Salt mining here is tough. Either people complaining his cymbals don't sound like bells or that his playing isn't pristine 4/4 by Ringo Starr. Keep up the great work Matt, anyone who actually puts the time in to learn about the art and mechanics of drumming even a little bit understands your tremendous work ethic and talent.

Only complaint my drum teacher has is that the toms are too low-pitched. They don't have much personality. I sorta agree, but the sound fits the music anyways in my opinion, so I don't really gripe about it.

Who are these people complaining that you speak of? Most of us here are drummers or at least muscially inclined enough to recognize his brilliance.
If anyone complains, they probably listen to pop music and can't even fathom his drumming or they're just jealous.
This is a tough one to get at full speed. It's tricky to get those articulations on the hi hat to be nice and clear. And that ride pattern at 3:06 is pretty tough at this speed with all the ghost notes and kick pattern. Not to mention the fills with the quintuplets. I'm hoping to cover this one but it will be a while before I get it at 100% speed. You're the man Matt.

I've been working on this one for a while. Seriously have had to slow it down to about three-fourths speed to figure out where everything fits in there.
I just finished a drum cover of this(its on my channel) and I literally spent 4 days straight on the solo section at 95% speed before I could play those ghost notes at full speed lol. Matt's left hand is downright spooky.

Yeah lol, in every song his drumming makes me move my legs like crazy, just to keep up with the rhythm. And this song was VERY challenging!!!
And to think there was a time that I was devastated to hear that Navene was being replaced.
Don't get me wrong, navene koperweis is great and all but I'd choose Matt over him in a demisemihemidemisemiquaver.

It pisses me off that I have subscribed and turned all notifications on for this channel, yet I only found this video by seeing it elsewhere. Its not in my subscription list. Never got notified. I mean jesus christ, TH-cam. When I say I want to know about this channel's activity, it wasn't a suggestion.
It probably has to do with the fact that it was uploaded privately and then made public just a few days ago. All of these Madness Of Many playthroughs have been available to anyone who actually bought the lesson package I believe, hence why you can find comments on here from almost a year ago.

I feel like this is one of those songs that you have to start a pattern and then just stop paying attention to that part and focus on everything else, like the ride pattern at 3:06. Just gotta start it and let that groove set in your mind and dance with it

Bringing jazz chords to metal is great. I'm not huge on jazz because it's complex but not hard enough. This is complex and hard and has a lot of dynamics.
