    Thank you for cleaning up other peoples mess. I have been doing this myself for the past 30 years when I go fishing. The problem is that the people who leave the trash behind are trash themselves! We are never going to change that. Keep up the good work and thanks again.

    Thank you for the great videos, and you speaking out about trash pick up, my buddy's and I live in middle Tennessee. We don't fly we off-road in rail buggies and we do the same with trash, everywhere we go we ALWAYS come out with trash. It helps to preserve a place a place to ride. Been watching your and others like Trent's Vlog, some day would love trying the flying thing someday. Thank you again, and America we need do a better job with the trash! Who hasn't stopped anywhere and said "THAT'S awesome! And look down an see trash and walk away!!! Please pick it up.

    EXCELLENT state of mind!!! as a former "River Rat" boater for many years,I got so sick of ppl trashing what small beach areas we have along the Ohio river and others..I regularly brought a few bags of "beer trash" in on a Runabout that was already limited on space,such as yourself...but as usual,it takes just a few to ruin it for A LOT....THANK YOU FOR TRYING!..:)

    Where is the Flying Cowboys Task Force? Bless you for doing the right thing. It's a shame that so many thoughtlessly trash the world we all inhabit and leave it to the few who love the land we all must share. I love to watch you milk the flaps and skillfully maneuver that Carbon Cub in and out of tight places. I'm appropriately jealous. Keep up the good work my friend and keep doing what you're doing.

    Never heard of the term #HeavierOut, but many of us life-long boonie lovers have embraced the policy of leaving places we go better/cleaner than when we arrived. When we're going somewhere there's a hut or other significant improvement, we leave whatever equipment and supplies will be helpful to keep the place awesome, and make the lives of future visitors easier and more pleasant. Love that you're even willing to go on these expeditions when you're alone. An extra high five and praise for you Cory.

    Years ago my nephew would bug me to take him backpacking into the woods. I told him I would when he got to be a little bigger. When he turned 12 I took him out for a weekend trip. When we packed up and started to head back, I reached into my pack and pulled out 2 green garbage bags. He looked at me confused, because we had cleaned up out campsite completely, even picking up junk that others left behind. He asked what they were for, I told him all that junk on the trail in needs to be picked up. Naturally he said "but we didn't put it there". I told him that it didn't matter if other people are pigs, and that I don't like "MY" forest full of garbage. So we took 3 times longer getting back to the truck that day than if we just hiked out, with two half full bags of every conceivable bit of trash (McDonalds wrappers when the nearest is 150 miles away??). I always cleaned up on the way out every time I went alone, filling a bag full of other peoples trash, but now I had a helper. A helper who complained, but a helper none the less. Fast forward 3 years, and the entire family is at a local park for a family picnic. As we were walking out at the end of the evenings outing, a person ahead of us went to toss a bit of trash into a garbage can, and they missed the can by a mile. My nephew walks up to the trash, picks it up, tosses it into the can and says "I hate it when people toss trash on "MY" park". I was never more proud of him, the lessons he learned backpacking stuck and now a few years later, he is still disgusted by other peoples trash being dumped in "his" land. He is like his uncle, and instead of complaining and walking by, he picks it up and disposes of it properly. You guys give me a great big smile watching you do the same, and for the same reasons. Because some people are lazy, and it just needs to be done. #HeavierOut

    Absolutely stunning views and safe flying Cory, even if you're #HeavierOut. See what I did there? All puns aside It's nice to see the Flying Cowboys showing that flying isn't always about STOL, flying high/low, fast or slow. It takes a greater responsibility & respect to be a true pilot. Remember to #HeavierOut responsibly.

    Being a Geocacher we call it CITO, Cache in, trash out. We always have a trash bag with us to pick up in the woods or wherever we are caching. Great that you folks to do that, my grand son lives in CO, and travels to Utah all the time for photo shoots and to just enjoy the sunrise/sunsets and he is never happy about trash or people in wrong area with the 4 by 4s!

    You rock Cory ! , cleaning up the environment is everyone's responsibility and it's easy , we just take the trash home that we made at the destination. When we are out in our kayaks on Moreton Bay (Qld) we find all sorts of rubbish floating by, so we collect it and put it the kayaks for the paddle back to shore.

    I applaud your very commendable action in not littering & indeed clearing up other peoples crap. After assuming the back country was kind of virginal regarding human activity, I was surprised & disappointed to see the amount of human detritus left lying about. Looking after & taking care of our environment needs to be taught at school as it does not seem to come naturally to some. I am extremely touchy about littering, I once on found a load of kitchen garbage dumped on our lane, on examination I found mail circulars amongst it, I gathered it all up took it round to the address, rang the doorbell then emptied the entire contents, including soiled nappies/dypers up the length of the hallway, saying I don't crap on your doorstep, don't crap on mine! Grrrrrr!

    #HeavierOut - I like it. Great that you and the Flying Cowboys are pushing this. I grew up shooting and we always had to pick up brass. We reloaded most of our rifle and handgun stuff, but early on my grandfather made it clear to us we were to pick up our shotgun shells as well...even though we didn't reload those. Everyone should pick up after their recreational activities regardless of what they are. Great video and can't wait to see the next one! On that note I'd love to see a video of how you got into aviation and how your path led you to bush flying!

    I was a big time Jeeper. (I am old now and can’t get in my CJ-5) We took our rigs deep in the woods and got a car that was pushed over a cliff. We took it to Forest Service, it was on their land and they were the closest law enforcement. They charged us with EPA crimes of moving, spreading and possessing toxic waste without a license, battery and tires. They filed to seize our trucks, trailers and Jeeps. We had to get a lawyer, my dad. He got it dropped first day in pretrial but had we not out numbered the FS officer and me being a cop, he planned to take our stuff.
    Be care full what you move, it can become costly.

    Maybe it will get better now that they have shutdown the shooting over there Cory. I love to go shoot but it is a mess out there on that side of the lake....and at times dangerous.

    I think I know where that is, are you basically up in the hills over Little Cove? I'm not sure if you said where you were exactly but that area looks CRAZY familiar, like I KNOW I've been up there shooting years ago. I take my brass with me, and I "mine" lead from the hills to make my own bullets, so I'm ALWAYS #HeavierOut, usually about 20-30 lbs heavier.

    Do you ever see Power Paragliders flying in your area???? Dell a well know PPG Pilot lives in your area.

      @flycory  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SuperDell? I've heard of him but never met him. He's sort of infamous around here. ;)

    • @channingburton7476
      @channingburton7476 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea...he can come off a bit wacky. Not very many people like him in the PPG world...but he is a damn good pilot if not one of the best in the world. About 7 years ago when I was thinking I might loose my FAA Medical due to Mitral Valve Repair Surgery I took up Paramotoring to keep me in the air, well that and Skydiving my primary form of fun for more than 37 years. Dell was my instructor, was extremely nice guy, but can come across to many as....well can't repeat the comments here. Hope to have the opportunity to meet you sometime early next year when I fly down your way to pick up a Best Tug from your good friends, Mark and Mike. Start Safe, Stay Safe

    As a photographer, shooter, outdoorsman, etc, I always try to leave a place cleaner than when I got there. I hate it when I can't find all my brass after shooting, but usually manage to collect a good portion of other peoples leavings. Glass is the worst, why shoot glass? cans or plastic bottles are so easy to pack out. Have some respect.

      Tipover and Stump are both on private land. There are signs (all shot to hell) near the road you see below the ridgeline. Sucks! Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed it!

    #Heavierout. Maybe its time to make up something to leave for others to remind them to pack it out. I do the same thing every time I go out into the woods. It’s just being a good human. Thanks for spreading good karma to the flying community. #muchrespect
