My goodness, that fugue (No. 5) sounds so much like Brahms's concluding fugue in his Handel Variations, and not only because of that turning figure.
According to IMSLP this work was dedicated to Brahms, so it's no coincidence.
Great pianist, he really makes something of these etudes.
The keys of these etudes imply that Busoni planned 18 further etudes.
