Hi Gift and Joe, I am running out of superlatives to describe your vlogs on this trip, and today is no exception! Madrid is a wonderful city with plenty to see and you seem to have picked out all the best bits. The Plaza Mayor was first built in the early 17th century and the building that you highlighted with the colourful mosaics was originally the town's bakery! As you are aware from your trip to Venice, there are increasing numbers of tourists visiting the great cities of Europe and as a result, sadly, queueing becomes inevitable. However, that 20 minute queue was well worth the wait to enter the Royal Palace, which is apparently the largest palace in Europe! I am so glad that you were able to film in there and show as the majesty and splendour of this now, purely ceremonial, palace. It is not too difficult to cast one's mind back to the days when this palace was the main residence of the monarchs of Spain, with servants and vast banquets and balls held there. Fantastic! Yet again you have excelled yourselves in showing us all the delicious food which you are sampling throughout your grand tour. It makes my Khoa man gai seem very plain, but none the less delicious🙂 Looking forward with eager anticipation to the next leg of your journey in Prague. The Royal Palace of Madrid a baroque masterpiece of 18;century is the largest Palace of Europe build with 3.418 rooms and 1.452.000 sq ft buil the double for the exemple of Versalles in the interior thousands of paintings of great masters ; countless valué art objects statues of Bernini' s for exemple and the largest Stradivarius collection of the world " Stradivarius Palatinos" and the best Royal.Armory of the World .

Love the way you guys interact and kid with each other. Glad there were Asian cuisine restaurants for Gift to enjoy on this European adventure. You are so accommodating Joe, a true gentleman! Funny Joe, go in ALL the rooms? Hahahahaha The Royal Palace is very, very impressive! So well maintained, I can just imagine the annual maintenance budget. The tourists seem to be so respectful of the surroundings too. All I can say is WOW! Paella is the go-to dish when in Spain. The audio and video quality has been superb. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience with your viewers.

Thank you for giving us the food and hotel prices. Very useful for us that like to travel. Restaurants in SpIn seem more affordable that Italy.
I visited Prag one week long tim ago, there was many places near the astronomical clock where I had the chance to listen freely music training by small orchestras (preparing for the festival) . Just walk around ;-) There is too one famous bridge and castle...and some bohemian crystal shops.
What a stunning building the Royal Palace is......incredible rooms designed and built by people with real skills. Thanks for sharing joe & Gift and looking forward to your next instalment of your travels! Take care and safe travels guys 🙂

We’ve had good rain on about 5 occasions over the past three weeks and the forecast is for rain all this week. Ta Mong Lai has changed from desert brown to a deep green colour. We went down there today because our granddaughter is learning art at the scout camp.

I said that we were visiting 6 countries. Obviously having lived in Europe for over 30 years. I know that Prague is not a country and it is part of the Czech Republic. “You Americans” whatever that is supposed to mean.
