  • Pretty much the final step in this laundry series I've done. There are a couple other things that I haven't shown (a project is never really finished in my opinion) but for now its completed.
    You should definitely subscribe to this channel! I'm going to do a backyard video soon that will be pretty cool to see the transformation. I also have several other videos planned that you might find informative or at least interesting.
    Thanks for watching!

    You've done a really good job. I was recommended the floor tile painting video and it was so satisfying that I continued the series. You have a real knack for presenting. I don't even need to do any DIY yet but I'll pop back if I do.

    What a difference you have made to what the room was originally. The things I liked about your project videos were that you talked in layman's terms, you showed/discussed problems you encountered along the and how you overcame them. This is unlike other instructional videos where each step is performed seemlessly (i.e. no problems encountered).
    On to watching your other projects ...

    First of all. Love your channel. There's some promising content you've got here. As a sidemark - I happened to notice you did not use any protection while handling silicone. As a civil engineering student may I please point out that the toxins in fresh silicone are easily absorbed through skin (crazy I know). I guess as a one time off there's no fatal threat to your health but for future reference I strongly recommend either using anything but your finger to remove the excess silicone (stick, piece of cable or anything that you can throw away) or simply pull on a pair of rubber gloves. Just promise you will not do that again and we're all good here ;)

      @TheHandyTech  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chrissy Jensen thanks very much. No we are currently living in Perth and usually it's hot and dry, so much so the clothes are drying as you hang them out. It also helps our clothesline is under cover :) thanks for watching

    Question: How has your floor held up? I am wanting to do the same for my bathroom and would love your opinion.

    • @TheHandyTech
      @TheHandyTech  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very good so far, however it is a low traffic area and wouldn't be used as much as a bathroom. I guess you have to look at the cost vs results. If you have hideous tiles and are not worried about spending ~ $100 then you will get a good result for the money. Obviously a better choice is to replace the tiling altogether, however this is not always a budget friendly solution. Hope that helps, thanks for watching

    Using maaking tape on silicone, when is it ok to remove the tape? After dry or before silicone dry????

    • @TheHandyTech
      @TheHandyTech  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Karen Cu Hi Karen you can remove it pretty much straight away it's just a method to get a straight edge on the silicone. If the silicon dries you won't be able to remove the tape without damage to the silicon

    • @KarenCu
      @KarenCu 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheHandyTech makes sense! Also i wish i did the masking tape for my kitchen counter. The guy that did the seal just use a rug to clean the excess but there was a lot of residue left! 🤦‍♀️
