Come on Johny... 1 point difference on the championship! The 7th on the row is going to be nasty! - 500 rpm, riding with one hand, I don't care... You always have the way to win, cause we live in the era of the GOAT of SBK. And we are very lucky for that. We are gonna tell stories about you to our grandchildren! Thank you for that sir!

@@dalecross19 If you don't like the rules, you can watch something else but SBK. The green thing that Toprak uses to run over it, it's grass. And for safety reasons removed the grass and paint the area green. It is the limit of the track. If you have ever ride a motorcycle, you know what it means to run over grass, especially to high speeds...Instand crash. So 0 points for Toprak every time he does it. He is lucky to be punished and not crashed. Rules are not stupid, believe me. Everything has it's reason to exist.

So cool to see that even with all the media hubbub about everything, you and Toprak still get along just fine in the usual laid back style off track. Compete fiercely on track and that's it, like you said in the interview.

I was in business class with you, on a trip to Qatar, where you must have been testing, many years ago.
As soon as i saw your kids i immediately thought “this is going to be a nightmare, ill never get any peace and quiet!”
Couldn’t have been further from the truth, you and your wife were so good with your kids and i could tell they have been brought up well.
I didn’t realise it was you, until we were an hour or so into the journey.
I had a little chuckle to myself seeing you and your boy playing a superbike game on the iPad and, of course you played as yourself!
I wanted to congratulate you on your championship win, but didn’t want to be bothering you about work when you were with your family.
You probably wont see this, but you can tell a lot about a man by how he is with his family and , apart from being a World class WSB rider you’re a great dad and i took more away from that than anything else.

I loved the Co.Antrim barley stubble comment! Years ago my bro and I used to race in the schoolboy rounds and I remember for a couple of years there was a barley stubble race directly behind Muckamore Abbey hospital, it was some kind of fun day thing for the patients. It was a very fast track and it was where I first learned to use front brake on an RM80 lol. My dad spotted one of the patients admiring our bikes at the back of the van so he gave him a Suzuki peaked cap, the smile that spread across his face was like as if he had been given £1000!

Jonathan is an amazing person. In case people already forgot, 6 times world superbike champion, 100 races winner, endurance race winner and so on. Championship is closer than ever on points, close to it's end, and pressure is bviously high. Fingers crossed to the best outcome, but even if it doesn't happen, life goes on. Every reign has to come to an end eventually. After reading about mental pressure on you guys riders, I just want to wish you strength in the last races, focus on riding, corner after corner to ride your best, and don't forget to enjoy racing more than anything. You should totally ignore what people who cannot ride a bicycle say online and focus on riding here and now. Championship is a sum of race outcomes, and those are a sum of corners executed. If you let people in your head, upsetting your cool, you'll lose your riding focus and performance will taper off like it happened in the Jerez race 2. You could have gone faster, but you weren't in your skin more than anything. Your cornering wasn't as I know it, but that's okay. Once again, keep your head up, focus on upcoming battles and bring out your best. I am lookin forward to battles between you, Toprak and Scott and keep championship at the edge of the seat! As the most successful wsbk rider of all times riding bike hampered by regulations to slow you down, you don't have to prove anything anymore. Go Jonathan, Go Team Green, and thank you all guys for making the WSBK more entertaining than motoGP!

Don't know if you'll ever reply, but it doesn't matter (even if it would make me really happy, like a child on Christmas eve); the important think is that who really loves SBK (and motorsport overall) is living a fantastic period thanks to you (and also your rivals) and one day could say that he had the possibility to see one of the best rider ever. It's since Imola 2002 that we're waiting such a thrilling championship!
Don't give up, don't care about stupid persons who judge and insult only because they have no brain, and rememeber that you're a fantastic example for many people and inspiration for future champions!
Hope to meet you in Misano next year, have a ride with road bike and offer you an ice cream in Riccione! Good luck from Italy! Ciao!

I have to say, that through these vlogs, you are changing my perception of you. Your intensity and focus was never in doubt but you come across really well - committed of course, but straight up and down type of bloke.

Frankly I believe that Jhonny is not only a talent on the world of racing and a legend of SBK, but also a great person, an incredible athlete is a great professional. Saying this I don't think an intelligent person like him can go and finish his career at Yamaha where he will find a new bike, not evolved over the years and where he will struggle very hard to reach top positions. Yamaha can't give him a winning and competitive package with an old bike and no refurbishment projects. I believe that being the leading figure for Kawasaki with whom he has become the great champion he is today is that everyone knows, he will continue his career with the green colours with which he will be able to reach an important figure in the team even after his retirement from racing. It makes no sense at this point in his career and with his years to change to find a completely new team, a new bike but with the same problems as his ninja! He can still develop and work on Kawasaki even in view of next year where he will have more concessions and more room for improvement! In my opinion if you have to get off Kawasaki to go to Ducati it's fine, but leaving Kawasaki for even worse bikes doesn't make sense. Come on jhonny that you are our myth, don't give up and keep showing the world how to drive 100% whit the KRT 💚

Rea the writing is on the well the FIM was not going to allow you a 7 WSBK championship not on kawaski anyways putting a handicap 500 revs on you is a crime so that other’s can catch up Yamaha,Ducati Toprak is a good rider we know this 3 years ago you paid your dues and are the goat of WSBK if you lose the championship it’s on kawaski it’s time to move on to Moto GP

    • @classicsportclassictiyl8547
      @classicsportclassictiyl8547 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The FIM didn't give Kawasaki the 500rpm because they homologated the bike very late and the bike wasn't a significant upgrade on last year's bike. I found this out via Steve English Kawasaki would get the 500rpm if the 2022 bike is a significant upgrade on the 2021 bike because the only thing that's different to last years bike externally is the front faring and tweaks with the engine. They homologated it late because they assumed that the FIM would consider it a new bike but the basic package (chassis geometry etc) is still the same as it was 10 years ago when PBM were running the Kawasaki WSBK team Provec didn't come in until the following year 2012. They'll get the 500rpm next season if they can show a significant upgrade which I think is needed because Kawasaki are a bit behind the curve when it comes to power and especially handling we've seen with JR crashes at Donington and Most that the Kawasaki doesn't like it bumpy.

This is so false info Kenan had a interview last time. He said the plan for Deniz Oncu is clear he will stay at moto gp category he has bigger talent then his twin Can Oncu. Plan For Can Oncu is Supersport champion and then he will choose which way he wants moto2 or Superbike Can oncu is free to make a choice wich route he wants to go. For Toprak was always the goal Superbike champion and then go to Moto gp with a status as a superbike champion.

Come on toprak going to motogp. You're young. Because if you're 30 years old, the team motogp does not call you. And this is the best opportunity for you. Jonathan rea has given the real information too..

    Dear Jonathan and KRT-Team,
I hope you or one of your team members read this before the next race weekend.
I see with regret that you have problems with stopping the bike, among other problems such as acceleration and tire consumption. But I guess braking is currently the biggest problem. I have been thinking about how to solve this problem. As far as I have noticed it was not the first time (Misano, Navara, Most, Magny-Cours) that the engine brake is pushing the bike in the braking zone. I don't know if the former bike did the same.
    Here are some suggested solutions:
If you don't already do it, it would be better to use more the rear brake. Especially try to use the rear brake before the frond brake. When you reach the breaking zone push gently the rear brake first to slow down the rear wheel to avoid that the engine push you to much. Then hit the front brake as as usual. Here some possible configuration options for the rear brake setup. If it's difficult to dose the rear brake, then your team could set the pressure to 50% or 75% of standard value, then you don't have to worry about falling. Or set the footbrake to 100% pressure and the rear brake on the handlebar to 50% or vice versa, then you have two options and you can decide at which corner you use the rear brake additionally to the frond brake. And if you brake more on the rear maybe it relieves more pressure on the front wheel (avoid overheating) and stabilises the bike through the corner.
I don't know if it's an option but would it help when you use more engine brake. I don't if it's allowed, but maybe it is an option to use serveral mappings with different percentage of engine brake which can switched during the race.
Third option could be to use the clutch in the braking phase (if you don't already do it). I know that the current setup does not allow for this, because the clutch lever is currently in an uncomfortable position. As I understand that you only use the clutch when starting. Maybe it isn't usefull anymore today for a pro WSBK rider to use the clutch during the race, but it could avoid the engine push the bike while braking.
I hope it will help and good luck in Jerez.
