Wouldn't be surprised if Pickford gave up because I haven't seen or heard of him competing on the tour since 2019, and Chapman is still going but he's not performing that well.
Holy crap! As someone who has watched PBA telecasts since the mid 1960s, this one is the best I've ever seen. From the production by ESPN to Dave, Randy, and Kimberly, this was awesome! The only thing that could've made it better is if PDW had made the show. These kids are GREAT! And even though AJ Chapman bowled poorly, I could watch him bowl forever.....especially his follow-thru!
this was my first PBA event i attended. and let me tell you. it was awesome watching these guys. even met Belmo. He is such a great guy to have a conversation with. Go Banana Man!
PBA, please give the MC thing a rest, I want to watch bowling and hear whats going on, not some dude yelling the same thing over and over on microphone...

Funny you say that. Cos at 1:04:15, you could hear someone's phone alarm ring even before he started his approach.
Yet, he carried on to do a bad shot that went wide. He then complained of the phone ringing. Not sure why he didn't just... stop.

I was there for this tournament....and I totally agree. The MC with the 1-2-3 Strike crap was super annoying. I just wanted to sit there and enjoy some good matches! Not him hollering after every shot!

26:00: PBA Flashback: The good and the bad about Steve Hoskins. The good was he recovered after an injury and won in Rochester, NY with a 300 game. The bad was I thought and several other viewers was his behavior at the TPC. And for those who watched the finals in Portland, Maine, I can relate to heckling and rowdiness from fans similar to what the staff made them do at the 1997 TPC and finals the next couple of years. People who live in the Pine Tree state are similar to Canadian Maritimes and Quebec, and I've heard about heckling others during candlepin competition in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
I would love to hear more about the equipment they are using i.e. what ball what layout and why.

PBA please stop the cheering stuff after each strike or spare is really annoying. It's annoying for the players and is annoying for us the viewers. Use the music like you did it some time ago!

Yes Sir, I hear what you say. A pro makin a single in the beginning or middle of the game. It's no big deal to make singles. I bowl professional duckpins and it's alot harder to make them! !

Show the ball going down lane. Some key shots are lost.
The shot for the TV show always seem VERY different from the qualifying...and it's VERY frustrating watching the top bowlers struggle all the time like this!
What if I go to my local bowling alley and if I see somebody get a strike I can chant 1 2 3 STRIKE! So annoying.
it's sad that i have to go somewhere other than the official pba youtube channel to get a proper quality recording of the show. please start uploading these in the quality that they aired, ie 60 fps. also unrelated but relevant, PLEASE fix the stuttering/dropped frames on xtraframe (it is absolutely not my computer, i'm a CS major who works with computers every single day of my life). smooth video is paramount in a sport where you have to watch a ball roll 60 feet.
odellus youtube takes a while before the true quality is released watch any other youtuber they explain this a lot
i upload videos myself quite frequently. it takes less than 5 minutes after processing is complete for my 1440p60 and 1080p60 uploads to be transcoded. this has nothing to do with transcoding, almost all of their videos are like this. i've watched dozens of tournaments on this channel and there are only a handful of 60 fps uploads. go look at bosoares' channel, they have this broadcast uploaded in the same format as espn broadcasted it, 720p60. the video on this channel, however, is not 720p60, it is 720p30, half the original framerate. i guess i should at least be happy that it's not a stuttery mess with screwed up audio like some of the other uploads on here.
odellus it varies on many things how long it takes idk wat u talkin about I'm watchin it in the highest quality
i will say it one more time, and you can check for yourself by right clicking the video and clicking show video stats: THIS video is 1280x720 at 30 (THIRTY) fps. the ESPN BROADCAST is 1280x720 at 60 (SIXTY) fps. it does not take several hours for a 720p 30 fps video to be transcoded. there will never be a higher quality option on this video than 1280x720 at 30 (THIRTY) fps.

You know football season is over when people in your local bar are cheering on Bowling on Sundays lol. Oh well at least it gives me something to watch. And I did like the presentation although I don't know why people are complaining in the comments. If they want to reach out to younger and new generation fans by doing all that stuff then why is that a problem?

Huge Barracuda a rerack is when they sweep the pins and rack the pins back on the lane. They do this to concentrate or because a pin is out of place

All the chants helps the player to feel great about them selfs. Yes it is annoying but that is why they do the chants, to give good sport and great reputation.
