I guess the word is out on the 880V12 having Fresh Foam X and Fuelcell sandwich! I've beeb reading reviews since I just bought 2 pairs of them. Since I have rectangular feet (size 11 4e) my choice for shoes is limited. The 880s are definitely my favourite of all the wide fit shoes I have had over the years.
I feel your pain! I'm a 10 4E and it tempting to buy any shoe that isn't black or gray, even if I'm not in love with it! But I'm hoping the Cumulus 24 turns out well because that's the next shoe I'm planning to purchase. I'd be curious to know what shoes have worked for you since we're in the same boat.
@@mdsmith1019 I ran the Asics Nimbus 18/19/20 for a couple of years. Although they were super comfortable I felt like they were the source of many of the injuries I was getting. I started running 7 years ago in NB 680s, then 880s, then 1080s (which I did not care for at all). I switched to the Asics for a couple of years. Went back to NB trying out the 860s which were okay but now I'm back to the 880s. As far as trail shoes go, Salomon speedcross, xa pro 3d, hoka speedgoat 4, and now the Saucony Perigrene 12s. Xa Pros fit well but they are heavy. I really only were them on technical trails. The speedgoat 4 is a decent shoe but they aren't wide enough so the sides are starting to split at the toe box. So far, the Sauconys seem almost perfect. A whole lot of trial and error (which unfortunately can get expensive) and I agree, it's extremely difficult to pass on something that isn't black or gray!
I've 750km in my 880 V11s. They're the old reliables. I walked into the shop and said I wanted a boring, reliable everyday trainer I could run 1000km into. They're delivering. That outsole rubber is ideal for wet weather running, which is our standard. We've gotta have some shoes Seth! Can't take all our rubber away 😉 You're bang on about the upper though. It scrunches something awful.
Many times our perception of our world is our reality. I try to learn to accept what I have been given to work with in life. More importantly, I find a way to make what I have been given work for me and my family. Not only does this help make my world better, but also improves my perception of things. I also feel like this approach is contagious and has a positive impact on others. This positive impact on others is probably what actually makes the world, and other people's perception of it, better.

Some more information about sizing would be great, is the toe box narrow or wide, is the length true to size? Especially for us online shoppers, it might help reduce returns due to wrong sizing… Really appreciate your reviews!! 🙏
QD: Once a month, I donate money (not to much I'm still a student) to childred who have serious illnesess and need medical operations outside my country which cost a lot of money . Life isn't always fair, but for some people it's hell from the day they are born 😢. If my donation can help one childred I will be more then happy.
QD: I’m always have a positive mindset and I’m always telling people how good they are. I’m always smiling at people and been nice. Plus I don’t eat animals so I’m not involved in animal cruelty,I’m guessing that’s why I’m always positive and nice. I don’t feel Guilt
NB 880 lineup by far the most well built shoe I ever tested! Unfortunately V9 is the last iteration I tried bc I just want to try all the daily trainer in the market, it's on the heavy side but men I can say its smooth and flexible. They grow on me bc I prefer nimble than softness.
@@JeremyBenfield yes I always feel unstable wearing max cushion shoes. I bet I could roll my ankles pretty bad so I stay away from them but I have the 880V11 and they work for me so far

at work in the bakery I like to chat with my elderly customers and give them some extra attention. Some live by themselves and visiting with them or getting them hot coffee hopefully makes going to the bakery an outing.

I just got the 880v12 to replace my 1080's. I'd imagine it would be somewhat similar. The 1080's have more cushion but not enough to justify the additional money 🤷🏼♂️
Hey Seth, I had the 880’s and they broke down pretty quick. Basically, over time from my toe hitting the upper when I ran, it eventually made a hole I could stick my finger through. I was pretty disappointed in the shoe plus the upper was coming undone from the foam. I like the ride, but New Balance don’t last that long

V11 has lower amount of fresh foam and just fresh foam. . V12 has freshfoam& Fuelcell. If you like more road feel ,go V11, for a more cushioned ride V12

880 v12 VS Pegasus 39 :) Same price range. Both trainer shoes or expensive lifestyle shoes. Good thing NB offers 4 colour ways fro this shoe. Bu priced only $20 from the 1080 v12 ummmm....makes it a tougher call. NB priced them too close. Don't know if the 1080 has $20 more "better" :) Maybe you should compare this shoe to the 1080 v12 first....and answer the questin "Why would any one pay $20 (CDN) more for the 1080 v12?"...

not all true...Dicks sporting goods, some wholesale shoe stores like famous footweat, off broadway shoes, marshalls will have them sometimes. New Balance stores are nationwide at the outlet malls
I know it is not huge, but I always hold the door open for people. Not just women, I do it for anybody. I just hope it makes their day a little bit better.

I've have run 1600+ km on my 880v11 since my parents won't buy me a new one. But now they're getting me the 880v12

I’ve seen several reports that NB claims that the forefoot foam is actually FUELCELL. Funny that they don’t advertise that on their site.

Yes you have to run qualifier marathons a year or two before and apply to run Boston. @@CriticalThinker02
