This interview has been circulating for a long time. I am just merely bringing it back to life. I chose to upload this interview because most of my TikTok fam knew I was trying to induct Layne Staley into the Rock Hall of Fame.
Most people scoff and say, "That's not something Layne wants because it's so mainstream!"
Get off your high horse.
Layne wanted mainstream success. He didn't plan to be a musician without recognition. Just because you, a rock fan, want to keep him to yourself. It is not what Layne Staley wanted.
He worked his butt off but he had a problem that stunted his way to the top and made him a target for bad press. It doesn't make him less of a talented person. He should be acknowledged and noticed for his talent. Not for his habits.
