Toyota is definitely not what it used to be! The new tundra engines are blowing up! They can only run on their reliability history for so long. The new Toyotas have NOT been reliable. Time to get a modern Kia with the latest tech. Kias are just as reliable as Toyota nowadays. No need to buy an outdated and ugly Toyota.
I imagine the Sorento competes more with the Toyota Highlander vs the Rav 4. The Kia is a bit bigger than the Rav 4. I would seriously consider buying this over the Toyota. Toyota just isn't what it used to be.
The Kia is still technically in the same class as the RAV4 even though it’s a little bigger. The Highlander is definitely bigger since it’s a midsize 3 row and not a compact 3 row like the Kia. Also, I would trust Toyota’s hybrids way more than Hyundai/Kia hybrid systems because Toyota is more proven. Also the Kia has a turbo which won’t last as long as a non turbo hybrid like the Toyota

i have a friend who owns a sorento way back 2012 still running in good condition to this date with 250k+ km mileage, its not about the brand, its about how you maintain it as the owner
I love that the EX doesnt have all of the awful gloss black. They reserved that for SX prestige. I guess they figured if you have an extra $8,000 you can afford to hire someone to constantly wipe dust and fingerprints off it.

I went to see the non hybrid version it's second row is cramped for 4 people and it's overpriced for its segment.

Kia is nowhere closed to a Rav4 or any Toyota not the interior not the build definitely not the engine even if a Kia is $5000 lower then the rav4 im sure people that know about car will still take a rav4 over any Kia you might think you have a deal cause is $5000 lesser but you will spend most of the time in a mechanic shop then driving it.

My parents kia is a 2011 and has only needed battery replacement. I have a toyota and don't see a difference between the brands now. We have to think about the fact that toyota and honda are not always the best. Expand you mind to other car brands. Each brand has some good cars.

I prefer the 6 speed auto over the ECVT on the hybrids, Kia know how to make hybrids engaging and fun to drive…
