I worked for Best Friends Animal society and I just want to thank you Aaron and Buzzfeed Celeb for mentioning our adoptable kitties! Although I personally had a hard time at the location I was at, I can say the caregivers (I was one) work so hard to care and adopt out these babies who we see as our own. It's so heartbreaking when we get in sad cases but also really rewarding seeing these babies go off into great homes, when healthy and able. The org. is incredible and I am proud to have worked for them. As a caregiver, we not only handle these pets as long as they are with us, we also get to learn about them, socialize them, play and love them and we do our best to mention as much as we could about a specific animal to potential adopters and place them into the right homes. Thank you for encouraging people to consider heading to BFAS for their next pet! We love you! xo
