Blue sky shining off the hard steel caps of the rails is such a beautiful sight.
Watching in increments. Not all the way through yet but loving it so far! That long straight stretch and flat country from around the 13min mark is awesome. Thanks for posting!
Brilliant - especially on my new acquisition, an 85 inch tv! There goes the kids’ inheritance 😂 Thanks for posting - I love that part of NSW, Goulburn down to Junee. Pity about the abandoned stations at Bowning and Binalong - and Yass Junction’s signal box looks like it’s literally falling to bits!
The gentle rumble of strength of engines really gets me.
OMG a dream come true a loco view into Junee. GODs Railway country thanks heaps
Nice scenic journey really enjoyed the cattle and sheep ranches along this route. If I had to choose another country to reside in I would definitely choose Australia.
Around 1994 was my last ride on that engine. Such wonderful memory, and many other memories that I will always cherish. Thankyou for the video.
Thanks! Love these long-form videos. Great weather for it also! Nice work.
Thank you :)
Hello, Good job.🚂
Have a nice day Greetings from Warsaw Poland
From Goulburn on the down.
Need to send this to some mates at Junee running the Main South - they might start to appreciate what drivers and track workers have to deal with.
Great work on the vid by the way mate - it's good to get a real view of it all.
Absolutely marvellous video! Thanks heaps for sharing, really appreciate it 😎😎😎😎
Glad you enjoyed it!
best best best video no edits, no fast forwards no skipping
Thank you!
@@sydneyanonymous5660 I also like the external sounds too, not many videos like this.
Any idea what the camera is? And if there is a 60fps mode?
Wonderful Aussie country. Thanks 👍
Thank you for the walk. If people master Mars, it will be similar to Australia. I wrote through a translator.
Great video, thanks. I'm not familiar with that part of NSW, so thoroughly enjoyed that - beautiful countryside!
Well done, that was brilliant. Cheers.

Hey mate! Thank you for doing this i will add it to the video so it will add chapters :) Cheers!
Good on you cobber, really great&helpful info👍
Thank you so much for the time line, went back and watched it again useing your references, really made a great video into an Excellent video 👍👌
I drove goods trains for 20 years finally got sick of the shift work looks like pretty level terrain by look of it be a picnic for alight engine was a 44 class would have been nice to see a few pics of the engine.Your video brings back memories for sure it took years to reach driver status now it is much quicker.
42 Class was a GM 16 cylinder, 2 stroke diesel, twin roots blowers, 4 exhaust valve per head/cylinder and intake ports on the cylinder liners. From memory about 2000hp at around 950 rpm??
I used to work at the Diesel Annexe at Chullora Loco, we rebuilt GMs and Alco 12 cylinder but that was back in the '80s, possibly all gone now that everything has been sold off to the highest donor.
Used to travel overnight mail train to Wagga slow slow slow 1970s with foot warmers at least
None of that jarring alternating between concrete and wooden sleepers like you'll find down in Vic...I'm jealous :(
Thank you for a great video, just wondering any way of incorporating a speedo in your videos.
Hi, this is something i would like to do and will continue to work on a way to add it in.
I like you videos was just wondering if you can do one from say Wollongong to Newcastle or to Sydney from either of those towns
I have one from Sydney to Wollongong but will work on doing some Newcastle videos soon
Great video. Thank you. When was the trip done....recently? It looks like autumn/winter. (I lived in Canberra, so am familiar with the region).
6:05 Joppa Junction and the line to Tarago, Queanbeyan and Canberra.
7:52 Hume Highway overpass.
Hi, It was done last month, May 2024. Thank you for the comment :)
@@sydneyanonymous5660 A typically beautiful autumn day in that part of the world. Brings back nice memories. Thanks. 🙂
Is it still 80kph max for light engines?
This movement had a max speed of 80kmph. A restriction I believe due to the wheel profile of the engine. Some light engine movements can do 100+
How about a route map and place names? Good to see real Australian countryside. Thank you.
39:53 Does anyone know what this structure is?
3:17:05 What's this part of the network? How come we swap over to the right track?
At Fish River (39:53), there were watering facilities in steam days, hence that forlorn water tank. It’s one of a few steam era relics along the line we see. Just past Binalong the old water cranes remarkably are still in place.
Will you please go to drive freight train to Albury
Hopefully soon!
Where is the camera positioned? A wonderful video, thank you.
The camera was positioned right next to the drivers window on the exterior of the engine.
@@sydneyanonymous5660 Thanks, SA. You did well, not a lot of wind noise.
4:27:20 , nice "SISTERS" meeting .42107 "THINKS' that she is the new 42104 .
