Which Cocktail is Better - the Honolulu #1 or the Honolulu #2?
มุมมอง 677 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
When I found these two cocktails, both called Honolulu, I wanted to compare them because their ingredients were so different. When I think Honolulu, I think tropical and really only one of these has that vibe, so I don't know why they're both called Honolulu. Honolulu no. 1 45ml dry gin 10ml orange juice 10ml pineapple juice 10ml lemon juice 10ml sugar syrup 2 dashes bitters Honolulu No. 2 30ml...

The Time to Start Making Your Eggnog is Now!

Aged eggnog is the best eggnog. Check the link at the end for how I make my spiced apple brown sugar syrup. Here's Alton Brown's recipe: altonbrown.com/recipes/aged-eggnog/ Here's my eggnog recipe from last year: th-cam.com/video/SM0CdS5lfmo/w-d-xo.html
Cheap Australian Whisky - Is It Any Good?
มุมมอง 2521 วันที่ผ่านมา
I regularly buy higher end Australian whiskies but there are some cheaper options coming onto the market. I do a blind taste test to see if the cheapest Australian whisky I've seen matches up to some single malts.

@@AngryCocktails Absolutely!! Sounds like a yummy drink Andrew!
Never a bad day experimenting with 2 cocktails! I tend to prefer "juicy" cocktails in the warmer months and stirred stiff and Benedictine in the colder months.
Any excuse for two cocktails
They both sound good, but the shaken one is my favorite, I think. I always prefer blood orange juice over regular orange juice. Looks cooler and usually works better flavor-wise too.
Definitely agree about blood orange juice
Interesting. I'm going to have to check my shelves for ingredients.
It's always fun to improvise
Aussie whiskey is still pretty regulated to specialty shops and mega shops here in the States.
Yeah, the liquor laws in the US really do my head in. Although Starward is becoming more available in the US.
I’ve still yet to try aged egg nog. Really intrigued!
People have very different experiences of it but I love it!
I made this one recently for IG and really dug it!
It's a great flavour!
I need try this. Fernet is definitely the wild card!
Oh yeah, it's in there to get your attention
The king of local just went native. Kudos!!
These berries make such a good syrup!
Recently made this and really enjoyed it.
It's quite a good one
Now I want to get my hands on some lilli pilli.
I got a good crop this year
Love sourcing local fruits for use in anything!
This fruit make such a good syrup!
that's a nice color on it!
This is one of my favourite cocktails of the year!
Brandy you are a fine girl 🍎
For sure
A great drink!!!
The flavours surprised me
I made a four batches of Alton's Aged Eggnog last month -- twelve 32oz Mason jars. Pretty much followed the recipe to the letter, except I made made nine jars with Rum/Bourbon/Cognac and three with Rum only. I had enough extra to make a testing jar I can sample from time to time -- see how it's going. As far as I can tell, it's spectacular... with one qualm. It didn't appear to have as much eggy taste as I would expect. I wonder if I should have used a couple more yolks. But perhaps that's normal. I have no frame of reference beyond the non-alcoholic grocery store stuff. And, as I said, it does taste wonderful, so I can't really complain.
Sounds like a great experiment with a great result. You could always make another batch this year with more eggs as a comparison.
Nice shirt. Good advice!
Thanks! You'll need a good shirt to wear when you're showing off your eggnog!
I like the idea of apple brandy in the cocktail
It makes for an interesting variation.
Zodiac
This is Zodiac speaking
Ya loved aged eggnog and 1-2 months I found to be the ideal spot to save fridge space and be ready
It's all about finding that perfect balance between time and flavor.
I'll be making my batch soon! I did the 1 year tasting last year and still have some to do a 2 year tasting this year! ...depending on how that goes, might do a 3 year old next year! LOLOL (i didnt prefer the 1 year old, 1-2 months is prime!)
I think that's the minimum for a good result
Thank you for the reminder! I have to try this this year!
Get started now before it's too late!
@@AngryCocktails Aaaaahhh!!! <enters panic mode>
Ahh, exquisite.
It's very good
The world surely has gone mad but as long as it taste good, I’m cool with it. 😅
I'm just trying to keep up with the times, it's a strange world indeed. 😅
Beautiful. Thanks mate. Nice vibe
Thank you! It's all about the vibe!
This one seems pretty cool
It's very tasty
Interesting 🤔 🧐
It's definitely interesting
Spooky 👻 ☠ Dig the Specks 👓 👍
I like to change them occasionally
Nice spin on a “Jack and Coke”!
Something a little different
just infuse the spirit with oreo?
I think that would make an interesting flavour
I made a Rum & Coke and a Jack & Coke with the Oreo Coke Zero... i found both the bourbon and the rum made the oreo flavor completely vanish! ..on it's own, I didnt like it, to me it tasted like a regular Coke Zero but then the aftertaste, feels like you just scarfed down like 5 oreo cookies
Yeah, I feel like it has a SUPER vanilla aftertaste
It would have to be diet cola! Lol! Otherwise too sweet! Looks interesting! Cheers Andrew! 🙂
It's coke zero, so no sugar, but the artificial sweetness is pretty high.
@@AngryCocktails Yay!! Sounds interesting Andrew!! I’d like to try this cocktail!
dude ur underrated dont ever let that stop you
Thanks mate.

💀
Spoooky! and well explained!
Thanks! This exploration all started after watching your "coozie" videos.
This is the video I need! I have the skull molds!
It's time!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on local apple brandy. I love Calvados but the local stuff here in the northeast States is incredible!
I've had some local apple brandy in the place but it's actually pretty uncommon
I've really got to get on my apple brandy game, there are plenty of recipes I'm missing out on!
It's definitely worth having some ready
Nice. That's a "must try" for when get some Apple Cider Brandy, which is the most local option for the base.
Definitely worth trying
I haven't heard of this one; but I'd do my best to drink first, then pronounce later. Great job Andrew. - Cam
You haven't heard of it because I invented it ;)
Hey Andrew, apple brandy would be an A+ for me, great add there, especially for the Fall. - Cam
You'd like this one Cam
Oh this would be delicious! I will make this for Thanksgiving!! Joel will love it too!! Hubs!! Awesome video Andrew - my fave type of cocktails - Manhattan riffs and stirred down!! Happy Thanksgiving!! 🙂
This would go great with a Thanksgiving dinner!

@@AngryCocktails YW Andrew!! 🙂
That's easy for you to say Andrew 😄

Your pronunciation is actually better than most 🤣 this sounds fantastic! Montenegro is among my top fav Amari!
I'm gonna pretend you aren't referring to me when you say "most". 😂
@@CoachVinoLLC All of you say it wrong! 🤣
The good news is the way we say it (“vu,” quite simply-like “boo”) in New Orleans pisses off the French, too.
It's nice to know I'm inproving
Saw this a while ago now I’m going to make it!! Does sound great. Ok just made with Lustau Solera sherry. Damn this is tasty perfect colder weather cocktail.
It's well worth trying
These ingredients sound delicious. I'm thinking about getting my first ever bottle of Sherry, Amontillado, for a few cocktails. Amontillado, Oloroso Solera & PX are the 3 I've been thinking about, but only 1 at a time for me, the same as you good sir.
Sherry is good but I can't justify having all the varieties
