Rest in Peace to all who acted in The Batman tv series who are no longer with us. Your memories will live on in all the kids like me who watched such a great tv show.
Who were the real-life people who were thrown into the "Batman" TV series? That's the fashion designer Rudi Gernreich, the jewelry store floor walker G. David Schine, little Egypt, Paul Revere, and the Raiders, Johnny Green, and his Green Men, in Pierre Salinger, known as lucky Pierre. These people didn't make any cameo appearances. 🇪🇬 ❤️ 💙 ♥️ 👏 😍 🇪🇬
Eight years ago, I visited the Bronson Cave in LA, and the outside of the Batcave, the larger parking area, and the metal gate did not exist then. The scenery of the Bat Cave and Bronson Canyon is still the same as I was there. It was well worth visiting. Also, I trekked up to the Hollywood sign, which was awesome. Several TV shows took place there, such as Mission Impossible: the episode: Bunker (Part 1 and 2) and others. Even the legendary film "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1956) took place there too. Thanks for sharing the video of your visit to Bat Cave.
It’s funny how the opening to the cave has been seen in countless countless movies, movie serials, and tv series. But when you see it, no matter which film you’re watching, you say “That’s the Batcave!”
Video popped up in my feed out of nowhere (probably recommended because I looked at a Gilligans Island video the other day); I enjoyed this video greatly, love these kind of connections to our collective past!
Thanks Scott! I never went to see the Bat Cave and I'm so glad I was able to see where they filmed the cave. It brought back so many great memories. I never did get to meet Adam West and he had to be the same kind person as Batman. You did an amazing job making this. God Bless
A whole documentary on the cave that shows all the movie and TV scenes it has been used in could be made, and is one I would love to see! And the surrounding hills and cliffs used in so many TV shows and movies as well, including Star Trek.
Cool tour of the cave. We also live close to a somewhat 'iconic' cave - the Screaming Tunnel - where they shot a pivotal scene in David Cronenberg's 1983 film The Dead Zone.
Holy Discovery , Batman! I always wanted to go there and check out Batman’s Computers and a fricking cool ManCave. Batgirl got to go there BUT she had to knocked out .
One thing that was left out, since there really wasn't much room for the car, when it was filmed coming out it was done very slowly. It was then played back at a faster speed.
True. Another note is that the car was just not fast at all, wouldn't have enough time or distance to accelerate to that exit speed and they had to time the prop doors that swung out.
My main interest in this was The Lone Ranger, the 1956 film with Clayton Moore. You showed a clip of a great scene and there were a few others. The very first episode of the Lone Ranger was also shot there, it's where the young Texas Ranger, Reid becomes the Lone Ranger
Great job, Scott! Thank you. If I recall correctly, about seven years before Batman, this was where the Teenagers From Outer Space had their Gargon stashed.
Awesome education and nostalgic video. Being a Batman Classic fan, I truly enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing this trekking adventure. Pretty neat most of the Justice League filmed there! Definitely a bucket list check off.
Went there 2 years ago. Awesome! Saw the cave and hiked over top of it. Didn't notice Ms lane had discovered it first! On the back side, a ton of old Sci fi movies were made, like the one with that space -helmet gorilla.
I grew up watching this show. Incredible. Collecting everything Bat related is fun too. I am only interested in the original items. Harder to find but worth the time and money.
For a location shoot, hard to find anything more iconic than perhaps Vasquez Rocks. Now all I want is to watch Return to the Bat-Cave. Wow, poor Burt. From an irresistible slice of Boy-wonder to, "Boy, wonder if he ever resisted a slice of pie?" Can't take away the memories, though.😊
Wow, man... I was transfixed...! Also... Original Star Trek... "Bread and Circuses" episode... Wouldn't have minded you covering that... Wouldn't have minded at all... :)
Here’s something neat. Frank Gorshin the Riddler was my 3rd cousin on my Slovenian Mothers side. Great bragging rights when I was a kid. After Batman..Frank was a great impressionist and we used to visit his dressing room whenever he performed in Toronto hotels and nightclubs. Great guy.😁👍🏾
Great video. All new info to me... Except the bald spot. We could see it before you even turned around. lol kidding... But this was genuinely a cool video to come across. Thanks.
4:45 Someone correct me if I'm wrong. That location looks like the one from TV's Get Smart. Season 5 episode 5 (S05E05) called "The Treasure of C Errol Madre". There's a shootout toward the end (18th minute of my version).
Thank you so much for the video. I remember as a child trying to memorize Adam West and Burt Ward name’s thinking one day I could know who they are in real life. Decades later I could finally figured it out. A quick question, how can get a permit to get there?
I didn't mention many, many more than just that. I kept it pretty much to DC characters for this specific video and the Lone Ranger. Obviously this video isn't the end all for the role this area played in movie history.
I'm not positive, but I think that was the helicopter stunt that Lynda Carter did herself. Afterwards she got yelled at by the producers for taking that risk.
. -- some have shared that this is the same ( outside ) locale as *Owl Cave* from David Lynch *&* Mark Frost's 1991 later season episode(s) of Twin Peaks. ~ kinda cooL.
Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt. It was a made for TV movie. Fair warning, not that great other than pure nostalgia. www.imdb.com/title/tt0321359/
I was going to ask that, but decided to check the comments first to see if it was answered. So.....THANKS! Cheers\=/\=/ OBTW...You're right. One great film!
Is the Mansion used as 'Stately Wayne Manor' still in existance ?. The property can be seen in some of the opening scenes in certain episodes. Someone wrote the place was burnt down...I'd love to see the Mansion if it's still alive...
I never thought about it before but the Gotham City / outskirts of the Adam West ‘60’s series was a distinctly _west coast-looking_ city and locale, rather than the common east coast flavour of Batman media . . . 🤣
This was originally filmed in 2007 and I knew a guy in New Jersey who made them before we ever had 66 Batman licensed products. Fan-made. I wish I still had it.
This cave/tunnel doesn't look big enough to hold all the Batcave equipment, (except for the Batmobile), that was in the TV show. Were they originally shown in a different location? If so, where? 🦇
@@batfriend1557 Sorry, my bad, I missed that. Usually I do read the full description of a video, but being lazy today. I haven't seen the Bat Cave for something like....25 years? I remember back then it was pretty overgrown around it.

With their images and voices preserved, they really didn't die
I think the only ones left are Burt Ward and Julie Newmar.
I love that TV show.
Frank Gorshin was my 3rd cousin.

Hey Man, Thanks For That! I Was Seven When It Aired & Adam West Will Always Be The Only Batman To Me.

I don´t know why this vid came up but I am so glad it did. Thanks for a great video with some interesting facts of other films using the location!

Absolutely BAT-Tasic! 🦇

The iconic Batcave, this sure brings back a lot of memories watching this show when I was little. Thank you for making this video!!
THANKS SOO MUCH FOR THIS .... BAT MAN RULES !!!!

Great Job on the tour and great editing.. I was there a little over a year ago.. You are right, it's pretty special to be there in person..
Sure was a lot greener back then. Such an iconic location.
So interesting! Thanks for posting.
So much Television and film history there! I grew up watching the '66 Batman and Batman TSA.
This was great, Scott. Thanks! Next time Come out, I will know how to get to the Batcave!
LOVE IT! Well done. It really is magical stepping inside that tunnel.
Great job, loved this! 🙏🏻
Had the pleasure to work there several times. Great segment.
Loved "Batman" it's still on ME-TV. Lone Ranger a great one too.
Cool tour of the cave. We also live close to a somewhat 'iconic' cave - the Screaming Tunnel - where they shot a pivotal scene in David Cronenberg's 1983 film The Dead Zone.
Thank you very much I watched the show when I was young but never saw this side of the show

Thanks for sharing the Bat Cave with us 😊 awesome video 👍👍
As we all knew him as Charlie Bronson, "Death wish". He came to Hollywood under a different name. Saw the road name "Bronson" and kept the name.
Wondered where the bat 🦇 cave was located! Thanks!
Good video mate . Hi from London UK
Very interesting, thank you
Famous location for films & television. The Searchers, Star Trek, The Wild, Wild West, Mission: Impossible, Laredo, The High Chaparral, The A-Team.
Hey man. This was a cool video. I think you're awesome. Cheers
Great stuff Scott. I so hope to visit L.A. before I die and would love to have you as a guide!
Very nice job! Loved all the back history and footage!
Great tour thankyou!
I had just assumed it was filled in or something
Holy batcave. Thankyou sir
Very nicely done video.
Wow, that brought a lump to my throat.
Just made my day........thankyou
I LOVE THAT SHOW BATMAN 🦇

LOVE THAT BATMOBILE
Actually, Bronson Avenue is what gave Charles Buchinsky the idea to change his name to Bronson.
Nice job- cool video!
Thanks from Brazil !! Sao Paulo. May 2023, 28.
Awesome channel!!
I sat in the batmobile at a car show back in the 70s :)
Wow, man... I was transfixed...!
Also... Original Star Trek... "Bread and Circuses" episode... Wouldn't have minded you covering that... Wouldn't have minded at all... :)
Over 125 movies and TV shows have been filmed there.
Very cool, thanks,

This was shot back in 2007. That bald spot has taken over. Lol.
Great stuff thanks!
I remember hearing a story that Christian Bale shot a scene in his remake of 3:10 to Yuma in this cave.
So cool.
Thanks for the video. Maybe do one on Wayne Manor which is over in Pasadena.
If I could get on the property properly. That would be fun.
I was up there today and there are these big rocks, almost boulders kind of blocking the entrance enough that a car couldn't get through, grrr. why???
Falling rock and debris has been happening enough in more recent history that they periodically put a closed gate at the cave entrance.
It is also in the "War" scene from the Monkees movie "HEAD"
Woww the batcave was in holllywood??? Man thats great history.
"Invasion of the Body Snatchers" 1956 cave also!
Wasnt a scene in V the final battle filmed here ? Looks a bit like it. Great video 👍
I personally don't know on that one but wouldn't doubt it. I'd have to check out the footage.
4:45 Someone correct me if I'm wrong. That location looks like the one from TV's Get Smart. Season 5 episode 5 (S05E05) called "The Treasure of C Errol Madre". There's a shootout toward the end (18th minute of my version).

Great video!
One time when I visited The Bronson Cave, a film production placed a faux Railroad Track.
Nice!
also used as Robot Monster cave location
They probably just needed one filmed sequence of the car exiting the cave and they'd replay that each episode where the batmobile was going out.
Star Trek did some filming there as well. I know Voyager did an episode there
Might have been the episode "The 39'ers", i think it was called.
Not to mention Robot Monster and his bubble machine. Which you didn't mention.
I didn't mention many, many more than just that. I kept it pretty much to DC characters for this specific video and the Lone Ranger. Obviously this video isn't the end all for the role this area played in movie history.
I bet lots of partying has taken place up there... Didn't they film Combat there too?
I wonder how much it would coast in real life, to turn a old cave space, into a secret headquarters for masked heroes?
During the pandemic, the closed both entrances to the bat cave!
I'm not positive, but I think that was the helicopter stunt that Lynda Carter did herself. Afterwards she got yelled at by the producers for taking that risk.
Wow 🤗
. -- some have shared that this is the same ( outside ) locale as *Owl Cave* from David Lynch *&* Mark Frost's 1991 later season episode(s) of Twin Peaks.
~ kinda cooL.
That's right, same cave (well tunnel) but it's the back entrance rather than the front side that the Batmobile appears from.
What was the show called where you had the clips of the making of the Batman series?
Would love to see that!
Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt. It was a made for TV movie. Fair warning, not that great other than pure nostalgia. www.imdb.com/title/tt0321359/
With the tunnel being so narrow, how did they get the scenes of the Batmobile driving out of the opening at high rates of speed?
It was actually filmed with a technique called "under cranking" to give the illusion that the car was driving out faster than it actually was.
Wow, very cool, remember kids, same Bat time same bat Channel, Batman!!!!!!!!🤗🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
Best film ever shot there was Invasion of the Body Snatchers - 1956

Is the Mansion used as 'Stately Wayne Manor' still in existance ?. The property can be seen in some of the opening scenes in certain episodes. Someone wrote the place was burnt down...I'd love to see the Mansion if it's still alive...
It's still there. The report of it burning down was a reporting mistake for another Tudor style mansion in the same neighborhood that did burn down.
Out of the cave with neck-break speed ? He He !
😁
I never thought about it before but the Gotham City / outskirts of the Adam West ‘60’s series was a distinctly _west coast-looking_ city and locale, rather than the common east coast flavour of Batman media . . . 🤣
Bat Tunnel?
Used in end of Searchers
Where did you get the shirt?
This was originally filmed in 2007 and I knew a guy in New Jersey who made them before we ever had 66 Batman licensed products. Fan-made. I wish I still had it.
Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.
Another childhood fantasy crushed...
;)
This cave/tunnel doesn't look big enough to hold all the Batcave equipment, (except for the Batmobile), that was in the TV show. Were they originally shown in a different location? If so, where? 🦇
The bat cave was in the brady bunch house.
The cave was shot originally at Fox Studios for the pilot and then moved to Desilu Culver Studios (now owned by Amazon).
cool
It's not a state park, it's a municipal park. The land was donated by D.W. Griffith to the City of Los Angeles.
It's notated in my description as a correction already. But thanks for the input.
