Gift truly lives up to her name -- such a gift she is. Phitsanulok is a place where angels are born. I've been married to a P-loke angel for 27 years now. Thank you, Gift for opening up and giving a glimpse into your past. In my humble opinion, your meeting was not as much about fate as it was divine intervention. Truely a Gift that keeps on giving.
The time Gift slept on the couch when you were in the hospital is so touching and then when you both first went on a trip together was the start of the trip you both are on now. Your videos are so heart warming and I hope to go to Thailand with my wife and meet both of you. I think about the two situation above quite often. I know Gift and my wife would hit it off or more like right out of the ball park. Via con Dios.

Really enjoy the vintage style of the buildings and streets. Nice to maintain and preserve the past for future generations. True craftsmen and artisans; hard to imagine anyone trying to replicate or duplicate such wondrous beauty. Interesting sad story of her childhood and history with her father. What you said is so true Joe, words to live by! My long -standing sentiments too. Joe, you and Gift are so lucky to have each other. I love that Gift was comfortable enough and love you to the point of sharing "her" story. Being Asian myself, I believe all that Gift has told you! A true love story! Even with Gift's own words, the tale was so endearing and romantic. I was tearing up myself!
The Paella rice dish looked great, you ordered the real deal dish there. Well it must have been hard for Gift to open up to tell everyone of her past and what happened back then. Love watching your videos. It was fate that brought you both together. I too am a veteran (retired Navy) and now about to retire again as a DoD civilian. I've been watching your videos since you retired from DoD Joe. My wife is also Asian (Filipina) and I truly believe that it was fate when we found each other 40 years ago and are still together today. I couldn't imagine life without her. Holding unto anger is like drinking poison expecting the other person to die. I helped my wife Chatchada take care of her drunk brother until he past away 2022. I would not give him money but gave food and shelter near us. I did pay for his funeral to ease the burden of the family since he never married. My wife loved him remembering the man he once was. I know saying your last Farwell to someone you love is very hard beyond imagination. I am glad you both found each other creating a beautiful life together. Most Thai's have a beautiful loving heart always willing to help others in need. I am very thankful for being blessed in life with my wife.

Interesting story of Gift's Father. Madrid Paella was very saap. I fly to Estepona, Spain next month. Estepona is about 50 minutes on drive from Malaga. The town is mostly Britons retired that live there.
