@ambrosiaaaaaa Yeah that's Ramandu's daughter and, unlike in the book, she has a name in the movie and her name is Lilliandil.
She's the girl who Caspian falls in love with and he marries her, although the movie didn't show them getting married, but that's not to say they didn't get married off-screen.

i love this movie, it was the best of all the 3. i know disney was talking about doing the magicians nephew, but it will be sad knowing you won't see the pevensie kids anymore

@ProDreamer3 Unfortunately, no the movie didn't show Caspian and Lilliandil getting married - but that's not to say they didn't get married off-screen. Apparantley, they might be bringing Ben Barnes back for The Silver Chair but if they are, it might just be for flashbacks and cameos etc seeing as Caspian is an old man in that one. They might also bring back Laura Brent to play Lilliandil again, so they might show the Caspian/Lilliandil romance in flashback, but I've absolutely no idea.

I haven't yet seen any of the newest movies of Narnia except for the version from the 80's of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I love the books read them often my favourites are 2,3,5 and 6. I sure hope they make the movie The Horse & His Boy and The Last Battle I bet those movies would be amazing.
I just watched it today. Okay, I am a big, big Narnia+Harry Potter [books] fan. But, let me say you one thing about their films:
Harry Potter got NOTHING on the Chronicles of NARNIA: Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
It was so touching. I guarantee that you will feel your spirit lifted. SOO GOOODD
for those of you who noticed that caspian no longer has his telmarine accent, he had to fake having that accent in the first place and i believe it was this movie that they got a new director. i think that the director decided to not bother with the telmarine accent anymore and just let ben talk as he usually does.

Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe was epic, though I think the others were good too.
No one knows what a Boggart looks like when it is alone. Harry can't be afraid of something he never has seen.

@MultiPokemonMasters I did not say that anybody copied anyone. The word "copied" never showed up in my comment. I just corrected Sobras04 over who came first. Narnia came before Harry Potter. That's all I meant in my comment.

@mitzywilka I'm pretty sure that the Caspian accent change was actually intentional. I heard him say something in an interview about how they thought it would make sense if, since he'd been living amongst Narnians with 'English' accents,for the past few years, he had picked it up. They just thought it'd be better if he changed his Telmarine accent to Narnian. :)

@FightingFrequency You saw them on Earth, not in Narnia. IN this Lucy and Edmund go back and they bring their cousin along. In the one after this, the cousin goes back along with some girl from his school.
I always read the books before and imagine what they are going to add to make it that extra bit epic... I can't wait!

@silfuryn I would have to say that you can never be sure by a trailer. I remember when the first Narnia movie came out and I didn't like the preview but my school went to see it and it was the best movie I had ever seen so please don't judge by the trailer

@Iambornforthis Peter and Susan make cameo appearances in the movie, but they're not main characters - Edmund and Lucy are.

@polkadotttlover I read it on Narnia's website (long long ago) that the actors who played Peter and Susan dropped the movie. I think they want another role to play or something. But Susan agreed to make a cameo, I dont know about the Peter actor though :)
So if you stop the trailer at 1:43, you can tell that both the actors suasn and peter and both going to be making a cameo in this movie.
I didn't get to see it in time, and now it's not at the movies anymore...:( I guess I will have to wait for it to come out on DVD.

And I was happy to see...Anna Popplewell (Susan) makes an appearance in this movie after all??? :)
@MsBlahBlahxx I don't think they are because in the last film Aslan said Peter and Susan would not return to Narnia, I think it might be something to do with their age.

The Dementors represented fear to Harry. Harry didn't know what a Boggart's real form looked like, and it likely would not have scared him, so no.
They will make The Magician's Nephew, The Horse And His Boy, The Sliver Chair and The Last Battle someday, and maybe, they will be in REALD 3D and IMAX 3D. I so love The Chronicles Of Narnia The Lion, The Witch And The Wardorbe, Prince Caspian and The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader.
There is a BAD NEWS about Walden Media. However, in May 2012, Gresham confirmed that technically any studio still has the option of making a Narnia film during the moratorium, but without the involvement of Walden Studios it cannot be released until 2018 at the earliest. Erm, no, it always was a Dementor. The whole point of it being that Harry's fear isn't Voldemort, but fear itself. Lupin initially thought it would be Voldemort, so in the books he doesn't let Harry face the boggart with the class, while in the movie he does. Everything else is the same, tho.

Nah. It just wasn't memorable. It's one of those movies where one would ask them self "why is there another sequel?" or "Okay, this has gotta stop."

@3WJRI by the sound of it you haven't read the books. Both series are extremely good and very different, so you can't compare them. In all honesty though, Harry Potter has much more complex writing (on the technical side) than Narnia, and judging by your language maybe that's why you prefer Narnia... Personally I enjoy both series and think they are both excellent.

Why didn't I hear about this film sooner? I'm on youtube so much of the time I should have seen a trailer before it came to theators, but no there was absolutely no hint of this. I only first discovered it when I saw it was playing in the theator room opposite to the one I was going to. I saw Harry Potter part 7 at that time, same production value but marketing makes a big difference.
I like how Caspians spanish accent completely fucked off in this film,its like Ben barnes forgot all about it,spoke normaly and nobody noticed till half through the filming & thought "Oh shit! The accent! Oh well..fuck it" lol
Speaking as one who has not read the books, this trailer is highly misleading, it gives the impression that the entire film takes place in Aslan's world. By putting the ending scene of the movie right at the start of the trailer, it's only logical to assume Aslan opens a gateway to his land in which the heroes must journey in order to defeat the evil thingie.
I can't wait to watch this movie!
They should make the rest of the books into a movie!!!

I'm thinking Caspian's loss of the Spanish accent is supposed to show his being older and more mature now, as well as having absorbed some of the Narnian accent (which is more British) and lost some of the Telmarine accent (the Spanish).

I have this strange feeling after seeing the white witch, some enchanted sword and a weird sea monster that this film doesn't stay loyal to the books.

The Chronicles of Narnia is the best fantasy series and this movie is so magical and perfect especially in 3Djust like what i imagined n the books i really wish if they film the whole series not only the one it has(peter_Lucy_Susan_etc) the horse and his boy will be great also the first book the magician nephew
@45800lol I was just saying how the book that this film was based on was written way before Harry Potter came about, so the ideas and story this film is trying to convey came WAY before any ideas for Harry Potter were set down. Yeah, it looks similar to HP and 'Pirates,' but Narnia was the idea that came BEFORE those two came about ;P

It's possible he changed his accent to make his subjects more comfortable with him, seeing him as a Narnian monarch and not a Telmarine one.

@Mudsville1 Maybe right, but still the fact of changes made by the director annoys me. I liked the way the book shows the voyage to the reader, not necessarily focusing on all the fighting and so on. More like an adventure instead of another fight for Narnia.

@WatchmenDrManhattan I respect your views about this movie, but I'll have to disagree with you, this movie is a total amazing and excellent movie, it has an excelent and good story. The book is just as equally exciting as the movie, not the same plot but equally exciting.

I was a bit disappointed because I don't think it had the same "magic Narnia feel" like the other movies and i think it got a bit messy. I was also kind of sad that there were almost no fairytale creatures. But it guess it had to do with that they were on a boat :)
Or that they had a different director ....
I still loved the move though. It's narnia. Always amazin:)
