I remember back then in my area it from Pokémon to Yu Gi Oh, and then it all stopped after Hurricane Katrina hit in August pf 2005. Everyone was 14/15 years old, and we basically had to grow up to be 21 years old. For most of us, our cards and games were gone along with our childhood and teenage years.
Based on all the errors and missing information, there's no way this video isn't lazy AI slop. I had such a hard time as a child figuring out yugioh when it fist came out because it was so vastly different from the show. It eventually got there during battle city. I still can't believe that censorship helped to create one of the best aspects of the show with "the shadow realm"

The amount of mispronounciations of names in this video is staggering. It's almost like they just went through the wiki and never watched a single episode. Edit: There was also the COMPLETELY missing seasons of the Orichalcos and the cyber world arc.

Battle City could honestly have gotten significantly shortened or even cut in both versions without affecting the story much. They just cut or shorten several duels, completely adjust the arc and lengthen duels in other better arcs.

And the video wouldn't have CUT OUT DSOD, A MOVIE THAT THE ORIGINAL CREATOR WAS THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF. It doesn't help that the video itself is littered with false narrative information, and normal misinformation (E.G. The air date of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters was NOT 1998, instead it was 2000, with the video mistaking the Toei animated show for the Studio Gallop animated show. The narrative misinformation being the "Bakura shatters the millennium puzzle" statement. It was actually the possessed Bandit Keith who shatters the puzzle.). If this channel turns out to be a content mill channel, then none of what I have said will matter in the end.
