8:20 From what I’ve seen, the Cybot was built to resemble the already constructed 84 suit. Considering how Cybotgoji looks more like BioGoji with the pumped up chest, lumpier, longer face and the smaller eyes, maybe they tweaked the design and those tweaks eventually made their way into Biogoji’s design.
These figures look amazing and are a great way of commemorating the 50th of Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla and the 40th of The Return of Godzilla. They should rerelease the 84 gojis for next year for the anniversary of Godzilla 85. They should be the exact same figures, but they come with a bottle of Dr. Pepper.
Now all we need is The Giant Condor. COME ON PEOPLE VOTE FOR THE GIANT CONDOR, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO. If not just ask yourself one question, HOW ELSE ARE WE EVER GOING TO GET THE GIANT CONDOR? Well that was fast, must have paid a lot to get these shipped fast. So looking forward for cybot godzilla, never expected this bot to get a mms and yet here we are. The sculpt is awesome, that face most folks will definitely remember as he is the face of most products in the 90s, vhs in particular. Easily the best of the two. Mechagodzilla looks fun as the pose is on point and the paint and detail is very nice. Out of the two, cybot is my pick. Great video, Rob!
Wasn’t too bad, all Things considered. I think it was around $40. Went from Japan to Me In a day lol worth it! Very happy Cybot finally has a new rep in vinyl format BEYOND all the X Plus releases. Thats been long overdue!
Don't know why but seeing that Mechagodzilla make me super nostalgic. Maybe cuz he reminds of the US Bandai MG, which is a figure I owned for such a long time now and my favorite of the US Bandai figure. Flying Mechagodzilla just looks so good too.
I know what you’re saying, 74 as a design and a movie is heavily nostalgic for me too. That damn double VHS set with vs Gigan.. so many memories. Gonna make getting that standard 74 MG in November all the more important!
Hello! I was wondering what your thoughts are on the MMS quality atm, it feels like the high-quality figures are all Godzilla store exclusives and the main-line is very hit or miss. Like we’ll get a borderline X-plus figure in Anguirus 1955 but the same year get the kaiser ghidorah figure. Don’t know about you but I find it quite disappointing atm
I'm in the middle, really. love when they hit. bummed when they don't. the last few wide and exclusive releases have been rather good, so i'm expecting a middling release any time now lol Which will more than likely be the 'new' 1954 that's coming out next month. It'll be hard for them to do as bad as 1992 Mothra at this point. Hopefully they dont!
@@ShinRobjira same opinion here! On the whole the past two years releases have been ups and downs and hopefully the “new” 1954 will be pretty cool. The quality control is definitely 50/50 with new sculpts, which Tbf is probably why they’re re-releasing a few memorial box repaint figures rather than committing to a lot more new sculpts.
I’ve NEVER been a fan of Cybot Godzilla and NEVER needed it as a figure. With that said for those do/did am glad you all got it. Although I do prefer Cybot Godzilla’s dorsal plates when compared to the 84 suit’s plates. And I can’t deny how good the figure looks or how good a job Bandai did with it.
It was a long time wish listed “never gonna happen” type thing, so just it existing is… a win for whatever fans out there who’ve been hoping for some wild offerings. Because now, anything from the movies feels possible!
@@ShinRobjira I still hope that Bandai makes the Movie Monster Series figures of Barugon and Zedus so that every Kaiju that appeared in the Gamera series is complete unless Garasharp comes along
Did I see the paint scratch off on the penguin posed MG, or did it come like that? 🤔 Anyways the pose is great if you’ve always wanted a MG shaped foot ball to throw around 😂
