I think the hardest part for me in this scene was Aerith’s acceptance of her fate and she knows it doesn’t matter if Cloud tries to save her, but she is grateful anyway.
@@deliahy1536 Because whether he does or not, she knows they still arrive at the same "end" further down the road. In other words, it might be better if he chooses to let her go now, so that he doesn't have to go through the eventual pain he's going to experience. But at the same time, in this moment, he knows he feels he has to save her and would regret it if he didn't. So in her mind it's more "Do what you feel is the right choice, so that you don't eventually regret it later". She's more concerned with sparing him pain in any way she can rather than her being saved or not.
Many of us lost Aerith in our youth, teens for me, and it had an affect on us. I lost my wife before this game launched to cancer a mere 9 months after our only child was born. I felt that loss all over again in this scene. I couldn’t help but to feel the absolute heart ache. I hope in the up coming game we get the chance to put right which once went wrong for Aerith.
The most haunting and most beautiful scene in the entire game. Because of this scene and your performance I've moved from a Tifa fan, to an Aerith fan. Without a shred of a doubt. The bond between Aerith and Cloud is just so obvious. Her affect on him was immediate, and that determination in his voice saying he's going to save her. But my most favourite line of that scene for me personally was Cloud saying, "Do I get a say in all this?" for me it just shows how far he's come emotionally due to Aerith. Nobody else has that affect on him. He's always brushed off feelings and caring about people but in that moment he just stopped pretending and was so openly vunerable, letting her know how he feels. I just think it was so emotionally perfect
Cloud fell in love with Aerith. It was hard to see in the OG 1997 game without voice acting a lot of cut content but in the Remake, the original intent of the creators is clear as day.
You know, I was hard into Tifa back when. The Remakes made me see how this story is about Cloud and Aerith. Their relationship is the most important in all of the games, well, except CC. Tifa's is there to help Cloud, which in turn is doing it all because of Aerith. People get hung up on the whole childhood crush thing. They love to use the Lifestream scene as their most special moment. All that scene tells us is that their friendship thing was a lie, they basically start again from scratch right there. And even after all of that, all cloud does is for Aerith. In OG. In AC. In the Remake. In Rebirth. It all revolves around those two.
Briana is such a wonderful VA. You can tell she’s genuinely connected to Aerith, and understands her thoughts and feelings. Look at how she held her breath when Aerith warns Cloud not to fall in love with her, and how she breathes out when Cloud attempts to hold onto her before she disappears. I don’t wanna get into the Cloti and Clerith debate, and quite honestly it doesn’t matter who Cloud ends up with because both Tifa and Aerith are amazing female protagonists. However, I can’t say enough how much I love this scene in the game. I’ve watched it so many times because of the feelings it gives me. It’s bittersweet and also a bit hopeful. At this point, Cloud having some sort of romantic feelings for Aerith is quite believable considering their interactions and journey together, and you can tell that Aerith is very fond of Cloud and changing him for the better. Since we’re emotionally invested in their relationship and their fate, then we can say the developers did a good job.
I think Aerith is a much better fit for Cloud. Take note on how he interacts with both girls, what kind of effect each of them have on him. When Cloud has a moment with Tifa, most of the time he retreats into his shell and is reserved and distant. Not saying that it's her fault, but that's just how Cloud is when he's with her. But when he's with Aerith, well... i think the game makes it *very* clear how good Aerith is at melting the icy barriers Cloud puts up to push others away. He's much happier when he has alone time with Aerith compared to when he's alone with Tifa, probably due to his traumatizing past and how he feels he let Tifa down when they were kids.
@@Da1337Man Although I do prefer and enjoy the dynamics between Cloud and Aerith’s relationship better, much of Cloud and Tifa’s relationship is yet to be fleshed out as we’re only partway through the game. Tifa, in her own way, has also helped Cloud come out of his shell. The thing is, she spent more time with him at the beginning when he was still warming up to Avalanche and his icy exterior was already chipping off. However, after meeting Aerith, that seemed to accelerate. Like I said, I hate to get into these “debates” but I think it’s noteworthy to give credit where it’s due. Both ladies have given Cloud a lot of support, even if we prefer one or the other.
@@Da1337Man yeah, that explains a lot in Advent Children. Although Tifa and Cloud lived together, he kept distance away from her, and the people who he fought battles with.. like a trauma that still sticks with you and you need self-healing. No wonder he shelter himself at Church in the slums, just so he can get healing by sensing Aerith's presence there..
Yeah, all the developers did a amazing, fantastic, beautiful, job on this game. Voice actors, did amazing jobs the art style, they made the best game I ever played.
@@Da1337Man i do agree cloud is more comfortable with aerith than tifa but thats on account of tifa actively rejecting his soldier persona while aerith validates it. for example, aerith falls cloud catches her and she says "my hero!" vs cloud falls tifa catches him and she tells him that he has to play a better hero. despite this soldier persona being born to impress tifa, he's managed to impress everyone except her (jessie calls him a hero too). another example, after saving johnny, tifa tells him he's scaring her and the camera zooms in on his eyes (this foils with the scene from CC where aerith tells zack his eyes arent scary, even the same soundtrack plays in both scenes) this is her rejecting his so called soldier-eyes because they reflect his soldier persona. while with aerith at the playground, she says "wow, your eyes" again validating his fake self. so it's not a surprise that his feelings would shift from the girl who made him promise to save her when she's in a pinch to the girl who makes him act as her bodyguard, because the first one doesn't seem to need him anymore. even aerith takes note of how his feelings for her aren't real in this video.
Probably my favorite scene from the whole game, the music, dialogue and delivery is perfect, extremely emotional, and the foreshadowing just brings it a whole other level
Watch the scene again without the music. May not be completely different, but it really let's you absorb the night time ambience and the nature sounds. Really makes the scene more personal and intimate imo
Be in love with who? Tell me th-cam.com/video/K4CT_BBi4HE/w-d-xo.html Even on the other game, Cloud said Tifa was HIS FRIEND. Cloud could said to Aerith “Hey, Who said I love You? I love tifa” LOL But When Aerith ask Cloud is Tifa his Girlfriend, Cloud said NO! Loud and Clear LOL
The Phantom Show it wasn’t because it does NOT SUPPORT your SHIP LOL The DIALOGUE SCRIPT THAT CLOUD SAID NO when He asked by Aerith whether TIFA WAS HIS GIRLFRIEND is CANON.
Me Before playing Remake: You're ok, you're ok. It's been 23 years. You'll see her again, you'll be strong. You'll be fine. Me when the line drops: GOD F**KING DAMMIT!!!!!
Briana's reaction was emotional, as expected. When the two of them looked up to the beautiful sky and Aerith started talking about how everyone eventually dies...my heart! The music too. Cloud/Aerith scenes are the best. I love how deep and meaningful they are. Depth in a relationship FTW. Why can't Cloud fall in love with Aerith? Look no further than the lyrics to "Hollow" for why not.
Saddest part about her looking at the sky is that she prays after-same exact pose except for the kneeling when she actually died in the other game. So she was almost reenacting her death in a way as she was talking about dying.....my heart :(
@@koosh88215 it was beautifully done. I think her looking at the sky/departed souls from the sector 7 plate fall... Saying a prayer for them and also able to connect/feel her eventual death with them/ the lifestream. It's a truly powerful and poetic scene.

Vanacloud there’s three different resolutions you can get at the end of chapter 14 depending on decisions you made in previous chapters. one with aerith, one with tifa, and one with barrett. this is the aerith one (imo the best one heh)
@@DrakeLimOfficial thats bullshit because after she dies his heart literally shattered and in every other game they try to bring these together somehow
@Grailsarvas I like this theory. I don't think real Aerith knows everything that's going to happen because there are still things that surprise her. If she does, it's only little glimpses like the ones Cloud has.
@Grailsarvas Cloud does not have Zack's memories. That's a BIG misconception, MANY people believe that, but it's NOT the case. You need to play (or re-play maybe) the Original to understand. Cloud explain himself to the others why and how he played a SOLDIER role that was not completely him, but not completely someone else either. This is what Cloud said : "I made up the STORY about what happened five years ago and me being a SOLDIER. I left my village looking for glory, but never made it into SOLDIER... I was ashamed of being so weak. Then I HEARD this story from my friend Zack... And I created an illusion of myself made up of what I had SEEN in my life... And I continued to play the charade as if it were true. But weak people... like me, get lost in the whole thing. The combination of Jenova cells, Sephiroth's strong will, and my own weakness are what created me. Everyone knew that. I'm... Cloud. ... the master of my own illusionary world." So he heard Zack's story of what happened in Nibelheim AND he was also there so he saw a lot himself. His memories and personality are still his.
@Grailsarvas Cloud never have any of Zack memory nor personality nor anything else other than Buster Sword, the only thing his mind fabricate is only SOLDIER first class thing due to trauma and the fact he's disappointed that he never got into SOLDIER
Interesting that just as Aerith says that the love Cloud feels isn't real leads to Cloud not being able to grab her hand simultaneously.....as she's saying it's not real he realizes she's not tangible-shes out of reach. Just like how she was just out of reach in the OG game when he was so close yet so far away from saving her : ( she knows what's to come and says the loves not real because it becomes physically cut off from Cloud when she dies. She's trying to save him from the heartache while also breaking her own heart at the same time... Ahhh the feels
The remake was my first FFVII experience. Along with many other reasons, this scene, and Aerith alone is the reason I jumped straight to the 1997 original and Crisis Core, as well as Advent Children. Finished all of these within a few mere weeks. I was expecting to at first just be along for the ride with this and the upcoming remakes, but I have been in such a different way. FFVII is right now my favorite thing I've been through this year. Aerith is such a strong core to everything here and it's scenes like this that make me want to play the whole game all over again. I have a major crush on Aerith for every possible reason, but aside from that, she might very well be among the strongest female characters in gaming. When I think of FFVII, Aerith, along with her theme, always pops up first.
They did a great job with Aerith in the remake. She's so much more fleshed out, that it made me care about her as much as Tifa now. Before it was only Tifa. However, I wish they gave her the same quality as they did with Aerith, but I'm still happy how it turns out. Hopefully they do her justice in the later parts.
@@charleskulvet4911 Square did a wonderful job on everything. I'm very thankful that I went back after finishing the remake to gather all the rest of the past FFVII timeline. I was initially planning on playing only the remakes, but this game struck me so strongly that I had to know the rest of the original pieces that I missed, especially considering that Square definitely seems to be planning out some new cards with the future timeline. I'm very glad to be on the same boat now as many others who have played the original.
I'm glad the remake can introduce people like you to this amazing universe to the point where you want to spend more time with it through the compilation. Welcome on board 😉 (Also there's some interesting novels to read : - "on the way to a smile" covers the 2 years between ff7 and AC - "the kids are alright" focuses on the Turks and new characters that includes Kyrie - "the maiden who travels the planet" covers the story of aerith in the lifestream between her terrible moment and the end of ff7 og Enjoy 👍
@@daverogers7819 Agree to an extent. I still feel that the original is has a grittier (more impactful) atmosphere. FF7 was a depressing and tragic steampunk, but also beautiful and mysterious. That is the core of FF7 to me. Since you played the original, notice how scarier Cloud's headaches is in the original compared to remake--it made Cloud look extremely schizophrenic. But the remake laid better foundation in terms of romance potential---and expressing emotions. They both have their pros and cons, I still prefer the pacing in the original, as the new one introduce a lot of elements a bit too quickly. I pray to God Zack stays dead though, otherwise its as if his manly sacrifice never happened--it will ruin the entire story because it started from that one sacrifice. The rain at the end of remake made me so hopeful, however, as its a signal that they are staying true to the original and not crisis core. Hopefully he dies the exact same way where he got shot like a dog by three basic grunts. This would be absolutely beautiful. No convoluted timelines..
@@fenrir9784 That sounds cool, I'll have to look into those! Thanks! Indeed, FFVII just totally swayed me to an extent where I just had to explore some of the compilation. I'm very glad I did. And to think I was just gonna initally play loosey-goosey purely off the remakes. I eventually decided that that wouldn't be enough.
It blows my mind how far video games have come so fast. Just look at Cloud's genuine reaction to her touching his face at 3:02 - it seems so real. And to think that we'll be getting Remake Part 2 on NEXT GEN. I can't handle it.
@@flarmie The ps4 is already near the end of its life span at 7 years and it’s obvious that FF7R as beautiful of a game as it is, needed to make a lot of graphical sacrifices to run as smoothly as it does on ps4.

It's been a minute since I've played FF7 Remake. The way Cloud and Aerith talk to each in this moment is an accurate representation of how people communicate to other when you know they've made a difference in each others lives. The connection between Cloud and Aerith is deep, heartwarming, and real. Cloud loves Aerith, Tifa, and Jessie for all different reasons. Tifa he's known the longest. Aerith came out of nowhere and opened his eyes up to the world. Cloud is so gaurded and Aerith knows how to disarm him. He feels safe with her emotionally. Everytime a girl hugs or touches Cloud he's not use to receiving that kind of love or affection. It's beautiful how he opens up in moments like this.
I think i repeated this scene a hundred times already because of the emotions on this scene was just so powerful and each line of the characters has that deep meaning and also this is the first time i saw cloud well atleast here in the remake opens up and tells you actually what he feels at the moment and assert himself to someone. Definetly the most powerful scene👍
The fact that Cloud is proactive about his feelings for Aerith while she is still alive is a huge change in the remake. The in the original FF7, Cloud is never proactive about his feelings for Aerith until after she is gone. The first time I saw that cut scene in the City of the Ancients where she is praying, Cloud looks at her and my thought at the moment was "Cloud just realized he loves her" and then 7 seconds later she's gone. It just about ruins Cloud. This wasn't bias because I thought Aerith was being a bit of a jerk by flirting with Cloud so hard when it was obvious that Tifa had feelings for him. Later I always got Aeris affection points because it's just a better story. Aerith in remake teases Cloud a lot but she doesn't flirt with him as overtly. Maybe by offering the date and grabbing onto his arm while she calls him her bodyguard. OG Aerith was having Cait Sith predict their compatibility and asking Marlene about Cloud to see if he would make good boyfriend material.
Really makes me wonder about what they're gonna show us in the next game. Is he going to find out about her fate, how will he, when will he? And if he does, how protective and desperate will he get? If "Hollow" is anything to go by, we'll get some gut-wrenching scenes, and since they foreshadowed the Sleeping Forest scene, I'll be looking forward to that one the most
MagicalGirl4 I actually think they won’t cover her death in part 2 they will probably do it in part 3 honestly because this remake only covered a tiny bit of the original newcomers barely know about Barret backstory or Reds which they still need to cover heck they even don’t know about Sephiroth or Zack but we don’t know because they are probably gonna change some stuff up but that’s why I played the original before I played the remake and I won’t lie I never thought I would love it as much as I did
@@magicalgirl4 they're already hinting that cloud is getting glimpses of her death. at the very start of chapter 9 when he sees aerith, he has one of his visions and a tear comes. the implications of that are pretty big
My theory is that this Aerith that visited Cloud, is the Aerith from the original FF7 timeline. She’s coming back to visit Cloud to give him a warning and to give him perspective on what their intertwined fates hold. Really changes how you interpret her lines and why she’s saying what she’s saying. Heartbreaking.
@@ereshmi6908 I wouldn't be surprised if THAT scene ends up different in part 2. I realized that the "remake" in the title doesn't mean just an update, but an actual remake of their destiny. Hence the whisperers. They're manipulating how the story goes, making sure it goes the way they want it too.
@Aaron9 they've foreshadowed her death because we already knew it was coming. But when Cloud kills the giant whisper and Sephiroth talks about how he has seven seconds to change fate... well, I think destiny is in for an upset.
3:15 But although it pained cloud to hear her words He know aerith well enough that she would not say those words to hurt him 3:25 And thus he was not afraid to declare and he was taking her back 3:31Here’s to their bond just getting stronger
dude i cried when i was 11 when aerith died back in the days i thought i fucked up somewhere , and now at 33 you gave me goosebumps in that scene , the f*** is wrong with me .
Nothing at all, when a peice of media can make you emotional like that it is a sign of true impact, and shows that that it is a true work of art. To me that is what story driven gaming is meant to be, whether it's making you son because of an emotional, and beautiful scene like this, makes you get so invested into a plot that you genuinely feel for the protagonist, takes your breath away by the amazing images, or even makes your heart race from fear of the monster around the corner. It has done its job, never feel ashamed of a game brings you to tears, it's just means you can appreciate what it is meant to be.
Imagine how amazing it would be if after being able to save Aerith, her and Cloud go to Elmyra's house to give her the good news her daughter survived, she would be so happy and I think I'd honestly cry tears of joy if that happened, it would be the opposite of how things turned out in the original ending and I would absolutely love it
I can easily say this is the most impactful and "OMG...." moment of the game for me. It's such a huge call back to the original and foreshadowing at the same time. You also see Sephiroth's feather right before the "Everyone dies eventually," line. Chills..
@@ebrahimkhodie688 can say the same to you. Clouds resolution is about love and some shippers tend to ignore that fact. And they ignore that this is Clouds resolution NOT Aeriths. @@GooseGumlizzard Unless Aerith tells them that she will die, then they might save Aerith this time. But considering how secretive Aerith is about the future, I doubt it. Cloud has fallen for her. He knows it. Aerith knows it. I know it. We all know it. It’s the best moment in the game! I’m surprised Briana didn’t comment on how Cloud instantly tried to grab Aeriths hand. What would Cloud have done if he could?
@Caio Coelho my boy has got it bad for the flower girl!! This was his resolution scene and the theme is love. He gonnnnnn go and save her..."im coming for you" my boy was assertive and his resolve is to save Aerith. That says alot.
@Caio Coelho I like to think that everyone has their own Cloud, as the player. So your Cloud may love Tifa because you choose that. My Cloud for an example loves Aerith because I choose her for him. At least for the games that's how the devs like to do so everyone can be happy.
@@keeryn1 Great comment, you are one of the few who really managed to understand the meaning of this love triangle, the player chooses his love interest, and interprets it in his own way, which is why you have things in the plot that favor both girls, but the problem is that this generated a fight for 23 years, of people who do not respect the opinion of another, I do not know if Remake will make a real couple, but I prefer it to continue in the same way, because this is one of the reasons that developers don't make a couple official, so as not to revolt the fan base of one of the girls ...
Aerith knows the truth and wants to spare Cloud the pain of what’s to come. Regardless, Cloud is ready to risk it all for her, even if it changes nothing in the end.
I watched this scene so many times, but I get more emotional each time I watch it. Seeing Briana's reaction made me cry harder. Aerith must be protected at all costs!
I know that line was your favorite, but for me the line "Everyone dies eventually" is my favorite. This just really hit home for me at this point in my life. Life really is fleeting.

@@keeryn1 Or somewhere before her death((( Or when she dies, and he will kiss her, for example, in a dream ... I'm just sure that the kiss of Clerith cannot be avoided , it will be, the question is when
That line alone is just so heartpiercing. This character telling Cloud, telling you, not to fall in love with her. It brings out such a complex emotionality, and part of it is a vulnerable type of anger. You're a little angry that she's denying you this. Even if you didn't like Aerith at all in the game, it's like "Well, why _can't_ I fall in love with you, what if I wanted to?" You don't apparently have that choice, that agency over your own emotions, and the more angry you are about it, the more you realize that you _do_ love her and there's nothing you can do about it. Cloud's scoff is the perfect response.
This is like the coolest stuff ever. Seeing the voice actor of a game PLAY and react to the game. This is just amazing... Thank you for doing this Briana.
This scene has double or even triple bottom (Refering to the original story, mby to the remake ending or mby even to the Crisis Core). Its not just "beautiful scene". Its key scene. And on this one i've cried even more than Briana :D
This is Cloud's resolution btw not Aerith's The team all made a resolution to save Aerith Though Tifa was hesitant, and Barrett was expecting to die lol Only Cloud was confident that they'd get her back and still be in one piece ; v ;)
@@emina102 That makes zero sense. The 3 resolution scenes were meant to give players a Gold Saucer like event during the first part of the remake. It's based on the choices you make during the game. AKA the resolution of your choices. That has nothing to do with the party deciding to rescue Aerith.
She was right about the scene sticking with me. I got this scene the first playthrough. Once I learned how deep the meaning of that scene is, it stuck with me harder. But the line "you cant fall in love with me" stuck with me even before that.
Yeah it’s Cloud’s. If you pay close attention you’ll realize this considering the fact that this Cloud’s dream and Aerith isn’t really here. She’s in the Shinra building at this point. Otherwise this scene would be taking place inside the Shinra building.
@Digi Yaz It's Cloud's. It does not indicate anywhere in the Ultimania that it is Aerith's. In the Chapter description it is also clear that the resolutions (all three) in that chapter are Tifa, Barret and Clouds.

The fact that Cloud loves Aerith, and not Tifa, is one hundred percent . With Tifa in this game, the topic of love was not even raised by Cloud . One compliment that Tifa begged for at the bar, and a flower that Tifa also begged for , he wasn't going to give it to her , and Cloud totally fell in love with Aeriht , his eyes on her , his desire to spend more time, all this is just perfectly visible .
@Lin47885 I'm sure he's already fallen more in love with Aerith than with Tifa . I'm so looking forward to a date with Cloud's golden saucer and Aerith from the original , it'll be perfect . And I want a happy ending for them . For both of them . I want the fate to be changed
You're forgetting that Cloud is heavily influenced by Zack at this point in the story. Aerith literally says it in this scene when she says "even if you think you have (fallen in love), it's not real".
@@cynicalidealist11 She didn 't say that . She said it 's your imagination , translated from Japanese . Cloud didn 't know Aerith , he 's not Zack , he doesn 't have Zack 's feelings , they're two opposite people . All this is confirmed in the original . From Zack, he only has a fake soldier persona + memories of working for Shinra and memories from incidents in his native village. Zack told him stories and Cloud just thinks that he is the main character in these stories . That is all. Cloud has real feelings for Aerith , he loves her , he cares a lot about Tifa , although Zack didn 't know her well . Just if you 're a Cloti , then please don 't make up nonsense

Glad to hear that. Man. I forgot how positive I use to be before my last relationship breakup with my ex girlfriend. I’ve been taking a break from the dating scene for several months. After every girl i liked had the same names lol. Kinda tough and weird how they all had the same names you know. Evelyn and or Avelina. That first Isabel girl was also from my old job, i just recently quit my last job at amazon. Too many memories. Now I’m just home, joined the great resignation. and just been applying for work elsewhere.
Gonna say it right now. Briana White did an amazing job voice acting the character who nobody thought could live up to, and then she nailed that role so hard that the nostalgia fans are like "that's Aerith 100%". Also every gamer regardless of gender was like "I love Aerith too much to let her go". Briana White did an amazing job
Later on, when Hojo says the line in the board meeting, it gave me actual chills. It was the first time that I rushed through a section, because I wanted-or needed-to save Aerith. This game is so unique. It feels like a piece of art. Amazing.
All 3 of these resolution scenes were beautifully done, these characters speaking with Cloud, sharing that moment with him. I appreciate why they made it so that there were three versions of the scene, but in many ways I feel like... for those people who don't explore this game completely, who never see the scenes other than the one they get on their first playthrough... it's a little sad that they miss out on the other options. Whilst I may personally think that Tifa's scene is my favourite, Aerith's is definitely the most emotionally impactful, and it fuels much of the theoycrafting about the game's ending and where the story goes fro here.
Yeah all the scenes are so good and emotional. I'm really excited to see the golden saucer date, I think they are going to blow our minds. And storywise (don't thinking about ships), Aerith's scene is really important, the timetravel or future events knowlege that she has is really confirmed in this scene.
This is the superior scene to the one with Tifa and its definitely the canon one, because no matter how hard you try Cloud will always pick Aerith over Tifa.
@@user-tq3zr9wj8i they all happen during different times of day. Barret's before going to sleep. Tifa's in the middle of the night. Cloud's in his dreams.
Well... This is Cloud's Resolution Scene and not Aerith's. There are 3 RS and it is the resolve of the team go after Aerith... All of them is canon as we all know already, so we have Barret's, Tifa's and Cloud's! So if you go the Aerith route you get Cloud's Resolution Scene! Clerith is CANON!!!!
It's Aeriths resolution scene. Stop spreading nonsense just because you think it supports clerith. Again it's funny who 2 of 3 of these resolution scenes have nothing to do with rescuing Aerith. IamVendel I think it’s Cloud’s resolution scene. The chapter description is “...Enough friends have been already lost and each of them resolves to fight for Aerith safe return” that means it’s Clouds resolve to go save her. He even says “I’m coming to save you” thats his resolve.

4:52 "the motivation behind why she says that, and it all ties into Cloud's backstory and her backstory. And the reason why she says that line, so emotional." Think she might have revealed a bit too much here. Initially, I thought she might be referring to "backstory" as being what happened in the OG, but then she made a distinction a few minutes after this, as she was about to continue with the game, she said it's worth mentioning that for someone who knows her fate from the OG, it can hit differently as well, making it clear that she wasn't talking about what happened in the OG at all when she said it ties into Cloud's backstory and Aerith's backstory. She literally means backstory for what it means, a character's past.
Yea I wasn’t sure what she meant by backstory. But she does say there is a “haunting” motivation why she says that line and that she knew that line would “pierce a lot of people in the heart.” And she doesn’t say it’s worth mentioning. She says she does not want to mention. It seems you’re not comprehending what she said correctly.
@@GOHST13ly www.twitch.tv/videos/647385251?t=3h21m29s "And we're not not gonna mention that one of the reasons why that scene hits so hard is what happens in FF7." She doesn't say she doesn't want to mention it, she says "and we're not not gonna mention."
She's not revealing anything she doesn't even know what will happen to part 2 .. The development for the game started but not voice acting it comes later so what she's saying is only her opinion about the remake of what is happening and atleast almost everyone knows Aerith dies in the OG ..
Play Heart a “backstory” is about a character’s past, not what will happen in part 2 or what will happen in the future... Example of a “backstory” used in a sentence would be “Barrett’s backstory is about what happened in Corel.”
I think she said backstory because... this is not just a remake! This is a sequel to everything we had until remake. She probably knows that but ofc she can't say, so backstory is a good word to say.
Aerith really has the nerve to tell Cloud not to fall in love with her and then proceeds to grab his face and give him the kind of look that one can’t help but fall in love with 💔. I don’t even care about the remake staying faithful to the original at this point, I want them to defy fate.
She will live! Cloud will find his Primised Land because he will be able to save her and he will stop suffering after all these years, they deserve an happy ending where they get married just like Caith Sith predicted!

Considering the fact that you can get different cut scenes depending on the decisions you make, I'd like to suggest the possibility that, for the sequel, the creators might make it so that Aerith's survival depends on certain decisions being made.
Mandy moore passed the aerith torch to her, i didnt like how that other girl in advent children made aerith sound too weak but brianna and mandy moore brought aerith to life
I think the hardest part for me in this scene was Aerith’s acceptance of her fate and she knows it doesn’t matter if Cloud tries to save her, but she is grateful anyway.

Because whether he does or not, she knows they still arrive at the same "end" further down the road. She's more concerned with sparing him pain in any way she can rather than her being saved or not.
yep that was the most touching part.
So damn true the way she says that line is soo haunting and depressing
Many of us lost Aerith in our youth, teens for me, and it had an affect on us. I lost my wife before this game launched to cancer a mere 9 months after our only child was born. I felt that loss all over again in this scene. I couldn’t help but to feel the absolute heart ache. I hope in the up coming game we get the chance to put right which once went wrong for Aerith.
My condolences to you bro, I you get your wish.
So sorry friend, my condolences. I hope we can save Aerith. She saved us so many years ago, it’s time we save her.
I’m so sorry❤️ this is heartbreaking. I couldn’t imagine losing my husband. That’s my worst fear.
Aerith's reaction to Aerith. nice
y e s we love reactions.

@Grailsarvas Hrmm.....Aerith from the Life Stream in the OG? Makes sense.
@Grailsarvas I like this theory. I don't think real Aerith knows everything that's going to happen because there are still things that surprise her. If she does, it's only little glimpses like the ones Cloud has.
Yes, she said that to spare Cloud the suffering but this time he will be able to save her for sure
"This time I will never let you go"
@Grailsarvas Cloud does not have Zack's memories.
That's a BIG misconception, MANY people believe that, but it's NOT the case.
You need to play (or re-play maybe) the Original to understand.
Cloud explain himself to the others why and how he played a SOLDIER role that was not completely him, but not completely someone else either.
This is what Cloud said :
"I made up the STORY about what happened five years ago and me being a SOLDIER.
I'm... Cloud.
... the master of my own illusionary world."
So he heard Zack's story of what happened in Nibelheim AND he was also there so he saw a lot himself.
She didn't say *it's not real" in the original... she said *it's useless" because she know her fate

Agree to an extent.

This is so on point. It's easy to understand that Aerith doesn't want to say that line but what happened in the OG made her say so.
dude i cried when i was 11 when aerith died back in the days i thought i fucked up somewhere , and now at 33 you gave me goosebumps in that scene , the f*** is wrong with me .
There are so many guys like you. I’m one of them.
Imagine how amazing it would be if after being able to save Aerith, her and Cloud go to Elmyra's house to give her the good news her daughter survived, she would be so happy and I think I'd honestly cry tears of joy if that happened, it would be the opposite of how things turned out in the original ending and I would absolutely love it
And Finally, her and Cloud'll be happily reunited for once and forever💖
I can easily say this is the most impactful and "OMG...." moment of the game for me. It's such a huge call back to the original and foreshadowing at the same time. You also see Sephiroth's feather right before the "Everyone dies eventually," line. Chills..
It was at this moment Cloud realized, his love for Aerith.
And no not in a brotherly way. Sheesh.
@Caio Coelho Big fact.
ebrahim Khodie he never ends up with tifa lmao he still loves aerith
@@Gamer-qw2tr then you must be blind my friend :)
@@ebrahimkhodie688 he's right. Cloud loves aerith. This scene proves that and even in the original it's obvious his love for aerith.
@@ebrahimkhodie688 can say the same to you.
Clouds resolution is about love and some shippers tend to ignore that fact. And they ignore that this is Clouds resolution NOT Aeriths. Tifas reolution was about comfort and pain, and Barrets theme was comraderie...all scenes help Clouds character development.
This Game broke my Heart
I'm praying to the gods that Cloud and Aerith will have some kind of reunion in part 3... don't ask me how, or where, or when... I simply need that moment... one last time at least
For the returning players, [SPOILERS] we are SO gonna get our hearts broken again in Remake 2 because of the boost of character development in this remake and especially Briana White playing Aerith's VA to perfection
Yeah, I'm not ready for the inevitable. The way they have handled the characters is going to make it hit so much harder.
@@Xynth22 which is why I think they will make it so you can save Aerith. in 1997 it was just a bunch of polygons and it was still painful. This will be be too much to handle.
I feel like they will include a way she can be saved
@AntChodeny Even if they try to save her, she still needs to die. Aerith knows that's her fate from the very beginning. No matter what she does, she will end up dying eventually
@@GooseGumlizzard Unless Aerith tells them that she will die, then they might save Aerith this time. But considering how secretive Aerith is about the future, I doubt it. She knows that whatever they do, she will still die. Maybe not at the hands of Sephiroth this time, but possibly sacrificing herself for the greater good of the planet.
Cloud has fallen for her. He knows it. Aerith knows it. I know it. We all know it. It’s the best moment in the game!
I’m surprised Briana didn’t comment on how Cloud instantly tried to grab Aeriths hand. What would Cloud have done if he could?
They would have kissed right there and then, that’s what
Caio Coelho ahahah keep dreaming they are so incompatible
@Caio Coelho my boy has got it bad for the flower girl!! This was his resolution scene and the theme is love. He gonnnnnn go and save her..."im coming for you" my boy was assertive and his resolve is to save Aerith. That says alot.
@Caio Coelho I like to think that everyone has their own Cloud, as the player. So your Cloud may love Tifa because you choose that. My Cloud for an example loves Aerith because I choose her for him. At least for the games that's how the devs like to do so everyone can be happy.
@@keeryn1
Great comment, you are one of the few who really managed to understand the meaning of this love triangle, the player chooses his love interest, and interprets it in his own way, which is why you have things in the plot that favor both girls, but the problem is that this generated a fight for 23 years, of people who do not respect the opinion of another, I do not know if Remake will make a real couple, but I prefer it to continue in the same way, because this is one of the reasons that developers don't make a couple official, so as not to revolt the fan base of one of the girls ...
All the voice actors did an amazing job for the remake but you can tell Briana put a lot of work into Aerith. I’m so impressed with how well she did.
I know that line was your favorite, but for me the line "Everyone dies eventually" is my favorite. This just really hit home for me at this point in my life. Life really is fleeting.
And the pose she makes during it that references THAT scene in the original :(
Yes, it really made me think about my own existence lol
My desperate mind: what if cloud successfully grab her hand?
My inner self : 😏 ofc they'll gonna kiss
I thought they were going to kiss when they got close after Cloud said: You need to embrace this moment, right?. It would be so cute XD, I think they are saving it for another time, like in the golden saucer date or the ending if Aerith survives this time.
@@keeryn1 Or somewhere before her death((( Or when she dies, and he will kiss her, for example, in a dream ... I'm just sure that the kiss of Clerith cannot be avoided , it will be, the question is when
This scene alone justifies 10/10 rating easily , 100/10 for me he whole game
That line alone is just so heartpiercing. This character telling Cloud, telling you, not to fall in love with her. It brings out such a complex emotionality, and part of it is a vulnerable type of anger. You're a little angry that she's denying you this. Even if you didn't like Aerith at all in the game, it's like "Well, why _can't_ I fall in love with you, what if I wanted to?" You don't apparently have that choice, that agency over your own emotions, and the more angry you are about it, the more you realize that you _do_ love her and there's nothing you can do about it. Cloud's scoff is the perfect response.
man, i wish they made a Behind the Scenes video of all the voice acting, in studio... secrets were too tight im sure
This is Cloud's resolution btw not Aerith's
The team all made a resolution to save Aerith
Though Tifa was hesitant, and Barrett was expecting to die lol
Only Cloud was confident that they'd get her back and still be in one piece ; v ;)
U mean Tifa is salty?😂
@@elwinbu5926 prolly both salty and scared
It's the Aerith resolution scene. Not Cloud.
@@IamVendel Nope it's Cloud's. Read the chapter info. The resolution scenes are Cloud, Tifa and Barrett's resolution.
@@emina102 That makes zero sense. The 3 resolution scenes were meant to give players a Gold Saucer like event during the first part of the remake. It's based on the choices you make during the game. AKA the resolution of your choices. That has nothing to do with the party deciding to rescue Aerith.
That scene and that dialogue sold me the game.
She was right about the scene sticking with me. I got this scene the first playthrough. Once I learned how deep the meaning of that scene is, it stuck with me harder. But the line "you cant fall in love with me" stuck with me even before that.
I read somewhere that this is actually Cloud's Resolution scene, not Aerith's.
@Digi Yaz Yes, its Aerith's resolution.
Digi Yaz Huhh?? No they didn’t, you must have read a knockoff version. It’s Clouds resolution. It even says in the chapter description lol.
Yeah it’s Cloud’s. If you pay close attention you’ll realize this considering the fact that this Cloud’s dream and Aerith isn’t really here. She’s in the Shinra building at this point. Otherwise this scene would be taking place inside the Shinra building.
@@maoetsu also it's Cloud who makes a decision here, not Aerith
@Digi Yaz It's Cloud's. It does not indicate anywhere in the Ultimania that it is Aerith's. In the Chapter description it is also clear that the resolutions (all three) in that chapter are Tifa, Barret and Clouds.
This is legit lifestream Aerith in this scene. She talks like she has known him for a lot longer then the time you spend in game.
Not just the way the lines are delivered, but the way Aerith looks at him after he says “I’m coming for you”. It’s just too much to bare!
That part really made me both happy and sad. Happy because I love Clerith but sad because, well, we all know what happens.
I just realized how many years of my life I wished for this game to be real. And here we are 😍 Love it all the music the characters gameplay world everything 💕
When i was younger, i had a dream ff7 would get an action style remake. And it came true.
😭😭😭 believe me.. i almost forgot to breath while watching this video
...ive been waiting for this for so long.. wanting to see the reaction of briana about these scene.. and briana didnt failed me .. i know she will react exactly what she did..loved it...😁thank you so much for sharing this vid..😊👍
Who the hell is in here cutting onions again!?
This is Briana's favorite scene of the game :)
Thank you Brianna for amazing work
I want to know what Cloud planned to do when he reached for her hand….. that’s a bold move that he hasn’t done unless someone was in imminent danger
Damn I hadn't thought of that..
I see nobody's gonna mention how that actress says "Aerith" but not "me" like she's treating her character like a real person
Briana is such a gem 🥺 such a perfect voice for Aertih
Plus Ultimania confirms that she says all this because she knows her future, plus Ultimania says that in her heart she would like to say the opposite words. I 'm a fan of Clerith , but I respect Cloti 's sound arguments . So , the fact that Cloud 's feelings for Aerith are not real , this is a fake argument , it was invented just to devalue Clerith .
Yeah areith is the only one who can understand cloud and makes him to be not ashamed of yourself that's why he loves her
you people are weird
She knows she will die, she will sacrifice herself in desperation to save the planet and Cloud needs to save the planet and she knows that. This lovestory is incredible, it will tear you apart while you are going through it but it is still worth the journey and effort.
Thanks. This scene taught me what the meaning of life is, what it really means. Every moment counts. Thanks. I can finally smoothly small talk with my girl crush now. Broke that ice wall between us both.
Got mad respect for you bro
This is amazing... just made my day 💖
Thank you. She already had a boyfriend though so meh. And that was my old job. I also just quit my amazon job. Met this one new girl at my job i just quit, we got along well. But all it took was one argument. Meh. 🤷♂️
“You can’t fall in love with me”. Too late, just did.
Later on, when Hojo says the line in the board meeting, it gave me actual chills. It was the first time that I rushed through a section, because I wanted-or needed-to save Aerith.
This game is so unique. It feels like a piece of art. Amazing.
Zach might have loved aerith, but it’s obvious that even if cloud inherited that feeling, he himself loves aerith more than Zach ever did
That's false.
"You can't fall in love with me, but I will however lovingly touch your face and flirt with you"
All 3 of these resolution scenes were beautifully done, these characters speaking with Cloud, sharing that moment with him.
One of my fav moments of my favourite characters!
This is the superior scene to the one with Tifa and its definitely the canon one, because no matter how hard you try Cloud will always pick Aerith over Tifa.
They're all canon.
@@potatoking4227 no, if u just notice the quest sign it's on aerith in the sewer, it means you should pick her over tifa
@@user-tq3zr9wj8i they all happen during different times of day. Barret's before going to sleep. Tifa's in the middle of the night. Cloud's in his dreams.

When i played ff7 remake, me as cloud really likes aerith! I want cloud to be with aerith. Not tifa. Aerith is so awesome and sweet, and funny.
And yet the chapter description is supposed to apply specifically to these scenes?
I guess the 3 of them standing in Elmyra's kitchen saying they will rescue Aerith doesn't count because it's not clerith enough?
IamVendel I think it’s Cloud’s resolution scene. The chapter description is “...Enough friends have been already lost and each of them resolves to fight for Aerith safe return” that means it’s Clouds resolve to go save her. He even says “I’m coming to save you” thats his resolve.
Yeaasss this is Cloud's resolution not Aerith's! everyone can see it!! But still, there would be someone up there who loves to keep denying about that lol poor em, is it hard that much to accept the truth/facts huh? They make their ownself looked so idiot😂

"And we're not not gonna mention that one of the reasons why that scene hits so hard is what happens in FF7." She was about to move on with the game, when she stopped to mention this as she obviously felt it was worth mentioning. She doesn't say she doesn't want to mention it, she says "and we're not not gonna mention."
That's why I love her. Everything she said in this one scene is so true. I'm not looking forward to that one part at all! 😭
I hope Aerith survives. I want the final scene of this FF7 saga to be Cloud and Aerith getting married at the flower garden.
