- Yes, I'm on about Campari again! I really can't stand it. But there are lots of bitter drinks I like. Like this one. A friend said I should call this a Not-groni because of the lack of Campari (she also hates Campari) but I can't see anyone searching for a Notgroni.

Campari must be like the cilantro of booze. It taste great to some and horrific to others, no matter how much they try to like it. Your cocktail has quite a purty mouth.

Did you clarify the first cocktail, then make the second cocktail, then clarify the third cocktail that used the clarified second cocktail?? Cocktail inception! And hey! 200 subs! GREAT WORK!
One clarification for this cocktail but I did actually re-make it for close ups then clarified that (I drank that one during a live stream)

I love Negronis. Great job making our own substitute. Im working on one that doesn't use Campari also.

We have a Campari option in Canada which has the same biter but more flavour. Great video as always

I agree on both counts, Campari is way over the top on the bitterness scale for me. And vodka is just alcohol you drink when you want to dilute the flavour.

I couldnt agree more. Vodka is BS and I hate Campari. It is a bit more palatable when infused with strawberry, but some of that ashtray quality still sneaks in.

I've literally never actually tasted Campari before.. I'm planning to give it a try soon since EVERYONE else seems to use it in cocktail recipes but now I'm scared lol
It depends on your tolerance for bitterness. And you can always substitute it for something milder like Aperol.

Well, as you can tell, I don't like the bitterness of campari. Wikipedia might not be your best source here - I think you would have trouble finding someone working in a bar who treats it the same as bitters.
But its bright red so you just assume it has a normal flavor like cherry or raspberry. Most modern lower class people don't give a crap about 1800s booze made with bark and herbs. We want watermelon.
I'm sooooo disappointed. You know how I feel about campari, and I don't even know what to say. Your home made campari looks very tasty. 60 mil campari, 45 mil vodka, 3 dashes peychauds. Stirred. Served up. Do it NOW!!!

Jokes aside, vodka brings nothing to a cocktail. It's a worthless ingredient.
@@AngryCocktails appreciate the response; I’d say you’re half right. Most vodkas are just rebranded NGS’s. In that case, they are worthless. But there are some very flavorful vodkas that hold their own in both cocktails and neat. To each their own I suppose.
Or, get this, you could get a spirit that has actual flavour and character rather than adding cordial to ethanol and saying it's a good drink.
