Wow! I was completely happy w my S.H. Figuarts one after my peg mod...but this is darker and better looking. It’s bulkier than the Dawn of Justice version. I need it! Looks like the cape could be swapped out easily.
Rick Nuhfer Looking at it now, you can see it’s soooo much more movie accurate than the SH figuarts. I don’t even think SH put much effort to making it look like the JL Batman. They gave him the same suit with the armoured plates and all that but it’s much more cartoony overall. Cowl looks different, no alt head sculpts, muscle mass is more exaggerated and cartoony etc

Cant wait for this figure to arrive, I pre-ordered it the second I saw it. I have been waiting for someone to review it, I love that head sculpt and the body looks bulkier than the BVS Batman. The only thing I am kinda bummed about is the cape I like the material I just wished they kept the wire in it for pose ability other than that I’m really excited for this figure.

This looks great, but with limited display options I dunno about having so many Batflecks, but it def looks better than the SHF one.
nice review. Mafex should've include a parademon's gun as accessory since batman predominantly used it in the movie rather than the grenade launcher.. overall it's a good looking figure. Cheers!

Glad to see Mafex finally heading in the right direction now!!!!! In most areas, this figure I feel is an improvement from the BvS one. I kinda have to agree that the cape is lacking bendy wire, but the much better material makes up for it
My only concern is the tight fit on the other interchangeable hands, but it’s an easy fix

I was looking at a detailed picture of batman weapons and those "bat o rangs" are considered "bat darts". The BatoRang is 2-3 times larger, like a boom a rang. The bat darts are suppose to be small enough to fit inside his belt pouches.. Anyway, thought I would point that out.. If I'm wrong, I stand to be corrected. lol

The price of Mafex figures is a little ridiculous. Yes, Mafex has made improvements to their figures but they still aren’t where they need to be to justify that price tag.
There shouldn’t be any issues with these figures at all for 80$.
The cape should’ve been better material with wires included, the cowl should’ve looked less round, and the paint job on the heads could look a little more realistic like Mezco figures.
No excuses, 80$ for an action figure is just ridiculous

Love the aesthetic look of this figure.. I noticed you did't mention any looseness in the joints, are any of the joints loose on this guy, or do they feel like they might become loose over time? I'm very skeptical when it comes to mafex as most of us are. Good review tho man, seriously contemplating this one. ^_^
Jay Mattick no loose joints and as of now nothing has gotten loose on me but you never know with time owning it but that goes for any figure
That's true, the only thing that concerns me before spending $80+ on this guy is the quality of the joint articulation.. I have figuarts figures more than 5 years old that still hold their joints very well, whereas I have mafex figures just a couple of years old that are falling apart on me. There is a clear difference in quality in the plastic these two company uses and that is my concern.. So far I've only seen 'KenOhwee' have problems with this figure, his chest articulation was very loose, to me that's like buying a mezco with loose articulation for $80+. Thankfully he didn't seem too sad about it but I would of been bumbed man.. It makes these mafex figures a huge gamble in my eye's when you look at the percentages. I am still leaning in on this guy but I might wait to see if S.H figuarts give us a Tactical suit batman and get that instead. Do you know if Figuarts are planning anymore justice league batman figures? I'm sure they have another one up their sleeve..
No loose joints on mine. The double jointed knee that makes these figures so hard to stand up is the tightest knee joint I've ever felt on a Mafex. And no loose chest like KenOhwee's figure
This makes me want to sell my SHF version.

Neither of them are good figures.
BvS Batman is way too skinny, usually has screwed up eyes depending on how bad luck you have with QC and has a horrible orange skin tone with limited arm articulation.
The JL Batman has a horrible looking cowl that is innacurate to the film because the head is too round, and the neck is too thin. The cape has no wire in it and the material doesn’t even drape because it’s too thick.... which makes posing an absolute nightmare.
And the JL batman is still too skinny
Personally, I would save yourself 90 dollars and wait for the inevitable Mafex Batfleck 3.0 where they finally get it right

Quick question man. Do you think the increased price is worth it? The average was around $60 then they upped it to that $80 to $100 range. So is the quality upped?
Chris Flynn they still cost around $60- $65 if yoh buy from Japan it's the us retailers that upped the prices. But mafex seemed like they actually did step up their game starting in 2018. I think that's why their prices went up cause they upped their quality

I dont get why they put bendy wire in the last batman but not this one
Dark Surge who knows I heard mixed things on the superman with the bendy wire maybe it was just a decision from them based on feedback
You're kind of always split down the middle with bendy wire capes. I personally don't like them but sometimes they are effective.
Could be because of the material of the cape
JoJo Red Bendy wire is hit or miss. It’s not as natural if you wanna have a straight flowing cape that moves naturally. It’s good if you wanna pose it for a wind swept look or pose him as if he’s jumping from a building or something but there are ways around having bendy wire. If you’ve got extra stands hangin around you can just use a couple to hold his cape wherever you want it
I feel like they didn't put it cause the material of the cape being heavy possibly but who knows

Toto Bersek Yes, there are knows for that but now since the mafex darth vader rogue one no qc issue have be found (except for figures like mafex bane or joker 2.0 who got interchangeable arms)

This JL Batman doesn't feel as cheap as their previous figures. Joints don't pop off easily and they aren't loose. Since 2018 started their figures have been much better from the 2.0 joker to bane and now this Batman. So i think mafex actually stepped it up starting in 2018.
DarDevil 19 I don't have the SH figuarts and yet not this Mafex, I have only the DC multiverse version.
I asked this cuz I saw another review from (D Amazing) and all my hopes evaporated...in his review, the arm and the belly pop off easily...
I thought this figure will solve the problem of Mafex issues, that they reinforced the tight joints...I have to decide myself because I want a solid Batfleck figure, so plz tell me:
Which one is solid ? The SH figuarts or this Mafex ? From pictures and reviews, I found them good, I know this Mafex is seems to be better but I want a solid figure. You have them both, you can tell me
I own both. The joints on the Mafex are very tight and they do not pop off easily. However if you apply a reasonable force pushing say backwards on an arm it does pop off but it's nothing like their old TDK Batman or TDK Batman 2.0 where as soon as you touch it it falls out.
As for the SHF, it's not as nice looking a figure... but you won't have any issues with joints popping off unless you're pushing hard enough as if you were attempting to break the figure.

TheHunterAnk It looks like Mezco made a smaller version of the hot toys tactical suit, very cool. I got mine on pre order. What do you mean by breakage?
AZMATIK Breakage as in Mafex Figures intend 2 break a lot that’s why I only stick with Mezco & SHF for some lines.

Haven't heard of any breaks yet but you never know with Mezco. But in all seriousness the joints seemed pretty good on this batman

I don't know man. The suit looks way darker then it was on screen. Either it's your lighting or his grey on his suit is so dark I can barely make out the bat symbol on his chest. There's also some weird paint effects going on. His neck has glossy pieces on it but the head has a very strong Matt finish to it. It's a step up from figuarts having said that the pose-ability looks less . There also seems to be some weird gaps in between the torso pieces and the joints are super glossy when the body pieces aren't and it just makes them stick out like a sore thumb. It's a improvement over figuarts but it's not perfect. I would like to be able to pose him doing more crouching stuff and this batman just doesn't look suited for that. But in he seems to do power triangle stances extremely well.
thefatman69fude if your looking for a batman able to crouch revoltech amazing yamaguchi is making a batman figure that can crouch well in the promo shots though we know how the amazing yamaguchi marvel figures are...

Not really.
The JL head sculpts are too small for the BVS neck they don’t go on properly.
However, these headsculpts will fit on the neck from the BvS Knightmare Batman because that neck is skinnier than the one that is used on the regular BvS batman.
The necks can also be swapped between Knightmare Batman and regular BvS batman...
Then you can put on the JL batman heads and voila

Yeah in certain lighting he’s almost black. Works for me cause i prefer an all blackbatman in the live action films but if you really like that classic look i can see why you’re like dammit
