    Brilliant, may use magnets on my sewing mat when I make it, I take it you source your batting, magnets, etc from uk.

    This video lesson is better than another one you made on the same subject. I wanted to know what to do with the raw inside edges and I thank you for showing what to do here. I also wanted a good way to attach magnetic snaps; you did that here, too. These little purses are super cute. So pretty. So practical.

      Either hand stitch before the 2nd turn through or top stitch the bottom edge when it’s all finished

    This pattern is wonderful! Two seams...wow! I do need to stop using directional fabric on patterns like this...i tend to make things upside down. Oh well..I decided to applique a house right side up so it wouldn't be so noticeable and that worked quite well. Thanks Izzy for another great lesson!! ❤️

    Hi Lizzy - hope you are still reviewing comments - I would LOVE to figure out how to add a cross body strap to this - I assume that I can make the one piece of fabric a bit wider so that the bag is a bit wider. What are your thoughts on a crossbody strap - if you are not interested could you recommend a good generic cross body strap making video? Appreciate any time spent to help me

    • @LizzyCurtis
      @LizzyCurtis  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Many of my bags have straps, but the simplest is a 4” width which you fold up to create a 1” strap. This purse is a bit small for a cross body, I highly suggest my pattern Serendipity it’s perfect!

    Thank you so much for the magnetic clasp tutorial. I have made loads of these little purses, love them, but have ruined about half of them because I just can't get those dratted snaps to work! Either they don't close or they close so tight I can't open them again.

    I made a purse/wallet and tried to use the snaps. I could not figure out how they snapped. The points in both wouldn't allow it. I know if it wasn't there they would snap. I even cut them out in 1 attempt and it was a no go. Love the pouch, but Help...on the snaps.
    I will make another and use the magnetic closures. Looks much easier

    • @LizzyCurtis
      @LizzyCurtis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The centre points need to be flattened, maybe the pressure you used wasn’t great enough.

    • @LizzyCurtis
      @LizzyCurtis  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hazel Blair because this is the one piece purse the raw edges are tucked inside and you need them to be open till that last turn. So you could glue them together if you can get your fingers in there, or just top stitch right across the bottom... that seals them nicely xx
