    I carry my Gen 5 g19 MOS with holosun 507c v2, zev pro trigger, suppressor height blackout sights, olight pl mini 2 light, and vedder light tuck holster appendix carry. I have carried this for about 1 1/2 years as my every day. About 5 months ago I got the Sig P320 RXP x-carry with Romeo pro1, tlr7a. My Glock is my 90% carry and my Sig I am getting more comfortable to carry. These are my two year round carry guns.

      @@cd4playa1245 I have had no issue’s at all. I can’t compare to many others. I have the Sig Romeo pro1 but I really like the holosun better. I use the circle with the dot and it is great for fast accurate shots. Battery life has been great, it has the side tray so easy to change and doesn’t mess with zero. I don’t through my guns around dive or roll on the ground or drop them. So for durability for normal use it’s great. I am actually thinking about removing the Romeo and putting the holosun on.

    I’ve in CA. Our CCW lists the pistols we can carry. Plus we have that stupid roster so you really only get a shield 1.0 or Gen 3 g26. For a good off-roster carry gun you’ll spend around $1500. So a carry gun in CA needs to be carefully thought out.

    Been carrying a 356x for over a year now. I want a larger and slightly longer platform because i have found for appendix carry that short barreled handguns are not very comfortable over all. Oddly enough larger guns seem to be more comfortable. I have not been a big Glock fan but I am getting a g19 to run as my primary for awhile because they are so common. Also because I am usually the odd man out in a group being one of the few who doesn’t at least own a Glock. I’ll be mounting my x300 for extra length and capability. I may also explore the P365xMacro later on

I like them as a secondary option, but aside from an admittedly better trigger and grip angle, I still give Glock the edge for ease of breakdown, maintenance, and parts available. Plus the p10c is almost Glock 17 size, and each one seems to have its own trigger break, some with major creep, some absolutely crisp. Glocks are a little more consistent. The grip angle of the Glock is millimeters higher than most guns but I’m not doing long range head shots with a gun, at that point I’m out of any real danger..I’m shooting no more than 5 to 20 feet so that grip angle is really a bias gripe.

    • @FitnFire
      @FitnFire  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      While I understand what you’re saying, I would disagree with you. I believe you should be training to hit targets 20-25 yards away from a cold start. This extended distance gives you feedback to you aight alignment, trigger squeeze and breathing control. In addition, most people who have stopped mass shootings were armed with pistols against assailants who have rifles. A great example is Elisjsha Dicken ventilating a shooter with 10 rounds from 40 yards in 15 seconds. He scored 8 or 10 rounds under stress…food for thought.

      @@FitnFire I heard ya but I was speaking from personal self defense situation, Taking out arm shooters is something I'm not going to get involve with unless they target me. Their is a lot to think about when you decide to get involve. The court will try and make you the aggressor or the perp family might go after you in civil court. I'm a ccl holder and that one of the main topics they continue to discuss. That one little grey area can cost you dearly.

      @@muteehall there are legal ramifications for sure! I would suggest looking into taking MAG40 from Musad Ayoob. It is an awesome course that teaches about the legal obligations and limitations of carrying a firearm. What are your thoughts on the zev oz9c or shadow systems mr920? They have everything I’d want on a Glock 19. Which I had made up my mind about being my first purchase (g19) since I am a new shooter but now I’m having second thoughts.

    We live in a an awesome time where there are a few great options/alternatives! 20 years ago saying Glock is the best, most durable,l and reliable would have been a very accurate statement. Today Glock retains the same popularity but I’m not sure if it’s superior in performance to others like S&W, H&K, FN, and Whalter. All very proven as well, reliable and durable! Kind of like Ford, retains its popularity and is best selling but I can’t really agree it’s better than its competitors.

      Well for the money, it’s hard to beat. S&W has major quality issue, H&K is expensive, FNH is expensive and has periodic issues in their lower cost options, etc. IMHO, the best pistols are older design ones. 1911 70 series, USPs, Glock 19s, FS 92s… you get the idea. They may be slightly larger, or not as cool looking, but they run well

Winter carry now is my gen 5 19 with surefire x300ultra at appendix and for the summer is my sig p365 also appendix carry. the zeroing methodis a real world practical method of zeroing your weapon. that in essence is zeroing the gun toy you and not a "true zero". however ther are arguments for both sides. some say that you want the gun to be zeroed and true to the sights. however, i can give (and im sure everyone reading can give examples) stories of individual A shot a .5 MOA, every time they shoot the gun .... then give you the exact gun and exact ammo, and you shoot your best at 2MOA every time, and typically worse. thats because we all shoot a bitt differently. you might think im full of shit, but ive seen it several times in my 35 year SHOOTING life. so i personally think you need to zero the gun to yourself. just my thoughts. and im sure this time next month, i will have a different opinion. to each their own, in other words. ... however i do love it when you pick up a weapon and the projectile goes exactly where the sights show that it will hit. that is a very satisfying moment.
