One of my most favorite events in PBA. Loved the final match. The final match was one of my favorite. Belmonte bowled very well in final match 😉👍 I love Rhino but Belmo had a great victory right here
Awesome 300 by Rash!! With the exception of that messenger shot, all shots were dead carries!! I had a shot at my first 300 a couple weeks ago..had first 10 in a row and went for 11 but left a flat 10 pin...hit the pocket but I kind of spun the ball a little which delayed my hook. Couldn't even feel my feet when I did that shot lol Can't wait to get back to that point again...hopefully soon :)
people will always say someone isn't the best even if they are the best right now if the player isn't who they route for. but it doesn't matter belmo is by far the best on tour right now and when he is done he will be one of the best ever
something i noticed is Rash also put his towel on ball rack (on top of balls even) and yet Pete Weber complained about Belmo doing that in USBC Masters (and Belmo didn't even put on top of Weber's ball then.. just on the ball rack and it touched Weber's ball).. seems like Weber was just a sore loser and just using that as an excuse
Sean Rash wipes his shoes with the ball, I wouldn't want that on the ball return, I don't mind a towel just used for wiping off the ball, like you said, same oil thats on the lane, but not wiping your shoes lol
sorry to be offtopic but does someone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
Ok, first of all, rash is technically the 3rd to roll 2 300s on television. Ryan shafer did it in 2008 and then in the 2011 summer shootout. Then, who could forget WES MALOTT throwing 2 300s in 3 weeks at the 2009 king of bowling! Please PBA get your facts right
spoilers!! belmo has just proved that he not only has one of the best mechanical games, but the best mental game on tour. he is in the running for best ever, and about 10 or 15 years down the road, two handers are guna be big :3
***** Two-handed bowling has revolutionized the sport of bowling. How far will Belmo go? I've been watching him ever since I first observed him bowling with two hands. Far and away my favorite bowler. I see he has qualified 3rd for next Sunday! Next Sunday should be sensational with the lineup.
Patrick Melody The equipment is what has changed the game. The proof? When Norm Duke does his trick shot with the towel and gets a strike.Or all the 900 series that have been shot now.CRAZY!
Given the history between the two, Rash was surprisingly complimentary of Belmo's bowling in the interview at 1:21:18. I figured he would address his own bowling but totally ignore what Belmo did. Generally don't like Rash's behavior but will give him credit for how he handled this interview.
Well if Belmo wasn't being a complete dick to Rash in the past he would have more respect for Belmo. Plus Belmo putting his towel on Webers ball? he shouldn't do that, he has his own balls to put his towel on.
James McAllister is there a Rule in the PBA rulebook against that? no! it's perfectly fine. I think Weber was very paranoid because Belmo is really that good
James McAllister Weber wanted Belmo's towel off the ball return in general, Belmo was throwing it between the bowling balls, watch 11:25, Scott Norton throws his towel on the ball return and you don't see Sean complaining
Sean Rash: 237 Scott Norton: 215 Sean Rash: 300 Ryan Ciminelli: 214 Jason Belmonte: 235 Sean Rash: 203 Jason Belmonte: 232 Rhino Page: 215 Belmonte Wins! + Back-to-back TOC's!
Jorfizle (TheCuber) 23 not quite sure it must have been total pinfall and that last game where bill needed a strike would have given him the pinball to make the match
Jorfizle (TheCuber) 23 in match play, you get 30 bonus pins for winning a match. Those pins don't count towards your average. He just didn't win enough matches to capture all of the bonus pins that the other 5 qualifiers did.
It's just a habit. He directly mentioned that he does multiple things every single time before he does his approach. Drinking water, drying his hands, wiping off his balls, etc..
Intended or not, it's a bad habit and the rule needs to be updated. Last year, Weber had a line judge request Belmo stop putting his towel on Weber's ball. I wouldn't care in league play but if I were a paid professional you can bet I'd done the same thing Weber did.
It doesnt even do any harms to your bowling balls. Pretty sure weber was upset because he was losing. Belmo did the same thing in 2012, and Weber didnt get mad at all because he was winning lol. It's a fact that Weber is a whiny hot-tempered player.
Unfortunately the lefties didn't stand a chance to win this telecast at all. The headpin was always off-set slightly to the left which made their pocket smaller and the righties pockets bigger so it was a lot harder for lefties to carry on this pair. (This was also the reason for the weird pin 8s)
Mikniks in his game against rash he left the 4-6.. and yeah he was about to some 2-10 combo but even if he had left it and missed, that would put him in the 220s that game and he still would've beaten rash b/c every other shot was in the pocket.
I kinda agree with that the announcers were saying about "coming back down to earth" after a game like that. He was just probably anxious about winning and didn't take his time.
You're absolutely right about that. Breaks the all-time record with 11 majors at the 2019 world championship, completes the super slam in 2020 finally winning the U.S. open, 3rd straight world championship in the same year and wins a 3rd players championship for his record 14th major!
Love him or hate him (I cant stand him) but you have to respect Belmo. Hes the best bar none, hes just ridiculous out there, if there was an MVP of bowling it would be him, glad I don't bowl pro right now lol No one can touch him
Funaki .Chidori hes just so cocky and plays with that attitude, he does stuff purposely to annoy opponents, see what he did to Pete Weber a year or 2 ago, not that hes not humble at times or earned the right to be but just the fact that hes automatically handed all the awards every year just bugs me when theres other great players doing better, he didnt even do that well this year and still got POY
MTSpade you mean the 2015 POY because he won the masters and the toc in 2015 lol, and everything he does is within the rules and that whole pete situation was ridiculous and 90% agree with jason on that
+MTSpade If Belmo is cocky and plays with an attitude where does that put Weber? Ever see him play? 2012 US Open is a perfect example of Weber's cockiness and attitude. You are going to cry about him putting his towel on the rack? I've seen Barnes do it, you going to say the same thing about him?
Hah!You've never seen the guy that bowls in my league.Imagine this.He stands sideways on the approach with his left should and hip pointed at the pins(bowls r.handed obviously)and cradles the ball with both hands in front of him and then does his approach.OMG!It looks soooo awkward I can't even watch.
I got a Brunswick Ringer, it is pretty good on the Medium to Heavy oil. I bowl with 2 hands to sometimes, it takes no skill once so ever, It just takes practice. and two handed bowling is a cheap way for pin action
James McAllister I bowl both styles. I prefer two handed as opposed to one handed. The only difference I ever really have is the ten pins carrys more with two handed. I use a Diablo or an Alpha max depending on oil for both styles
Liam Barron i wouldnt i have joint issues that make my joint weaker than normal i can bowl two handed i just wouldnt do it so you cant say everubody would do it
All of those cranking the ball or bowling with 2 hands, enjoy it while you can. Most if not all of you will NOT be doing it in a few years. It's impossible to do over and over for any length of time without doing damage of some kind to the body.Eventually it'll happen.Just look at who was ranked #1 golfer in the world not too long ago with that awesome power swing. And is now ranked 104th or something like that. There have been several guys try to "make it" on the pro tour without using their thumb or some unorthodox style. They lasted a while.I know Belmonte has been doing it his whole life. And he's "making hay while the sun shines" for him.I'm sure even he knows the reality of it.As long as he doesn't get hurt he'll keep doiong it.Good thing is.He can bowl with one hand. But how good is he?
I read this and it saved my bowling career. I bowl one handed and even though I can put revs on it (300+ at 12 mph and not even a teen) I was really worried about two handed bowling becoming too much of a challenge to win a lot. So yeah anyway thank you for posting this to give a reality check to all those two handed wannabes (not belmo of course, he's in the pba) who think they're hot stuff. :D
And it's o.k. to think your hot stuff. And to bowl 2 handed. While your young IS the time to do it.And you may even learn how to maintain your physical game.A lot of guys have done that.Duke,Bohn,W.R.WIlliams,Weber and many others all look like the weigh within 20 lbs of what the did 20 years ago. But just the very act of bowling. The repetitive act with the shoulder and the strain on knees and ankles takes it's toll. And long term, the styles like Pete Weber and Belmo are hard to maintain. Both have rolled the ball the way they do since they were kids.I don't think a coach taught them to do what they do.It came natural. And Weber became a pro at 19.Belmonte has only been a pro for 6 years. That a LOT of years trying to perfect a style that could be over in a year or so.
Skers1 I have too. Its amazing how acceptable and arrogant fat people have become. Maybe because they are becoming the majority and society doesn't see it as shameful anymore. sad :(
300 Game Sean Rash CONGRATULAITONS RASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think so...Earl Anthony will always be the best....He won all of his in the shortest amount of time. Walter Ray took 3 times longer to catch him and to finally pass him and Weber has been a pro for 36 years and is just now getting close to 40 wins.

Sean Rash 1st person to ever get a back to back 300 game on television
people will always say someone isn't the best even if they are the best right now if the player isn't who they route for. but it doesn't matter belmo is by far the best on tour right now and when he is done he will be one of the best ever
from 5 years in the future....yep
Congrats Belmo for two wins in a row! back to back! congrats!
Many thanks that you have loaded Barbasol 2015 PBA Tournament of Champions, the 60fps add much fluidity, thanks!
Glorious 60fps.
Also, go Belmo!

Jason Belmonte doe bowl amazingly well in the Barbasol Tournament of Champions
they should get Marshall to do more commentary he's great
funny and knowledgeable. I agree.

it's ok; I was lucky to catch it on Sunday but so glad PBA uploads all of these. PBA YOU GUYS ROCK!!! :D :D And I'm a two-hander as well :D
Belmo has an advantage because he gets more lift on the ball with two hands, thereby causing the pins to scramble more, often taking out corner pins.
Patrick Melody yeah he does but nothing wrong that. :)

Wow he wins a few titles in a row so that makes him the best ever? Walter Ray Williams Jr. Is the best now and ever. Sorry belmo.
I don't think so...Earl Anthony will always be the best....He won all of his in the shortest amount of time. Walter Ray took 3 times longer to catch him and to finally pass him and Weber has been a pro for 36 years and is just now getting close to 40 wins.
+Randy Garrison Belmo is getting pretty close though. He has 12 titles in less than 8 years, that is very substantial.
+jace welsh no one has said hes the best ever, they are saying he is the best on tour, which he is right now, fucking moron
+SteelersRule1011 Absolutely. more amazing are his three-peat at the masters and repeat at the ToC
jace welsh You have no clue what your talking about.
