This video lesson is better than another one you made on the same subject. I wanted to know what to do with the raw inside edges and I thank you for showing what to do here. I also wanted a good way to attach magnetic snaps; you did that here, too. These little purses are super cute. So pretty. So practical.
I just found your videos and I am enjoying them very much. Thank you. I needed to start with about 7 and a half inches for American money, but it was so easy I can't believe it!
Lizzy these Purse's you are showing us are SO easy. and the beauty of having a laptop or tablet is we can stop go back and sew along with you. Thank you Lizzy. i never tire of your videos . in fact i look forward to them. x
This pattern is wonderful! Two seams...wow! I do need to stop using directional fabric on patterns like this...i tend to make things upside down. Oh well..I decided to applique a house right side up so it wouldn't be so noticeable and that worked quite well. Thanks Izzy for another great lesson!! ❤️
HELLO Lizzy! I stumble across your wonderful channel AND I am the fabric designer of the fabric you are using. "Dog Gone Fun" through Blank Quilting Corp. How fun is that! Really fun to see your cute wallet. 👋😍
I LOVE reading this! Fab Tutorial and GORGEOUS fabric!!! Thankyou So Much Lizzy, I will be making this but a little bigger with more pockets so I can use it as a bag too🤗
sorry to be off topic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the account password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
@Charlie Jimmy I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hi Lizzy - hope you are still reviewing comments - I would LOVE to figure out how to add a cross body strap to this - I assume that I can make the one piece of fabric a bit wider so that the bag is a bit wider. What are your thoughts on a crossbody strap - if you are not interested could you recommend a good generic cross body strap making video? Appreciate any time spent to help me
Many of my bags have straps, but the simplest is a 4” width which you fold up to create a 1” strap. This purse is a bit small for a cross body, I highly suggest my pattern Serendipity it’s perfect!
Thank you so much for the magnetic clasp tutorial. I have made loads of these little purses, love them, but have ruined about half of them because I just can't get those dratted snaps to work! Either they don't close or they close so tight I can't open them again.
I made a purse/wallet and tried to use the snaps. I could not figure out how they snapped. The points in both wouldn't allow it. I know if it wasn't there they would snap. I even cut them out in 1 attempt and it was a no go. Love the pouch, but Help...on the snaps. I will make another and use the magnetic closures. Looks much easier
@@LizzyCurtis come to find out....I had the wrong tool. UGH!!! I have the correct one on order and should arrive Monday. Totally excited😁Thank you again!
So great! Quick question: I made this today and was wondering if you had any suggestions to clean up the bottom so it looks a little neater if I wanted to make one as a gift? Thank you! LOVE your channel and I subscribed!
Sally, I found one online and ordered it. I signed up and got 15% off and free shipping. I also live in the US. www.craftstash.us/xcut-screw-hole-punch-includes-3-tips.html
Sally, I also found a few on Amazon. Lots of different prices. Here is one. www.amazon.com/Home-Mart-Leather-Sewing-Revolving/dp/B078GJ7RHW/ref=sr_1_31?keywords=screw+hole+punch&qid=1578808005&sr=8-31
Love this fabric purse Lizzie!! This is great for myself as a beginner. Where did you get the "magnetic closures"? And where are you getting all of the beautiful fabrics that you use in your videos?
Hazel Blair because this is the one piece purse the raw edges are tucked inside and you need them to be open till that last turn. So you could glue them together if you can get your fingers in there, or just top stitch right across the bottom... that seals them nicely xx
@@LizzyCurtis I can’t even remember what I did yesterday 😹🤪😜🤣 you can always make a note to add that info to your next video. Actually you could even leave a comment and pin it to the top as a reminder for anyone trying this
Corrine Crawford once you know where to look it’s easy... if you’re watching on your phone there’s a tiny grey triangle to the right of your screen just under the video... it’s tiny!! I wish I could post a picture!!!
Brilliant, may use magnets on my sewing mat when I make it, I take it you source your batting, magnets, etc from uk.

Either hand stitch before the 2nd turn through or top stitch the bottom edge when it’s all finished
Love this pattern just need about a 10" w x 6" deep make a great size. I did it, but had a problem placing the flap magnet.
I really enjoy watching your videos,Thanks so much Lizzy.

I came to the comment section to ask about the right measurements for American currency. Thank you!! Can’t wait to make one this weekend. :)

Perfect one..
Hi. I would love to see the finished project inside. How many pockets you end up with?
2
I was wondering how can you round the corners off on the closing flat. It that possible. Love to know.
Worth a try! Let me know x
Thank you so much for the magnetic clasp tutorial. I have made loads of these little purses, love them, but have ruined about half of them because I just can't get those dratted snaps to work! Either they don't close or they close so tight I can't open them again.
lin pulver 😘
The only time I had that problem was the clamp, was not on straight and when I squeezed it smashed the pin. I love the snaps!
For ages I had trouble with the snaps, but I found if I held the tool towards the middle then it worked.
where did you get your hole punch? I can't find one so easy.
Very nice and easy I like it very much just want to know the length and width of the fabric please
It’s all written in the description xx
I made a purse/wallet and tried to use the snaps. I could not figure out how they snapped. The points in both wouldn't allow it. I know if it wasn't there they would snap. I even cut them out in 1 attempt and it was a no go. Love the pouch, but Help...on the snaps.
I will make another and use the magnetic closures. Looks much easier
The centre points need to be flattened, maybe the pressure you used wasn’t great enough.
@@LizzyCurtis come to find out....I had the wrong tool. UGH!!! I have the correct one on order and should arrive Monday. Totally excited😁Thank you again!
Where do I find the description box please
It’s an upside down V on the right side of the screen under the video. It’s a standard TH-cam setting not something I have added.
I’m new to you 2 videos. Where do I find the subscription box to get pattern
The dimensions etc are in the description just click “more”
I love how easy this is but howwould you fold with a one way design so the fold over is not upside down?
Good question!
Me, too. I prefer the magnetic closure. Are you using the 14mm size? Great project.
jaime 1251 they are 14mm ! Yay
Where is the description located at
So great! Quick question: I made this today and was wondering if you had any suggestions to clean up the bottom so it looks a little neater if I wanted to make one as a gift? Thank you! LOVE your channel and I subscribed!
You can turn the pocket to the back, top stitch the gap closed then fold it back again x
Lizzy! Omg! I just found your tutorials! Love them! Where would I find the fabric hole punch? I am in the USA.
Sally, I am in the USA and found Martha Stewart’s hole punch at Michael’s. I was going to go get one until I remembered I already had one! Lol

What is the name of the tool you used to make the holes in the fabric?
Hole punch tool

Devoria Hall thank you! Amazon, they are 14mm if that helps xx
@@LizzyCurtis Thanks again!
Lizzy. would binding the row pocket edges or zigzagging the all so work to seal the raw edges ? just wondering!
Hazel Blair because this is the one piece purse the raw edges are tucked inside and you need them to be open till that last turn. So you could glue them together if you can get your fingers in there, or just top stitch right across the bottom... that seals them nicely xx
@@LizzyCurtis oh right. thank you. x
Hazel Blair actually thinking about it! Yes you could zig zag then turn the pockets through!!! Thanks Hazel !!!
What size is fabric
Those snaps needed to be reinforced with some extra fusible fleece
You’re quite right, and if I didn’t do that I’ll go to the bottom of the class! I can’t always remember every detail, I just enjoy my sewing.
