $9 and can make my own remastered with Thomas the Tank Engine and hookers.

Griffin Yeah I tried it out. Seems like it's just a port of the console version. Only does 30 FPS. But it does look a bit better than what I can do with the mods my PC can handle. And it's more stable. I just have to wait for modders to build Bethesda's library.
i think the listing for legendary edition doesnt exist anymore since you get this for free with it. there is just basic skyrim and seperate dlcs, which work out way more expensive that this anyway. unfortunate for me as a new pc owner.

Jeremy that table you don't use at dragonsreach is incredibly useful. You can enchant your weapons and armor. You want a ice sword? Fire arrows? Armor that boosts your health or magic? That table is wonderful.

I was blown away, and at the time I was so enthralled and in a panic that when hadvar and Ralof split up and you can choose to side with either I went with Hadvar because I thought he was the only one to follow. Never noticed the quest prompt. It took me months u till I inevitably started a new character and actually found out I could follow Ralof. I was yet again blown away by the choice and then underwhelmed by the realization that very little was changed.

Depends what you want to get it on. If PC then probably not 'cause mods have probably made the game look 10x better than the remaster already.

i'm not getting it(yet) due to not having the money but it's so fucking worth it on consoles now that we have mod access
it's a long game but remember that the main quest is like 5 hours long and everything else if pretty open-ended so you can just do whatever the hell you feel like doing
I'm currently playing it again, but I probably will skip a lot of the side stuff because it's actually pretty boring, especially if you've already played it.

Argonian's cant get sickness so generic vampires have little to no chance of infecting you. But you can become one via the dawnguard questline.
So he just meant they can't be infected and chose his words badly.
Argonians can totally become infected. It's just much harder since they start with 50% resistance to disease so it takes some work for an Argonian to contract a disease.

How long do we have to fucking wait for a new elder scrolls game, it's been 5 years since skyrim got released, do we have to wait until 2021 or a new console something?
Skyrim was 6 years after Oblivion, and if Bethesda pulls another Fallout 4-esque announcement, then Fall 2017 is right on par.

I hope its like the FO4 "Its coming out in a couple months, too!" announcement.
Regardless of how good or otherwise Fo4 is, it could have been received a LOT worse if wed gotten a year or more of hype build up.

It's funny most people rather remember mechanics from Oblivion than skyrim. I too thought jumping and drawing bows would deplete stamina.
