Very bright was that sword when it was made whole again; the light of the sun shone redly in it, and the light of the moon shone cold, and its edge was hard and keen. And Aragorn gave it a new name and called it Andúril, Flame of the West!
Here is a tip......seal your wood with a light layer of Acrylic wood filler then sand it back down with fine sand paper. That way you can hide the grain of the wood and create a smooth surface to paint on. It allows you to go really glossy with the finish. You can then add paint and wipe it off to look like real metal.

And i can now say that the swords you make are what I've set as a goal for myself for these next years. Though i believe keeping the wood unpainted is often a better aesthetic than hiding it under the metal paintjob
I cant get over the amount of effort you put into these videos. Not only making the swords, but placing the camera at just the right angle is truly artistic. Amazing work friend!

Shame this channel appears to be dead. Only just found it and I love the wooden weapon builds. Would have loved to see a gothic Flanged Mace, a proper medieval Warhammer, a Poleaxe or even the epicness of a 5'9" to 6' long full size Flamberge Zweihander Greatsword.

If you don’t already watch Adam Savage’s Tested channel (yes that Adam Savage from Mythbusters) here on TH-cam, you should check it out. He has a lot of vids on workshop infrastructure. Well if you do make the Zweihander in particular. Make sure it’s as tall or a bit taller than you. Real Greatswords were polearms in the shape of a sword. A lot of modern reproductions (even by good sword brands like Albion) make them waaaay too small. So people often think they were smaller than they were.
Yeah because I work during the summer as tour guide on a boat around national park islands and I play guitar at the street everyday, then workshop came in October 2019.. it is a lot of work, we still didn't get machines nor electricity so I am still without videos.

Hi Bro I'm so sorry, I hope I will be back soon 😞 this corona virus messed everything up. Me and my Bro opened a craft for woodwork and we got funds from self-employment incentive from EU. We bought big woodworking machines from Austria (Hammer Groupe) and also big thing is that we are moving our workshop to a new location which is an old donkey barn made from stone, now cleaned and wooden floor made, wall painted and so on.. (3 months of work) all is ready for move in but tools delivery is postponed because of this situation. I am home in quarantine practicing music instruments, and thinking of new projects 🍻 I miss all of you Bros 💚 Moris

Very nice job as always! on one of my projects i also used paracord to make those ridges like those on the hilt! :D (mine was on a scabbard though) Also congrats on getting 100.000 subs! i wish for many more to come! cheers!

About 6 mm tapers to 4 mm 🍻 this is the thinnest wood sword I made for now
