What a great interview. The interviewer didn't over step and really listened to her.
I spoke too soon, LOL. The questions started to take a downward twist.
I'm so glad she wrote Lover and Folklore, the future answered these questions (writing about happy emotions and concept album)

I agree with the first two posters. I thought the CCMAs were supposed to be about celebrating Canadian country musicians. I like Taylor Swift, but I don't think the Canadian Country Music Association should be giving her an award - that should be reserved for Canadians.

Jesus christ can you write ONE song that has more substance to it than men/boys? Like oh idk does she not care about world issues or has she never had a loved one die heck ANYTHING besides relationship songs.....sick of it.
If you actually bothered to listen to her music you would know she has many songs that aren’t about boys. Eg.
“ Shake it off” “blank space” “22” “ tied together with a smile” “the outside” “innocent” “never grow up” “a place in this world” “ long live” “ change” “ the best day” “mean” “ the lucky one” “welcome to New York” “I did something bad”
There’s also “Mary’s Song”, “Fifteen”, “Breathe”, “You Are In Love”, “Look What You Made Me do”, “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things”.... besides, @Hannah Casey if you clicked on this video for nothing but just to write a not-even-factual hateful comment, I strongly advise you to find something better to do with your life. I know this was 5 years ago, but I hope you’ve changed.
Swiftly Ridley Swiftly Ridley actually I have done my research and most of her songs ARE about her ex boyfriends. Blank space is about many ex’s. So please don’t chew Hannah Hall. Ur oblivious to that. Her career is based on writing about personal experiences and every guy she dated that broke her hurt she clearly wrote about him. Hat always how I remember her. @@sarahburkett4790 blank space isn't actually about her ex's, it's about how the media has portrayed her to be. The media portrays her as a manipulative psycho, serial dater and in this song she takes their words and throws it back at them.... that's why it's such a masterpiece. Taylor, herself, has even described it as taking the joke and making it better so that when the media does trash her it's not as funny or offensive anymore. She has explained the concept many times in interviews, you should check them out!!
